Impact Support Club House

All I've ever seen is September mentioned time and time again and then there was further rumours that if cancellation was to take place, the last two or three episodes would just be recap shows.

Would I get the usual "TNA mark, head in the sand" shots for thinking this is possibly a positive sign?

If they had any sense of foresight, they'd look at how Progress Wrestling gets it done with their own network and start shilling that before going off air. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a mark.

@The305MVP: Don't do that. Still lots of good talent working there. @jenmisstx:I seriously deleted TNA off my dvr after I found out @The305MVP was gone.

@The305MVP: Please don't take out your hostility towards TNA management on the talent. They work ridiculously hard for YOUR entertainment. And their $$$

Gotta respect him.

Indeed. The talent is just stuck in a horrible loop and will unfortunately get way too much of the blame when TNA goes under.

According to PWInsider.com, Bully Ray is already gone from TNA Wrestling, just one week after making his return to television as the brand new on-screen authority figure. The company spent a lot of time building up the Hall of Famer’s return, with Dixie Carter herself making an appearance to name him the new authority of Impact Wrestling.

Bully was not backstage at any of this week’s TNA television tapings in Orlando, despite living in the area. His absence was noted within the locker room, and rumors started making rounds that he had left the promotion. Like many others at this point – including Austin Aries and James Storm, who did in fact work this week’s tapings – Bully was on a per-appearance deal with TNA, giving him the ability to back out whenever he wanted to.

Jesus Christ, TNA...

A source reportedly told PWInsider.com that Bully Ray couldn’t have quit the company, since he was never under contract with TNA in a longterm capacity. Ray had been working with TNA on a per-appearance basis, and the idea of him being an authority figure on TV was not a longterm idea. The source noted the angle had been “shot and wrapped”, so his story line had finished.

...wait, what? So they shot one episodes worth of backstage stuff with him only to never show him on TV again?

So let's recap for a second.

Dixie comes out with the entire roster around the ring for a major introduction of a guy who is going to be gone in a few weeks.

Total weeks on TV so far:

Dixie - 3
Bully - 1

But yeah, it's totally not about Dixie.

It is always about Dixie. I want TNA from 2006 to 2008 back. Best wrestling on the planet during those years.

It actually wasn't always about her. She used to sit ringside for every show and personally walk around the crowd thanking everyone for attending live events. I've been to many she did these things at. It wasn't until well into their time on Spike when they made her a television character that things changed.

I know jjyanks met her and said she was one of the sweetest, nicest women he's ever met. I can easily see that, but I don't want her on my screen. She just isn't a good character.

I met her twice. I'd echo the same. She spoke with my buddy Mark and I at a show at Webster Hall way back in '07, I think, for a solid five, six minutes. In a crowd full of people. Just shooting the breeze, asking us what we thought of the product, etc.

I know she is nice but like KB said, keep her off my screen.

So since this Hogan debacle is currently taking place, would anyone welcome Hogan back to TNA TV? It could be a raitings boost to have The American Icon on Destanation America.

Thoughts?

Edit: I do not know Hogans nickname...

Nah, he's PR poison at the moment.

He's also largely blamed for the downfall of the company. True or not, perception is reality, so Hogan is a guy who should probably never appear on TNA television again.

I agree with you Pres. TNA has pulled him from their site as well. He is all but fucked. So pathetic how words can hurt as much as a kick to the nuts.

From a PR perspective, I completely get it. I work in sports. I know first hand just how much it matters (from a marketing perspective).

Even though I disagree, fundamentally, with the entire concept of "bad words".
