Impact Support Club House

I think if you're laughing AT the heels its ok, right?

Yes, but this is in a different sense. They do funny things. The kind of laugh you do towards a heel's little different. When they do something stupid and embarrass themselves. Spud and EC3 do that, but in a way which makes you think: ":lmao: these guys are funny ass guys man."

He's got a title shot. Magnus, EY and Abyss are in the match. If you were on about the live event stuff, he was apparently injured but the reports also said management wanted to give him a day off.

Nah, I was on about what I saw on Impact. I'll put it in spoilers, just in case. :)

Is he due for a turn? What was that stuff with EY? Surely they won't change the lovable fisherman! I hope Joe stays face for a good while after (if indeed it happens) won the title.

What's the best "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels match? I had always heard that name but never got around to checking him out.

Probably that triple threat match at Unbreakable back in '05 vs Joe and Styles. It was for the X-Division championship, the main event of the show and TNA's only 5 star match awarded by Dave Meltzer.

I don't think so. I think he just got a little frustrated that EY was placed into the match, reducing his chances of winning the championship. He's hot right now and they already have a lot of heels. Besides, after the match he looked at him like "that guy just gave me one heck of a challenge."

You seem to have a lot of nicknames for your pet hates. Any others as good as Mankindof?

Well, that depends on your sense of humor. Not everyone thinks my analogies and nicknames are that funny... or funny at all.

Probably nothing as clever as Mankindof, but lemme think about this and check the rosters. There's gotta be at least another...

That makes sense, but this reninds me of Gunner & whoever vs Beer Money from a few weeks ago and we know how that turned out for Storm.

I don't want to ironically like Joe and (especially) EY. I like genuinely them as they are.

Oh, how could have I have forgotten? Lai'D Tapa — Awful Kong.

Soooooo glad she's gone. There's nobody in TNA that I genuinely don't like, except maybe Jesse Godderz (sp?) and he's improved.

And Eddie Edwards... Great double-team moves, but wipe that fucking smile off your face!!!

Unless he's a stroke-victim like Bret, then I'm going to turn all sorts of crimson hues... :o But seriously, what's going on there?

The Wolves are overrated. Same routine in every match, Davey can't sell and they're the kind of guys that think those kind of moves make a good wrestler.

Am I the only one that sees potential in Godderz? He's actually pretty good.

I like Jesse quite a bit.

I also really enjoy the Wolves. I think you guys are focusing too much on the exactitudes of their matches and not the general pulse of them. They're over. That's what matters.

Wouldn't be internet wrestling if we didn't over-analize. I like the double-team moves, but I'm a mark for spots.

Of course people will pop for those kind of moves, only when they're in attendance though. They don't seem like they'll interest me in 1 on 1 feuds or main event matches. Generally, people prefer and pop louder for those matches focused on story, not the moves. They're fun and good to see here and there, but not the amounts they do it. Did you watch Davey vs Roode when they were at London? Skip to 4:14 (video below), Bobby had to tell him to do the move by patting him on the back several times. It would (did anyway) look stupid if you were holding a guy's leg and don't expect them to break out of it.

Consequences Creed I called Consequences Cena, because they pushed him to the moon. Not nearly as funny. More of a tiny jab.

I'm not a fan of Godderz, mainly due to his gimmick. And this was before and after hooking up with Robbie E. Just a snooze fest for me. The Wolves are straight with me, though they weren't my favorite team while they were in ROH. I'd still like to see an All Night Express reunion, but it probably isn't meant to be.

This criticism is ridiculously played out. Yes Davey no-sold a lot on the indy circuit(especially in ROH matches) but it reflected the character he was portraying and the style of matches that he was working. He was one of a lot of guys popping up out of headdrops, standing up to superkicks, or momentarily forgetting to favor worked over body parts; that's a culture issue, not a Davey issue.

And ever since he went to TNA its been the exact opposite, with the exception of the BroMans comical over-the-top selling, Davey has probably been selling harder than any guy on the roster. He also did an awesome job of selling the arm injury during Lethal Lockdown.

If someone's only familiarity with Richards was TNA they'd have no clue what you're talking about, because in TNA he has adapted instantly and been nothing if not strong and consistent in selling his opponents offense.

I have no idea who Leo Kruger is, but his gimmick looks like Kraven The Hunter from Spider-man.

Yeah, he was a big game hunter/merc type and it was pretty cool. Unfortunately that gig was recently scrapped. He's now a sort of party/godfather/Axel Rose guy, but he's pulling it off quite well.

I know you're not big on WWE, but NXT is a whole other barrel of fish in a lot of ways.

"Not big on WWE" is an understatement. I haven't touched it, or any of it's byproducts in years.

Buddy of mine still watches and was talking to me about a bunch of guys on the roster the other day, and when he got through it, I looked at him dead in the face and said flat out — "No bullshit — I have no idea who a single guy is you just said."

I have no idea what he was up to in ROH. At Lockdown, the selling was OK but because there were several in the match, it was a bit easy for him. I though he did a terrible job when he faced Roode and ruined part of the match in the video I had put on and marked. I think it was the same match where he was Irish-wipped into a turnbuckle and instead of turning around normally before hitting it, he jumped and twisted round instead. It looked so stupid. Sure, he reacts when getting hit but it doesn't look real enough. He sells it but I'm never sold on it. Eddie seems OK but I'd like to see him in 1 on 1 action.

What was Davey's character over in ROH anyway?
