Is Batista best for Wrestlemania?

Getting Noticed By Management
Has Batista been a huge flop since his return? YES. Has Batista had a good match since his return? NO. Is Batista getting over with the fans as a proper heel or face? NO. Has Batista had many 5 star matches in the past? NOT EVEN CLOSE. Any fans actually think Batista can produce a good match worthy of the Wrestlemania 30 main event? NO

I doubt I'm the only one, but besides the fact that Batista and Orton have seen the littlest amount of tv time and buildup to a Wrestlemania main event match that I could ever remember (where is the the promos and buildup I don't see anything??) And I haven't seen Batista put on one good show yet, or even close to it. When I see Batista in the ring all I can say is "this is going to be one horrible Wrestlemania match, and not even Bryan can save it".

Batista has been the only guy on the roster, that matches a Bryan match look bad, not even Bryan makes Batista look good. He just doesn't mesh well with anyone, he never really did back 4 years ago, besides maybe Cena, and even then Batista usually needed some big gimmick tied into all of his matches, yes look back most of Batistas matches had gimmicks (last man standing, HIAC, street fight, cage, prision match ect..).

Here would be my plan. Since battle royal is now in place with 30 men. On next weeks Raw pull a Batista fake injury, with the following week announcing Batista will be missing Wrestlemania, and I'm sure the crowd would go wild for it. Announce that the battle royal winner will face Randy Orton, and Bryan if he wins his match.

This then opens the door to get anyone WWE wants in its "biggest match" including the likes of Cena if they wish while still having him face Bray, or even getting Bray him self in the match, or Roman, maybe Cesaro could win, who else besides those 4 guys been hotter? Even Ziggler could win, knowing the Mania crowd will be hot for him, Lesnar could win it, Undertaker could even be thrown in and win. Imagine that Undertaker in the battle royal putting the streak on the line, a second time after going aginst Brock is a epic brawl. Or even shock the crowd even more by having Punk return as the 30th guy to enter the battle royal.

WWE could really have the chance to make the 30 man Andre the Giant battle royal one of the most exciting matches in the history of Wrestlemania, just depending on the guys they wanted in the match and playing double duty or even triple duty.

I think all can agree some of the guys listed above such as Cena, Cesaro, Roman, Bray, Lesnar, Ziggler, Undertaker, Lesnar, and Punk (highly doubtful he comes back) would all make a match with Orton & Bryan in the main event far better then Batista could ever think of doing. Not to mention they avoid any and all boring & you cant wrestle chants that are sure to target Batista during the match.

So you have just assumed that the match will be shit because of Batista?

Or is it, that you just hate Batista so YOU don't want him to be in the title match?

I assume the latter.

Some people just need to find anything to whine and complain. When Bryan was not in the title match, everybody was whining about that. Now its almost certain that Bryan will be in the title match yet there are STILL people whining because Batista is in the title match. Wow...

I'm ok with Batista being in it. He looks like he is going thru the motions right now, but he is still a fresh face relatively speaking given his absence these last few years. And his past ties to Orton and HHH make storyline a bit smoother than throwing someone who has had no involvement in this Authority storyline into this mix.

every single thing in this is just an opinion
but somehow you think it's a fact
Batista is doing great as a heel ..in fact i enjoy his promo's as a heel much more than someone like cena or the rock
and he's almost back to his ring shape since his match with ziggler
IMO batista have been in some of the best matches in WWE with undertaker,EDGE,HHH,Cena,SM,orton etc

you hate the guy and that's ok but plz don't post your opinions as facts

Has Batista had a good match by my standards? NO. Has Batista had a good match by Wrestlemania standards? YES. Is Batista willing to sell to Daniel Bryan? YES. Will Daniel Bryan carry Batista and work to make him look marketable? YES. Will fans warm up to Batista if he shares in Daniel Bryan's popularity? YES. Are my shoes tied? NO. (they're zipper boots)

Oh pish posh my good man. I feel kind of strange saying this, but try to have a sunnier attitude every now and then. I agree that the build has been shoddy, perhaps Batista should have never mixed it up with Del Rio in the first place. I do recall seeing Batista compete against Daniel Bryan in a tag match on Raw, and he appeared to be selling Daniel Bryan as a viable main-event player very well. When I see Batista in the ring, all I can say is "What in the fuck happened to his face?".

Oh come on, Bryan doesn't make Batista look good? I'll admit that Batista vs Del Rio was a bland way to maintain an already misguided kick-start to his return. He was put into big matches when he could barely move and should have gotten his ring rust and butterflies remedied before he got back on tv.

Batista was always somewhat clunky in his performances, he really shined when he was working with people who were either part of HHH's posse or had Batista's respect as over performers. In working with Daniel Bryan, Batista seems willing to sell convincingly, which is all he has to do to hang in a Daniel Bryan match.

Everyone needs a big gimmick every once in a while to stay fresh. Batista beat HHH clean to take the belt, at the time that was good enough to win over the fans as a face.

That's enticing to me, but I don't see HHH letting his good friend fall off the main event for lack of significant popularity. For now the story goes that fans of Daniel Bryan WANT to see him stick it to an arrogant jerk like Batista, if you take Batista out of the main event then you deprive them of that occurrence. I realize that fans of Daniel Bryan, myself concluded, are content to see him in the main event under any circumstances. I'm just saying that Batista in the main event works if they're willing to make it a means of validating Daniel Bryan's potential main event status.

Whoa whoa whoa! Let's not go putting Taker in a 30 man battle royal after having to work with an unprofessional dick like Brock Lesnar. Jesus Christ dude, beating Brock is good enough. They've already put their faith in the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy, they're not going to over-shadow it by putting the winner in the main event.

WWE could really have the chance to make the 30 man Andre the Giant battle royal one of the most exciting matches in the history of Wrestlemania, just depending on the guys they wanted in the match and playing double duty or even triple duty.

It's filler so the mid and lower cards can be a part of the history, it's not going to be part of a larger investment on a performer's potential. It'll be fun to watch a confusing mess of 30 men struggle to work their spots, I don't expect the winner to get a push for their accomplishment.

Look, I want Daniel Bryan in the main event, you want Daniel Bryan in the main event. We're getting what we want and it would be selfish to ask "Is that all you got for me?". Putting Daniel Bryan in the main event was like the people at BioWare over-writing their ending for Mass Effect 3. The damage is done with Batista being force fed to us, but at least now he'll be working with Daniel Bryan and has already proven to me that he'll be a professional.

Batista the returning hero has been a flop without a doubt, but from the ashes of that debacle has risen the second biggest heel in the company next to the Trips and Steph double act.

WWE are gonna mine the shit out the Bootista stuff and make heckling him a big interactive experience, which in turn makes him good for business as dead air is the worst thing there is in wrestling.

He was never a great worker but he had become solid in his last 3 years IMO, however you can't expect him to come back after 4 years and just perform like he's never been away, that is a rarity that a guy like HBK can do but few others, plus Batista is 45.

Right now he is selling for Bryan when they work and that is the main thing, he just needs to get his wind back as he looks to be struggling in every match after just a few minutes. It shouldn't be a problem at Mania though as a triple threat will allow him to take plenty of rests while Bryan and Orton work the bulk of the match.

He is best for Wrestlemania. He by far is probably the #2 heel behind HHH, #1 heel as far as active wrestlers who wrestle on free TV, too.

His presence in the match up adds a different type of heat in the match. With Randy, it was just X-Pac heat, but with Batista the crowd legitimately hates them and he shows his true feelings back
