If you were in charge of TNA, and could release 5 people, and sign 5 people from WWE who would they be?

Release:
1. Jessie Neil
2. Kip James
3. Booker T.
4. Daniels
5. Abyss

Sign from WWE:
1. Carlito
2. Chavo
3. Matt Hardy
4. Kane
5. Vladimer Koslov

I would release those guys, mostly because TNA is not using them properly, or they just suck at the moment.

As for those I would sign, they are not being used by WWE properly...probably never will be either. They would get the attention, and push that they all deserve in TNA.

this is really tough because tna doesn't have the money, exposure, or prestige that wwe does. it would make no sense for these people(besides chavo for obvious reasons.) to leave wwe for tna.

If I was in charge of TNA, I would:

Release: The Main Event Mafia
TNA World Champion, Kurt Angle to Raw
TNA Legends Champion, Kevin Nash to Smackdown
TNA X – Division Champion, Samoa Joe to ECW
TNA Tag Team Champions, Scott Steiner and Booker T to all three WWE shows

If I can have more than 5,
IWGP Tag Team Champions, The British Invasion, Brutus Magnus, Doug Williams (may as well take Rob Terry too) to ECW (Yes, I’m thinking Regal)

Sign: The NEW Main Event Mafia
WWE Champion, Randy Orton
World Champion, CM Punk
ECW Champion, Christian
WWE / World Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho and Big Show

If I can have more than 5,
Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison
United States Champion, Kofi Kingston
Triple H (just to even up the Supplemental Trade for Rob Terry. #@#@#@#@!!)

That would really freshen up the product for all 4 sides.

I think you have good ideas, but i would leave kip and abyss alone. I would trim the roster of all the older guys ie kevin Nash and scott steiner. Give the reins to AJ Styles and let him run with them. Sting and Kurt Angle could be used to put over the Matt Morgans and styles of the world. The main thing would be to trim the roster down, so the shows aren't so compact. They don't need a roster of more than 20 names and that may be to many.

6 main eventers
4 mid carders
4 full time tag teams and you could mix and match after that to keep tag titles scene fresh

lets see TNA Release:
Rhino (hes just awful)
Kip James
Samoa Joe (sorry hes just doesnt do it for me, and hes gotten quite the ego, over the years)
Suicide (the gimmick itself is just dumb)
Jay lethal ( the macho man gimmick ran its course about a minute after it started)

from wwe I'd sign
Chavo Guerrero
Carlito
Shelton Benjamin
William Regal
dolph ziggler

Released:
BG James
Kip James
Cody Deaner
Jesse Neal
Kevin Nash

Signed:
Nobody, I think TNA has enough wrestlers and they don't need anyone else.

(to the guy below me) The military guy is jesse neal

TNA's talent roster is not exactly TNA's biggest problem at the moment, but I'll play along --

I would release the following 5 from TNA --
- Kevin Nash
- Suicide (or at least drop the character)
- Scott Steiner
- That military guy that Rhino is "training" I can't remember his name... does anyone remember his name?
- Jeff Jarrett

Sign from WWE (in a perfect world) and keeping in mind who would fit best on the current TNA roster --
- Carlito
- Zach Ryder
- Charlie Haas
- Rey Mysterio
- Santino Marella

Of course, I would get TNA out of The Impact Zone and try to get Impact! in actual arenas around North America for TV tapings as often as possible. I'd also ditch the 6-sided ring immediately (it was a cute gimmick at first, but, serves no purpose any more other than just being different). It wouldn't hurt to hire new music production people since most of TNA's ring entrance music pretty much all sounds the same and quite formula sounding. I'd cut back on in ring promos because they've been REALLY bad lately and the flat reaction from the crowd is painful to watch. MEM would be more effective if they would just shut the hell up and just wrestle. Instead, they waste 20 minutes of everyone's time with whiny promos -- "Who cares?". Stop copying WWE with back stage scenes of wrestlers trying to act. Borash and Lauren are good backstage interviewers. Let them just interview... and if stuff happens during an interview, so be it. But we don't need to see anyone's office except Cornette's (he's the TNA figurehead, he gets the office... even Foley can't pull it off).

(To the guy above me -- I gotta give props to ya, man! At least YOU remembered Neal's name... one of the few who has! :p )

Release:

Scott Steiner- The Steiner Bros. were awesome.....singles career not so much. I also hate all the stuff you read about his bad attitude.

Kip James- Remember when Billy Gunn had potential? Sigh.

Cody Deaner- I don't really feel that I have to justify or quip about this. See that; that was anti-quip quip.

Rhaka Khan-whether Kurt is telling the truth or not, she sucks. Adios.

Jesse Neal- Don't care about you. Beat it.

Sign: I could easily pick the top tier stars but I'm going to pick guys who would fit, benefit from a change of scenery and improve the product.

R-Truth- He should never have left. He actually kind of mattered at TNA once upon a time. Today he's just the black guy whose not Shelton or MVP. Kinda sad because he's got talent.

Chavo- If they book him using his legacy to get him some straigh up credibility I'm all for this. Chavo has always been in Eddie's shadow, now he's dead and he still can't get out of it. The answer to this is for him to embrace it more than ever. Let him be Eddie (if thats possible). Make him credible, smart, funny and let him win matches.

Kane- being the 2nd rate Undertaker won't take you far in the WWE. TNA is perhaps the last chance for relevance and reinvention for Kane.

Shelton Benjamin- I'd hate to lose him but he kinda just treads water in the WWE. Maybe he becomes a major player in florida.

William Regal- Another one that I'd hate to lose but he is soooo much better than he ever gets to show. Now theres a leader for world elite. Put Regal at the forefront and its no longer a mishmosh of weak cruisers and foreign no names. It would make it a real faction. Also this is a guy that should have a real feud with Kurt Angle. Just step aside and let them go at it.

for the people that said they will release jesse neal, trust me when i say this guy is a beast, they are slowing building him up, but his backstory is 99% legit, the navy, the attack, his friend, everything, he is also the only graduate of team 3d's wrestling school, hes a powerhouse like lesnar, and he kinda reminds me of zangief from street fighter, i see hime gueding with rhino and be ing put over big time in the next year, just look at his american hero gimmick he wrestles with, and in the next pic he kinda looks like chuck liddel

Release
-Rob Terry
-Cody Deaner
-Sojo Bolt
-Shark boy
-Rhaka Khan

Sign
-John Cena
-HBK
-Edge
-Jack Swagger
-Jim Ross

Some of you guys might disagree with my choices but i think with Cena they could really draw a lot of fans, he's a megastar, and him and joe are like best friends, a fued would be gold, also TNA wont be afraid to turn him heel, it could be as big as when hogan turned heel, if booked right of coarse, HBK can have classic matches with AJ, Sting, Lethal, Lashley, Kurt (again) Nash (YES EVEN NASH!), Edge can have many intresting fueds as well, and hes great all around, Swagger, theres something i love about swagger, and him and great can do great things, ringwise, and storyline, maybe a mentor role, and with all these new stars and huge roster, maybe a second weekly show with jim ross commentating with don west

Releasing only 5 from TNA just simply isn't enough so here's who I'd get rid of.

Cody Deaner
Rhino
Jesse Neal, or however his name is spelled
Kevin Nash
Scott Steiner
Suicide
Kyoshi
Stevie Richards
Jethro Haliday
Rob Terry
Shark Boy

Most of these guys are just complete wastes of space.

As to who I'd sign from the WWE if I could.

CM Punk
John Morrison
Kofi Kingston
John Cena
The Undertaker
Dolph Ziggler
Jack Swagger
Randy Orton
Rey Mysterio

Once again, 5 isn't enough and I can probably name some more but I'm probably already a little too off topic.

5 AINT ENOUGH AND I WOULD TAKE AWAY

ODB
KIP JAMES
DR. STEVIE
ERIC YOUNG
JAY LETHEL
BOB TERRY
CODY

AND ADD

THE UNDERTAKER
TRIPLE H
HKK
EDGE
CM PUNK
JEFF HARDY (WHEN HE RETURNS)
RANDY ORTON
CHRISTION
MATT HARDY
CHRIS JERICO
RVD IF HE RETURNS

I would get rid of from TNA-

jesse neal
CODY DEANER(I LOATHE THAT GUY!)
Rhaka Khan
SOJO Bolt
Shark Boy
Kip James
BG James
Suicide
Jeff Jarrett, yes Jeff Jarrett, atleast on screen

I would Bring in to TNA from WWE

Evan Bourne- this guy is simply amazing, would be great in the x division..could have a great fued with aj styles
Randy Orton
Mickie James
The Big Show
Chris Jericho
John Morrison
Zack Ryder-WOO WOO WOO, YOU KNOW IT!
Vladimir Kozlov
Ted Dibiase JR
Beth Pheonix
Maryse
Dolph Ziggler- I like Nic "The Natural" Nemeth MUCH better

I would bring in to TNA from wherever they are

Bryan Danielson-ROH
Lacey Von Erich-WRESTLICIOUS
Teddy Hart- NOT SURE
RVD- not currently wrestling
JACK EVANS- Not sure
Kenny Dykstra
Mr. Anderson- Should be in TNA very soon
Umaga

If I could release 5 guys... omg I would probably release 10 guys from TNA... maybe some of them are no longer involved so forgive me if they are gone already:

Steiner
Booker
Nash
Kip
Brian James or whatever his gimmick is now
Sharmell
Dr Stevie
Jethro Holliday (id repackage him better)
Bashir
Cody Deaner
Jarrett

All these guys do nothing for me and represent WWE rejects or guys with poor gimmicks. They probably are paid more than non WWE previous talent. I think they need to focus on building stars with genuine talent and slowly pick up young talent who have great upsides (Morgan comes to mind) and other OVW rejects.

I know some will say why should TNA take OVW rejects who werent even good enough for WWE over WWE rejects but the thing is most of them are young and with a good gimmick can get over. I rememebr Kurt Angle being called the next Pug Porteau (amateur wrestler gimmick with no charisma) and look how he developed. Any of the talent listed about that was in WCW gives me an even sourer taste as thats the epitomy to me of a wrestling reject since WCW was for the most part a failing promotion.

Any young WWE talent that gets released Id sign:

Carlito
Shelton
are two ppl who have been buried due to their lack of passion in the ring so Id sign them. Of course they will be WWE rejects if their skills can't be showcased in a TNA promotion.

I would bring in to TNA from wherever they are

Bryan Danielson-ROH
Teddy Hart- NOT SURE

Bryan Danielson signed with WWE last week
Teddy Hart is like blacklisted from any major promotion.

Release:
1. Scott Steiner. Well past it. It's like watching an old dog get out of it's bed everytime he moves. I've never been a huge fan of him apart from in the Steiner Bros' in the late 80's/early 90's.
2. Cody Deaner. What's the point? He'll never go anywhere.
3. Vince Russo. His ideas are utter shite, he makes for awful telly.
4. Kyoshi. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm pretty sure he's a load of bollocks!
5. Jay Lethal's Macho Man gimmick. I would Rather bob for razor-blades in a deep fat frier than watch any more of this shit. It was funny at 1st, but then that episode of Impact finished. It just saddens me to see someone so unbelievably talented (See roh pure title matches & his early TNA stuff esp' his win over Angle) bogged down with a gimmick so fucking piss poor that Duke "The Dumpster" Droese wonders why he ever got released!

Hire:
1. Kofi Kingston.
2. Evan Bourne.
3. Shelton Benjamin.
4. Paul Burchill.
5. CM Punk.

Quite simply, these 5 men could revive the X Division. We've all seen Evan Bourne (Matt Sydal!!!) & CM Punk can do in roh & there just held down in WWE, there's no place for high flyers in WWE & Punks technical style could create a fantastic mix in styles should the match require it. Shelton & Kofi for a long time now are two guy's who I've always thought, "There going at about 50% of their full ability" They can do so much more & I know alot of people who'd love to see them be allowed to go full pelt & show what they can do & what they were'nt allowed to do in WWE. Finally, Burchill. People will be shocked at this, but Burchill should do whatever it takes to get outta WWE & into TNA, the guy can do things that a man half his weight couldn't dream of & would look awesome against someone like Joe or Hernandez. He has unbelievable power too, just look at him in FWA if you don't believe me!

Release From TNA: BG James, Kim James, Cody Deaner, Rhaka Kahn and Rob Terry
Sign From WWE: Kane (Obviously change his name), Shelton Benjamin, Rey Mysterio, Carlito and Primo Colon.

Kane because he is stale in WWE and needs a change of destination. Shelton as well, but is more talented. Rey as well, and he has issues with management and Carlito and Primo could flourish in both the X-Division and Tag Division.

i will release:
sojo= because she is jobbing now and i dont know if shes heel or face

Cody Deaner = AKA The Redneck santino

SharkBoy = I will release him because they are using him to mock steve austin.

Hector Guerrero = Because I want him in the WWE to manage Chavo so he can have a decent storyline.

Sign form WWE:

FUNAKI = he will be perfect for the X division

Curt Hawkins = he is never on TV and he is still on the roster

Jimmy wang Yang + same for both funaki & hawkins

Just a side note, I'm seeing a lot of "big names" being suggested to pluck from the WWE... and most of them just wouldn't make sense in some ways.

Take The Undertaker for instance -- he's pretty beaten up and his in ring abilities have been somewhat limited due to a number of injuries. Plus, he's not exactly in his youthful prime anymore. I'm not trying to slag the man, but, that's the deal. The Undertaker gimmick is perfect for Calloway mainly because he doesn't have to sell "everything" and more importantly, his legendary status demands respect in the ring which compliments his gimmick so he doesn't NEED to do insane moves anymore. He wouldn't be able to take the Undertaker gimmick to TNA thanks to copyright and TNA has failed miserably in the past to duplicate but not steal gimmicks from the WWE in the past. Black Rayne (aka Goldust) is an example. Calloway in TNA wouldn't exactly be a good fit at this stage in his career.

In many ways, the same points could be said about Triple H (age, injuries and legendary gimmick status). Plus the fact he'll be running WWE once Vince-In-Law moves on pretty much eliminates that possibilty. (but that was a given)

HBK, again, a little up there in age, but, he'll retire before going to TNA.

Orton, Edge, CM Punk, Jericho, The Big Show or the Hardy's jumping to TNA, at THIS point, would only be a step backwards for them. I can't see them jumping on TNA contracts that very easily unless a lot of money was offered.

But I do think Kane jumping to TNA would be a great idea... imagine him getting a newer gimmick and involved in an angle with Abyss?

I was thinking about adding Deaner and ODB to the release list, but, their camera time has been quite limited and not that offensive to me (for now). But, I wouldn't be sad to see them go.

Jay Lethal and Shark Boy provide some comic relief, again, small doses are fine... but if cut, no big loss.

I love the Burchill to TNA suggestion. He's being lost in WWE... but, find something big for his "sister" Katie Lea in TNA or WWE... she is off the hook hot!

And why is the heel version of Booker T still on TV anywhere?!? He's so DONE.

My Five Cuts:

Rhino
Nash
Steiner
Eric Young
Rob Terry
Shark Boy (Dishonorable Mention)

Nash could be used in some capacity but I don't want to see him in the ring. Steiner could be useful if he remains in the tag division with booker and are used as a solid team who put over the younger teams. Rhino I just to buy into anymore as a credible threat for any title and Young just has always rubbed me the wrong way for some reason. Terry just seems useless and I kind of thought that the enforcer roll could've gone to McGuinness but that's not going to happen.

My Five Additions:

Dolph Ziggler
Jack Swagger
John Morrison
Evan Bourne
The Miz
MVP (Honorable Mention)

I would not add established names simply because that just doesn't seem to work. TNA has done so in the past and I feel it would hypocritical of me to add a more established star from the WWE. Morrison is getting there but he's still not a branded attraction of the WWE.

I would get rid of...
Cody deaner
scott stiener...i have never liked him and he is in so much pain he cant really wrestle anymore
sharmel
tracy
so cal val... if you cant wrestle you shouldnt have a job as an on screen performer

I would want the following to come to tna
Evan Bourne
John Morrison
Kofi kingston
Kane
Golddust
because wwe doesnt know how to write for these guys

in tna i would get rid of
kurt angle ... styles can do anything he can plus he's one of the best wrestlers today.
rhino.... not done anything interesting since the cristian cage fued
scot steiner.... soory but the bloke is past it, and only good in tag matches at best
jethro holiday.... never rated him

i wouldnt hire anyone one else tna has the talent to go for it all the way, make x division more of a focal point again and the knockouts. tags shelley and sabin along with 3d and beer money inc and world elite are all good. and aj styles make him the champ with a good six month run, give him a more relaxed character in interviews and have sum fun and then the serious wrestler when it matters, the man can carry most through a match no problem the next shawn micheals as in pound for pound one of the best,

I'd get rid of the MEM and this sums up what else:

I'd also ditch the 6-sided ring immediately (it was a cute gimmick at first, but, serves no purpose any more other than just being different).

first off, lets start with some aspects of TNA that need to change.....

-Naming/Name changes of wrestlers: What does TNA (and for WWE for that matter) think, that wrestlers that came from WWE never existed before? Elijah Burke is "The Pope DeAngelo Dinero"!? Trevor Murdoch is "Jethro Holiday"!? Christopher Daniels is now just "Daniels"!? Victoria is now "Tara"!? Why cant they just have names that we can associate with, but understand they are a new "person". Maybe Elijah Dinero or Trevor Holiday? Or even Tara Varon lol

-Samoa Joe/Main Event Mafia: If Samoa Joe is in the Main Event Mafia, why does he still dress like he is in a 80's music video? He should dress the part, ala Batista, Orton, and Triple when joined with Flair in Evolution. And get rid of the face paint. For now...

-Matches: Even tho TNA has some awesome and original gimmick matches, why dont they hype up the match the way WWE does with Hell In A Cell and The Elimination Chamber? They need to have a HUGE type atmosphere feel with Ultimate X and King of the Mountain and Six Sides of Steel

-Announcing: Can Tenay get any worse at calling matches/promo's/announcments/suprises. You can tell by his un-enthusiasms with these types of things that he knows whats gonna happen. We all know whats gonna happen, but if ur announcing dont make it obvious. Im not sayin quote Michael Cole with "WAIT A MINUTE!" or Jim Ross with "GOOD GOD, ITS (any wrestler)..". Just get a little hyped about it.

-Take the show on the road: I dont know if they are making enough money to but im tired of seeing the same tired arena week in and week out. I wanna see different ramps and arenas and backstage areas and hell even different fans!

Thats all for this post, now lets talk roster changes.....

Roster Changes/Releases.....

Releases
-Shark Boy: Cool/funny gimmick but serves no purpose other than enhancement talent
-Cody Deaner: No place unless a tag team is formed with Jethro Holiday
-Jethro Holiday: See Cody Deaner
-Jay Lethal: Ran its course, make room for new X-divisioners
-Eric Young: Sad to say but he is worthless. A ho-hum canadian
-Awesome Kong: Really nothing more than a sideshow attraction. No disrespect but think about it

Additions (id like to have if i was in charge)
-Carlito and Primo Colon: Excellent wrestlers, and need a place to showcase their skills together as a team
-Charlie Haas: Same as above
-Jimmy Wang Yang: An addition to the X Division and adds international flair
-Shelton Benjamin: Hands down the number one person id like to see in TNA.
-Eve Torres and Rosa Mendes: Need some new Latinas in TNA. Maybe to manage/assist Hernandez and add to the Knockouts Division

Last.... The Main Event Mafia/Frontline...

Here is what should happen. Id like to see a resurgence of the Main Event Mafia vs TNA Frontline storyline. Here is what i think would be cool.

-The MEM would consist of more than just the members that are in it now. In addition to Angle, Steiner, Nash and Booker, I would re-add Sting, add Bobby Lashley, Mick Foley, Kip James, and Team 3D. These guys are all main eventers, yes, even Kip James. Team 3D should be in it as well becuz of their status as a great tag team. Sting could be brought back in and Mick Foley could finally realize his status and stop being so humble. Traci Brooks and Tara would also be cool additions to the female side along with Sharmell. Maybe even try to get Midajia lol.

-The Frontline would consist of pretty much every other member of the TNA roster, headed by AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels. Also you could have Abyss, LAX, James Storm, Robert Roode, XDivision stars and backed by Jeff Jarrett.

It would be cool to have an NWO/WCW type atmosphere with the MEM attacking everyone backstage and even while matches are going on in the ring. Id also like to see Matt Morgan hired as a gun by some unknown financial backer that would offer services to The Frontline and MEM, almost the way Goldberg was a tweener back at his height.

My five would have to be:

Cody Deaner :)wtf:)
Shark Boy :)rolleyes:)
Dr. Stevie :)confused:)
ODB :)disappointed:)
Amazing Red/Eric Young (clean out the X division)

Get:

Kofi Kingston (Face)
Evan Bourne (Face)
John Morrison (Heel)
Kane (Heel)
John Cena (Heel)
