First of all, MrHashasheen is right. People, myself included, label the IWC as if its one unit. It’s not that at all. It is a collection of individuals with independent thoughts, ideas, and opinions. With that said I completely understand where the OP is coming from. There do seem to be certain subjects in which the majority of the IWC agree.
One thing that seems to be contagious in the IWC is negativity. Many times I have called out people on their negativity. I have done so out of frustration when I feel the negativity is out of line. However, despite how much I disagree with many of the common IWC opinions, this place would be pretty boring if everyone just posted how great things are. I think its basic human nature to share complaints and keep compliments to yourself. If you go out to a restaurant and have a great meal and good service you will be satisfied but probably won’t go out of your way to tell anybody about it. However, if you have terrible service and find a band aid in your food you’re probably going to tell everyone about it. Stories with a negative spin on them tend to be more interesting and entertaining and they bring more attention to the storyteller.
Even though I have been critical of negative posters before it’s not the negativity that bothers me. It’s the inaccuracy in the arguments that gets under my skin. You want to see guys like Zack Ryder pushed? That’s fine, but don’t give me the old tired argument that WWE isn’t making new stars. Just about everyone who wants a push for Ryder or a title reign for Christian says WWE is shoving the same old guys down out throats. They are completely ignoring the fact that The Miz, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Dolph Ziggler, and Alberto Del Rio have received significant pushes in the last year. A lot of people are too worried about the future that they can’t enjoy the present. If Ryder all of a sudden got the big push I guarantee the very people who have been craving it will tire of it after a couple months. They’re always looking for the next thing. By the way, the definition of a push is not becoming world champion. A guy can get a good push without winning a title or even winning a feud or match.
Another terrible inaccuracy is people wanting “real wrestling” back instead of sports entertainment. WWE has been sports entertainment since day one, long before any of us were born. I don’t know what you think “real wrestling” is but it has never been in WWE. The best part is when they say they want “real wrestling” like back in the attitude era. The attitude era focused less on the in ring product than any other era ever has. People think sports entertainment is some kind of insult but it’s really the only thing we’ve ever know.
My real problem is with the people who go on a hate filled rant claiming that WWE is so awful yet they continue to watch it every week. What’s wrong with these people? Obviously they don’t realize how stupid they look when posting like that. I watch tv for my own enjoyment and if I don’t find enjoyment in a show I don’t watch it. Obviously these people do enjoy WWE or they wouldn’t watch. The bottom line is every one of us enjoys professional wrestling. If we didn’t we would not read this forum and we damn sure wouldn’t be a registered member. All I ask is when you’re going on one of your rants keep in mind WWE is something that you enjoy. Feel free to criticize but show a little gratitude and don’t be so disrespectful. If any one of you had the opportunity to meet Vince McMahon you would all be kissing his ass and thanking him for the years of entertainment. Anyone who says otherwise and thinks they would tell him off is either delusional or a liar.
By no means am I saying everyone post only nice things. Let’s hear some criticism and different opinions. Go ahead and show some passion in your arguments. Just be accurate and keep in mind that even the most harsh critic on here still thinks wrestling is fun.
Now I can’t help but address a few individual comments.
plus I don't know if I can get suspended for this but IMO the moderators are taking it way too seriously with the rules, banning me for a sign is really out of line.
You got banned for breaking the rules many times in a six day span. The sig just happened to be the last straw.
If being tired of Super Cena makes me a bitch, then I guess I'm a bitch.
But I'd rather bitch than be a McMahon mark who makes excuses for every bad decision the WWE makes. No one should settle for mediocrity when it could be much much better.
You say no one should settle for mediocrity. If you think WWE is mediocre and you continue to watch then you are guilty of settling for mediocrity.
I always have, and and always will hate the IWC. These unemployed losers sit all day on the computer thinking they are the gods of booking, storyline creation, etc, yet do nothing. They over analyze every match, and storyline to the point that no matter what happens, it'll never be good enough. They blow their loads over knobs like Daniel Bryan, and The Jiz, yet never appreciate what legends like Flair, Hogan have done, even in non-wrestling roles like they have now.
The IWC is the reason the Impact Zone comes across as a complete dump even more than what it is.
FYI you being a member of this forum makes you a member of the IWC.
