Whoever made that petition needs to fucking grow up. Seriously, if you are a true wrestling fan and you have a passion for the business such as myself, you will tune in to all WWE, TNA, and ECW related shows. Chances are that Cena will retain his championship at Backlash. If you quit watching RAW just because they continue to push someone, then you shouldn't even bother to watch wrestling ever again. You can't always get what you want. The owner of WWE is Vincent Kennedy McMahon, and he damn sure aint gonna give the damn fans what they want. Just watch and enjoy!

Its probably aready been said someone else, but I for one don't watch RAW, the only wrestling show I watch is Smackdown. I stopped watching RAW when Kane left, so there really wasn't a reason for me to watch. I just get the highlights off WWE.com every week and read the RAW results from either this site or Rajah.com. ANd about Cena, I've stated before that while I don't care for the man, I don't hate him. I think that if WWE wants Cena to have a long reign as champ, then I support that decision.
Sorry to say this... Cena is the future of the business whether you like it or not. Get little kids to boycott Cena. As soon as the merchandise sales go down and fans stop paying to go to shows and such, then we'll see changes... until then, Cena is what we will have to deal with.

I'm in agreeance that a boycott of Raw wouldn't help/solve anything. I will be cheering on April the 29th for Cena to lose that belt more than anyone, but I refuse to give up watching Raw if he miraculously (like always) retains.
I don't have a problem with Cena holding the strap... what I have a problem with is the length of time in which he has had control of it. 20 of the last 24 months I think it is? Something ridiculous like that. Meanwhile Edge and RVD's title runs lasted little more than a month or so. There needs to be some sort of balance achieved with the title to make things a little more interesting on Raw... I think that way the "hating" on Cena would begin to die down just a bit (I'll always be hating on Cena)

I'm pissed some goober named Santion Morelli has the IC title... This is in my humble opioion one of the most prestigous titles in wrestling history. Just to name a few former champions....

Please! I really doubt this will work. How many so called boycotts have been called for in the past? And how many worked? NONE! I don't think anybody is going to listen to this, even if some do it won't be enough to make an impact. I remember when a guy called for a boycott of raw when TNA went up against it, didn't work, TNA got killed. The only reason Vince keeps this around him is because he makes money, when he stops making money he loses the belt. Until then we have to deal with him.

So the IWC doesn't have a voice. Just look at what is going on now. Pay Per View buy rates are down beneath UFC buy rates, why, because us "smarks" are the ones that buy PPV's. This is why the tri-brand ppv's are in effect because the smarks decided that we're not going to throw 40 bucks a month away for pay per views that were less enjoyable then Vince Russo booked WCW cards.
People like to put down the IWC as a bunch of fat losers with no time on are hand. True, but guess what, we run the business. I've watched this stuff since 85. Hogan worked because Hogan was on TV only on big events. You never saw Hogan on Wrestling Challenge or Superstars, only on SNME, or WM. Now week in and week out we have at least 2 or 3 segments of John Cena each monday, it's over kill. Hogan worked for two reason, 1, he's Hulk Freakin Hogan, 2. He wasnt shoved down our throats like Cena is every week.
The fans stopped watching WWE because of the mickey mouse crap in 95 and tuned into WCW. Vince got the idea. We as the fans are the ones that pushed Austin from under card to superstar.
The IWC is responsible for Mick Foley being WWE champion. Anyone remember the Time Man of the Year controversy?
The problem is Vince used to listen to the fans, and the Fans loved him for it. Vince turned himself into Mr. McMahon to play off the fans. That was turning an ear to the fans and listening. The John Cena as champion thing has gone on logner then the NWO's first run. Like all things, they run their course. Cena has had his time for 2 years, let someone else take the torch. The nWo was perhaps the most succesful angle ever, and people got tired of it.
People aren't asking anyone to give up wrestling, they are asking people to give up Raw for one night if Cena holds onto the title at Backlash. What's so hard to ask that? If you like Cena, fine, watch the trash inthe ring. Me on the other hand don't like being spoon fed Horseshit from Mr. McMahon. So eat the babyfood, drink the Kool-Aid, get your Chain Gang cancer band, spin your replica belt, that's fine. But if you can honestly look at Raw on a monday night and say it is even half the product it was 3 years ago, then you obviously started watching wrestling the night after WM 21.

Wow, 15 years...and since 85? Wow, you two have one up on me...well, except I've been watching wrestling since I could open my eyes, back in 1982. Boycotting the post Backlash Raw, WILL DO ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING!!!! As much as you want to believe it, not everyone on this board is a smark...unlike you two. Yes, because we all know that eveyone can comprehend and are completly conscious at the time they open their eyes. So because they've added 4 pay per views, they have less buy rates then UFC's 12. Um, ya that's simple math. When you have 16 pay per views and an average of 2.5 more each week then UFC on Television, and then UFC out sells you on buyrates with 4 less pay per views, that's a problem.
If you're happy with the product, fine watch it, who gives a shit, you like watching garbage that's your personnel choice. If people don't want to watch for one night, what's it too you? And..I see you petition is going ohhhhhhh so well. The same guy signed it 6 times..not to mention there are at least 4 pro-cena comments on the damn thing...as well as the person trying to be John Cena. This is all obviously falling into place sooooooooooooo well. Whats next? No need to get all snarky about this. IF it works all well and good, I doubt it will. There is no need for you to get Sarcastic about this. It is an idea, one that won't work but its an idea of voicing displeasure with the product to Vincent K. McMahon. It is one way but it won't work. I don't have a problem with anyone, but Cena fansneed to back up their arguments with more than the Merchandising thing, that is the only thing they come up with. As for straight Edgers I don't have a problem with them, but I do have a problem with people that think that they are better than me, thats wrong and they know it. Im a wrestling fan as well as a lot of other people on this site, but that is off topic. But on topic If this petition works all well and good, if it doesn't no skin off of my back. Same as this planned boycotting of the RAW after Backlash, if it doesn't work no skin off of my back. It doesn't affect me because Im in a different country that pretty much can only watch WWE and one local promotion. Anyway I think Cena fans are sick of him with the title if they know about wrestling more than what is told to them by WWE.

This has nothing to do with the petition to get the belt off of Cena. If people think that's going to work, they are living in a fantasy world. The idea is to boycott one raw after Backlash. That's the whole point of this thread. If it's too much for your mind to comprehend, I get that. Most wrestling fans can't think unless McMahon tells them what to say, so I know it's not your fault.

Onto the subject at hand, fact of the matter is, the average WWE Fan is not sick of Cena having the title, not like back last year when they had to get the title off of him because he was getting boo'd everywhere he went. Its only really the IWC that wants the belt off of him so badly, and unfortunately the IWC is such a small percentage of the WWE audience that any sort of boycott would most likely have little if no impact at all.

I agree Xfear as you hit the nail on the head ever since Wrestlemania the man has been booed. Hell even Jr and King are having to come up with reasons as to explain why Cena is getting booed. The average is growing tired of seeing the same guy with belt for over two years as us the IWC and the average fans wants a change as to be honest with Cena as champ things have gotten stale. A change be good but any boycott will do nothing as Johnny said the IWC is a small part of the whole wrestling fanbase.
