I've never cried during a movie

You are all a bunch of fucking *****es, seriously they're movies for fuck sake, THEY ARE NOT REAL.

In what sense do you mean they are not real? Movies are real, people go to see them/buy them because they exist and are not imagined. Stories are real even if the story is fiction. They're designed to engage emotions, whether the emotion be joy, sorrow, thoughtfulness etc. It could be said because someone laughs at comedy they are insane because, "They are not real" but that isn't the case is it? It's a release of a different emotion via the same medium and techniques.

It doesn't really matter if someone does/doesn't cry at a film, the company make their money anyway irregardless if someone worships or detests a film.

So let me get this straight, I call you a pussy for crying at a movie, and the part of the post you take offense to is me saying movies are not real, cause I totally meant that to be taken literally:rolleyes:

What in the holiest of shits does this have to do with anything?

Well I don't take offense to indirect generalisations personally. Like when anyone rants about the IWC wanting this or wanting that, I don't think, 'Hey, I'm part of the IWC! How dare they!' Plus I've been called worse to my face so reading '*****es' isn't really that big a deal :)

I was genuinely enquiring what you were meaning about them not being real though, so if you do fancy answering that then feel free.

The final point wasn't necessarily aimed at you, it was just a general thought about the film industry, because we're discussing films. Hope that's cleared everything up for you now.

Even though I'm LOLing hardcore at Justin calling everyone *****es for crying during a movie, I couldn't disagree more. Art is meant to evoke emotion out of you, and that includes sadness sometimes. I've shed tears while watching a few films before because of how much they've meant to me and how beautiful of a work I've considered them to be, but it's rare for my to shed any tears just from sheer drama in a film. It takes something special to get me misty eyed. Last time I got misty eyed was probably while watching Enter the Void, but I was also highly intoxicated so that also made me more vulnerable.

I went to watch Senna on Tuesday night for the second time. I cried quite a bit... both times. Such a well done ending to the film.
