Infractions?

I don't want to stir anything up but I want some honest answers here, do some people think the infractions on here are kind of ridiculous?

Some guy started a ridiculous topic and some other guy left a ridiculous comment in the same topic under the Old School Wrestling section and I replied "what is this a spoof thread or something? " to which I received an infraction. I found it really harsh as my comment was directly to the subject matter and the post above.

It's not the only time I've received what I deem an unfair infraction but shouldn't we be able to either edit our posts (say if we haven't elaborated enough) and or question the infraction?

Actually they do, it's the Warnings that do not. Too many Infractions can lead to a temporary ban.

So then why give them?

To enforce the rules when someone breaks a rule.

Looking back at that thread, I could actually see that being just a warning.

Gelgarin is right though. Infractions really don't mean much, especially if you stop breaking the rules after you get penalized for it.

I think the infraction was harsh and I did say so but it seems my opinion means nothing.

That's because it doesn't mean much. If the infraction was borderline or close then it might mean something but this is pretty cut and dry. Your previous record with infractions doesn't help you either.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I haven't had a major problem with infractions. I've only gotten one major infraction, and I deserved it (trying to derail a non-spam thread).

Also my reboots infractions gave been for stuff like saying agreed WBs saying Higan vs Orndorff was my favourite steel cage match but not saying why. Again I feel like they were harsh, never before have I been on a forum that is as strict as this one.

Rules are different wherever you go. Just because one place says spam is in one way doesn't mean it's like that everywhere.

I think I've only had one infraction and that was for spamming and I don't remember what I even said that was considered spam. I may or may not have gotten a message explaining what it was I did. I don't remember.

I don't think the rules on here are harsh at all. It weeds out people who want to act like morons in the non spam sections and at least drives them to the spam sections where people often go to have fun when they don't want to have real debates on a subject.

Either way nothing is going to change. It sounds like you know good and well why you got an infraction. You've been here since 2009? You should probably be aware of the rules by now. Even if you aren't here every day.

If you can't get to grips with the rules of one forum after over 5 years... then its definitely bullshit on behalf of the fascistic mods who make up stupid rules on a whim then punish only a certain few who will be brave enough to call them out on their fucked up idea to not be like other forums.

Tbh I've not really been posting here for 5 years I joined years ago but have only had times when I've posted.

Anyway I just wanted to give my 2 cents on what I still feel was harsh, I just think we should be able to argue our case if we feel we have one.

Based on the case presented, I recommend PMing Live Yaz and asking him to take this to the Nick Paglino of Wrestlezone.com. He has the highest order of authority in the Wrestlezone family of websites and Live Yaz is kind of his right hand with the forum.

You can argue your case, but I explained it in my PM to you why you broke the rule. An admin has also agreed with the infraction. Sorry dude you broke the rules. If it's any consolation if you are ever unsure if something is within the rules or not, my inbox is always open for questions.
