Is a Shield Double Turn Possible?

Smart fans want to be surprised. Heck, fans in general want to be surprised. But to those who've been watching for awhile see recycled storylines (which isn't a bad thing if played off well), it is more difficult to surprise. MITB, at least to me, has lost a bit of it's luster as par for the course is to run in after a hard fought match to get the easy win.

Anyways, it seems destined that there will be some tension between Reigns and Ambrose since there's always some sort of 'brotherly' feud. Fans have been anticipating dissension between the two. What if they start teasing some animosity between the two and at the same time, The Authority really start clamping down on Rollins. Eventually, maybe even at Mania, Rollins gets outnumbered and pummeled by The Authority with Ambrose and Reigns finally showing some 'sympathy' and making the save. With the ring cleared, you have the original guys in the ring looking to reform, only to have Reigns and Ambrose outnumbering Rollins and beating the hell out of him even more.

Rollins gets the sympathy of the fans for getting beat up by half a dozen or more guys, and Reigns and Ambrose get heat for beating up a newly turned Rollins. I know I didn't put too much detail in this story, but would it be interesting to you and could it be pulled off? If Reigns stays a face, he'll still get resentment during an eventual main event push and Ambrose had several chances already this year and last versus Rollins.

Ambrose was never looked by WWE at the same level of Rollins and Reigns. Can see him maybe turning but Reigns is looking at good face run because WWE would be ludacriss to turn him now when he harbours good face reaction. Rollins is set to be face in some near future for sure because Authority is gona turn on him but cant see other Shield guys involved into that.

i can't see it....for me if they are going to turn Rollins, i would have him first beat Kane (clearly), then have him move on to Triple H in a one on one title match and have Seth Rollins have a great long match where Seth pins Triple H, have Seth then help Triple H (showing respect) and then have Seth offer him a handshake only to get pedigreed by Triple H and then have him wave for Sheamus to come out and cash in (similar to how Triple H turned heel). that would get Seth some major sympathy and it would get him respect from the fans (to beat a legend one on one with no outside interference). as for Reigns, i turn him heel (have him leave Ambrose in a tag match with the Wyatts) and i build Dean Ambrose up to have him challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania, in fact, i have him win the Royal Rumble while i have Reigns get eliminated by Rollins only to have Reigns come back and screw Rollins and he will have a good reason (even though he's a heel) to cost him the Rumble match.

Ambrose was never looked by WWE at the same level of Rollins and Reigns.

I would like to call BS on this statement for 2 main reasons

1. During the run of the Shield he was the one allowed to go to singles and Rollins was put in the team with Reigns. Reigns due to inexperience, protection and size was a must for a tag team but then WWE made the decision to give Ambrose the singles title therefore showing more faith in him than both Rollins and Reigns

2. A few months later the Shield feuded with Bryan, Kane and Undertaker and on Smackdown Ambrose was the one chosen to have a singles match with Undertaker, something almost no superstar can say since he went part time and something that showed WWE's belief in him.

When they debuted Ambrose was the leader and most likely breakout star, however over time both Rollins and Reigns outshone him and rightfully gained a spot higher than Ambrose at the breakout point. For me since day 1 Ambrose has underwhelmed me, he came in with high expectation and is yet to deliver in my opinion but Reigns and Rollins have created some of the best and most enjoyable matches and moments since the breakaway. While many will disagree as Ambrose has a big fan base, I see very little in him, his crazy style to me doesn't look good, his moveset is one of the worst on the roster and his selling just doesn't look right.

In terms of what should happen with Reigns and Ambrose, I think Ambrose should remain face due to his popularity and to help get fans behind him and put heat on Reigns, I would turn Reigns heel, have him squash Ambrose then go into the world title picture. Coming off this feud I would expect that Ambrose will have a greater support as guys, specifically indy guys who fans think WWE is booking wrong get big cheers so with this boost of popularity I would have him challenge for a midcard title and work his way to a heel turn in about a year, because as the paragraph above suggests I don't think he is anywhere near main event or even upper midcard with what he has shown to date and unless he has massive changes to his character and moveset, I don't want him at that level

At beggining of Shield maybe you could think that, but in time you could see that they have favoured Rollins and Reigns out of tree of them. All tree of them improved over time and Ambrose is still the best on the mic and arguable at one time most over of tree but you could clearly see that WWE favors other two. Rollins was first NXT Champion ever and you could see from the start that he would be good. Reigns is someone with right looks and lineage in bussiness, having someone like that within company to be breakthrough star was kinda WWEs wet dream(hence all those people eliminated at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble for record). Eventhough Ambrose was US Champion you could see clear favorite in Reigns and Rollins as an "up and comer" who had championship after championship(before NXT he was FCW Champion, something Ambrose never was) as he moved up to the ladder. Ambrose has great personality and charisma but lets not be kidding, he was always looked as lesser of tree. In terms of maineventing, Rollins and Reigns are mainevent material. Ambrose is "upper midcard" who sometimes makes to mainevent. I like the guy but that is how WWE viewed them from the start.
