Well it's been a year and a half now since Hogan and Bischoff joined TNA, back in January of 2010, and I'd like to hear people's thoughts on whether they liked the product more before or after Hogan and Bischoff debuted.
In my opinion, I've liked the product more since the two joined. As soon as they signed they were persistent on grabbing the top free agents available at the time in Jeff Hardy, RVD, and Mr Anderson. They also brought in wrestling legend Ric Flair along with other names such as Scott Hall, X Pac, The Nasty Boys, Shawn Morley and Orlando Jordan.
I admit that they started slow and made some bold decisions, such as getting rid of the six sided ring which garnered a lot of criticism, but their decisions also garnered a lot of praise and approval.
I think pairing Styles, Storm, and Roode with Ric Flair has really gotten the three over like never before because everyone knew they were great wrestlers, but now not only are they great wrestlers, but they're also good, well-established characters. During the past year and a half, a lot of character development has been put into them as they formed Fourtune, joined Immortal and then turned face by leaving Immortal.
They've also been able to introduce new characters and establish them well such as Crimson and Gunner, while also mixing in the vets and Legends.
I'm enjoying the product right now and though it needs work, I think management is constantly testing what works and what doesn't, which is why the product never becomes stale. Anything can happen in Impact Wrestling, like Gunner getting clean pins on Sting and Mr Anderson, and I really enjoy the spontaneity of it.
I also like that TNA has a number of faces that make it easy for you to root for as well as hate-able heels who you love to root against.
All in all, I am a fan of the Hogan/Bischoff regime and I think the current product is probably the best it has ever been. My guess would be that things are only going to get better from here.
