Impact Support Club House

First of all I love this tourney idea to get TNA through the rest of the DestAm deal, and it should probably end up producing the best week-to-week product that the company has presented since joining the Network.

I also love that they decided to copy the EXACT World Cup format for the tourney, it will make it eternally easy to understand and follow.

Now...

I have managed to reconstruct the entire tournament based on matches that were taped.

The other four blocks look like this(I made up the block theme names, but the contestants are 100% correct):

Group X-Division- Tigre Uno, DJ Z, Manik, Mandrews
Group Originals- Storm, Roode, EY, Abyss
Group Rising Stars- Drake, Micah, Jesse, Crimson
Group Tag Specialists- Matt Hardy, Robbie, Davey, Eddie

And the round of 16 on most likely looks like this based on matches that were taped:
Elimination Round 1
Lashley over Drew
Shera over Drake

EC3 over DJ Z
Davey over Bram

Hardy over Roode
Jesse over Kong

Tigre over Gail
EY over King

Round 2
Lashley over Shera
EC3 over Davey

Hardy over Jesse
EY over Tigre

Semis
Lashley over EC3(by countout, maintaining Carter's pinless streak)

Hardy over EY

And the winner:
The Destroyer Lashley over Matt Hardy

According to Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com, despite working last night’s WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University, James Storm has yet to sign a full-time contract with WWE.

Additionally, the report notes TNA wants Storm to re-sign with the company, and last week made him a sizable money offer which remains on the table.

WWE offered Storm a ticket to visit backstage at NXT Takeover Respect to further discuss Storm working with WWE and NXT. WWE reportedly wants Storm to sign a deal similar to that of Samoa Joe, but as of last night, Storm has yet to sign full-time with the company.

TNA reportedly reached out to Storm yesterday morning, when news broke that he was backstage at Full Sail for the NXT tapings, and made him an even bigger money offer, but apparently Storm is still weighing out his options.

If I'm Storm, I'd take my chances in WWE. TNA has made it pretty clear that they're not interested in making him a featured star and would rather stick him in the midcard. There's nothing left for Storm to accomplish in TNA save for a long World Title reign, but it's pretty clear that those spots are saved for people like Matt Hardy. Get out while you can.

Trust me, he's money. He's making a killing for AAA right now. If TNA gets him and doesn't...... TNA him, they might actually bounce back.

Good wrestler, I'll give you that, but I've never really seen the appeal. Every time I saw him come out in his one-color tights, and that scarf, all I thought was "Mexican Alex Wright".

Hopefully for your sake, IDR, TNA manages to sign ADR. That way, any night you are having trouble getting Owen to sleep, just sit in front of the TV with him while Alberto is on. Guaranteed to put him out like a light.

And of course, I would benefit too. Because if ADR goes to TNA, it means he isn't returning to WWE. Win win.

Whatever happened to ADR working in ROH?

He was just brought in to put over Lethal. He did that, cleanly which I think a lot of people forget at the 13th Anniversary and was then on his way.

I thought he was a good fit in ROH but he was always going to Lucha. If hes finished in Lucha, which apparently he is and wants to stay in the US, it looks like TNA is his spot. NJPW reportedly won't sign him even though they want to because of their connection with CMLL so bringing in the AAA Champion isn't good for the relationship. So hes got nowhere left to go really.

Gotcha. But I'm not sure if he'd be right for TNA. I wasn't exactly a fan of his in WWE. But I could tolerate him a little more than Punk. He could shine if put in the right spot.

His work in LU is not bad. IF TNA lets him be himself like they've done with EC3 then it could be a good fit for him.

Si! Si! Si!

If not then it will be a sleep session as stated.

No! No! No!

Have the charges been dropped because they couldn't find a judge and jury willing to take on the man, like in the good old days?

So Storm claims he didn't know the matches were for a title series. So either A:

TNA really didn't know what they were doing yet (most likely)

Or B

They didn't think telling the wrestlers that these were going to be important matches mattered and actually think that the level of effort given on One Night Only shows (which is lacking on its best day) is efficient for TV.

Or Storm is pissed off at TNA and only wants to be mentioned in the WWE world.

He did interviews after the match so how could he NOT know what was going on.

So TNA's like the Colts, then? At one time the second best team in the game with a future hall of famer leading them, now a place where everyone is trying to leave and they don't know where 2/3's of their workers are?
