In-lieu of Bob Ryder openly stating that he wanted to sign away Roderick Strong from ROH, ROH just announced on their website that they've re-signed Roddy, to what sort of deal I don't know but hes under ROH contract again for the first time in over a year.

In other news, Jon Gaburick is delighted to announce the signing of Bram to a multi-year deal with TNA.

That report is old. I posted it in the TNA section weeks ago, well before the add-on stuff about Lethal and Strong being backstage at TNA was added.

"He also noted ROH’s Roderick Strong and ROH World Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal were allegedly backstage at a recent TNA event. Both are former TNA talent but there is no indication they are set to return."

That doesn't indicate that either were targets. It's being inferred that they *might* be.

The way Ryder said it, especially in the way they would have to get "aggressive" insinuated that they were bitter about ROH not wanting to work with them so they would sign some of their unsigned talent, before then saying how Roderick was unsigned and Lethal's deal was coming up, so that to me at least is him blatantly teasing that he would want to sign Roderick Strong.

Either way, it's irrelevant, because Strong's new ROH deal is actually being reported to be an exclusive one so he's locked down to ROH for the foreseeable future.

Roderick Strong has re-signed with Ring of Honor, the company announced Tuesday.

PWTorch has learned that Strong's deal is an exclusive deal with ROH, similar to deals with current ROH World & TV champion Jay Lethal and The Briscoes.

Strong has the ability to work out individual bookings with the ROH office, such as PWG, where he is currently PWG champion, but he is unlikely to work for a promotion like WWNLive (EVOLVE/DGUSA) while under contract to ROH.

Earlier this year, Strong wrestled for ROH and WWNLive on the same weekend, but that is off the table.

In Tuesday's announcement, ROH touted Strong as exemplifying Ring of Honor’s pride for having the best wrestling on the planet."

Strong wrestled Jay Lethal to a 60-minute draw on last weekend's "Death Before Dishonor" Internet PPV. Their re-match is August 21 in Philadelphia.

Strong then faces IWGP World Hvt. champion Kazuchika Okada on August 22 in Brooklyn, N.Y. in a ROH vs. New Japan star clash.

Strong, who is having one of the best runs of his career entering his 13th year wrestling for ROH, said in the press release: "I’ve set the bar really high for myself and anyone who comes after me. I’ve got unfinished business in Ring of Honor and winning that ROH World Championship for a second time is of the utmost importance!”

Except that Lethal and Strong were never mentioned in the original report. That's why I said when I posted it that that was added after the fact. It's being inferred that those two talents specifically were potentially who he was talking about.

He's excellent. The sad part is after working his ass off to constantly get better and always having good matches, he just didn't break through all the midcard guys like Cole, Elgin, O'Reilly or Lethal to get to the top of ROH, but he still had a ton of good matches.

That second promo is better when edited down but I remember ROH had to remove it shortly before Best in the World 2013 because of some copyright infringement, what I don't know, but that's the full unedited one. He kind of rambles a bit.
