Is it just me

It has been pretty fun. With the fighting like cats and dogs between your friendly neighborhood g-mods, the NWS sections being busier than ever, and Luther being around, things have been great. There's one more thing though.

No Way Out is looking like a sweet PPV. At the end of the day, a good wrestling show fixes everything. WWE is at the best I've seen in a long time right now and they have been for a few weeks. Look at the debating going on about it. Even with the new rules dragging it down (I'm ready for round 3 anytime Sly) the debates are hot. With Wrestlemania coming up, the next two months should be AWESOME.

Yeah what is up with the relaxed spam rules?

Is it an official change? What's considered spam now?

Spam is a post that does not generate discussion, it's not really that hard to figure out, if you can't figure it out you shouldn't be a mod, much less a G-mod

What I meant was, you don't see the Board room, and the amount of arguing that goes on over what is spam and what isn't. Just this morning, there was an argument for like 5 hours which started with someone infracting a post someone else didn't think was spam.

If you give a position, and give a reason to support it, it's not spam. Basically, just read the rules on WZ spam, and follow it. Don't apply any additional interpretations.

Slyfox annoyed IC and Shocky so much they relaxed them to shut him up.
Doubtful, they probably just saw the wisdom in the suggestion, as well as the fact that people were posting more under the unofficial test run we had, and thought it was worth a shot.

And they've been proven right.

Well the rules are still the same in the rules..but apparently we don't infract as much now.
Exactly. We actually moderate by the rules that we set, not some hidden definition of length like we used to.

Pretty much. As long as you give your opinion and back it up, then it's not spam.
If you don't give any reasons, then it's spam.

Basically all it means is you don't have to repeat yourself 5 times to avoid an infraction.
Exactly. Just give a position and tell why. The way it should be.

Staff members have to get adjusted to it as well. You can't expect something like this without an adjustment period. And, since everyone seems to want to credit ME with the change in the rules (although I feel it wrongly placed), then I feel I should at least explain how I saw it when I suggested it.

Yeah this place really has become better. I mean so many people posting, so many threads being made, so many things to do

:disappointed:

Somehow, this doesn't surprise me...

So, the rule hasn't changed, your balls have been cut off. I see now ;)

...I wish I could tell you.

If I wanted to stoop down to some crappy level of posting, I'd make random posts, and see which one gets me infracted, just so I have a better definition of the rule.

So, you agree with me, but don't agree with me? I'm confused.

This is part of the reason I'm against it as well. As mods, you have much better things to do (i.e. MODERATING), than arguing about how well someone is doing their job.

And, it has nothing to do with this being the road to Wrestlemania?

And, since everyone seems to want to credit ME with the change in the rules (although I feel it wrongly placed), then I feel I should at least explain how I saw it when I suggested it.

Then, who was it that wanted the new spam rules?

We have much more posting this year than we did at the same time last year. This is as active as the forums have been since I've been here.

I pushed for it hard. But, I'm not the one who decides to do it, that's IC and Shocky.

I credit Jonny, the new rules, and the fact that the bar doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

Once they actually lay down rules for what can't be done in The Bar Room (instead of sticking to the extremely vague "don't cross the line"), this place will be back in tip-top shape again.
