I only read into this thread far enough to see you never met her yet, not a page further, and I need to voice my opinion as someone that used to be a good friend with you on the forums.

I know people that have done this. You hear about it all the time, you see it in movies, but until you experience it first hand, it's hard to know what's going on. I had a co-worker move across Canada to meet a girl, only to find out the girl had been sending pics of her friend all along. When the two girls were on webcam with him, he assumed she was the hot one. She wasn't, but she let him think otherwise.

I'm not saying the engagement itself is stupid, but you gotta know a person before making any connection to them. I've done online dating, some girls are the same online as offline, others are far from it.

Trust me when I say this, you definatly want to meet this girl AT LEAST one year before making any legal decisions regarding your future with her. Move in together, have all the sex, have the fights and everything inbetween. Just don't do anything to bind you legally till after this point. Trust me.
