If you could watch a former wrestler wrestle one last time, who would it be?

Have to go with Bret Hart. He was IMO the best wrestler ever! Who would i want his last match to be with? Mr. Perfect no doubt. They had awesome matches together and i miss both of them very much. Also Chris Benoit.. IMO he was one of the best ever and definitly the best from 1998-2007.

I would love to see Brian Pilman vs. Owen hart.
They could cut promos before teh match and that alone would be phenoenal.
This match would be a classic if done right, both could be technical guys when needed and both could do those high spot moves.
It would be fast paced at the right times and slowed down at the right times.
Have a classy ahndshake at the end of an amazing match and get to say goodbye to two of the greats.

Chris benoit vs Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle in a triple threat match!

all extremely gifted, technical and all have the potential of putting on the best match of all time!

I would just want to see Austin in a match again without having to be a guest referee, a repeat of Austin v. Rock would also be good viewing...extrmely good viewing

Owen Hart. All of the possible titles and fueds he could have now is amazing. He could fued with Orton, HBK, HHH, The Undertaker, Kane, Edge. Assuming by now he would be main-event which I would almost bet money on.

Hayabusa. Without a doubt.

He is one of the best, if not THE BEST international star. Not in name over here in the states, but as in innovation, attire, charisma, ring awarness and even his promos.

Many have picked their opponents and I would oddly enough pick Bryan Danielson as his opponent. I watched him against Jushin and was amazed, So he'd be Hayabusa's come back opponent.

If I could see any wrestler wrestle one more match it would have to be Mr. Perfect. That guy was so damn perfect. Amazing entrance music, could have on a fantastic match with anyone. He played such a great heel. I hated him and Ric Flair so much when they were together.

agree in every aspect. He was perfect, it was crazy how fitting the gimmick was. He was one of the first heels I liked, which led to me liking almost every heel stepping into a wrestling ring now (not sure how it got to that point).

I remember Mr Perfect and Bret Hart at Summerslam, one of my favorite matches.

I remember when he went to WCW and went just as Curt Henning. He was still Mr Perfect to me. My favorite match of his from WCW was against Flair at World War 3 in 1997 for the US title.

Think we could end up with one hell of a gauntlet match bearing in mind some of the names thrown up here.

In fact thinking of the gauntlet match how about we throw the following (at their peaks!) into such a match- Dynamite Kid, Mr Perfect, Jake 'the snake' Roberts, 'The British Bulldog' Davey Boy Smith, Mike Awesome, Tazz, Owen Hart, Chris Benoit, Terry 'Bamm Bamm' Gordy, Ravishing Rick Rude, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, Arn Anderson, Cactus Jack and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.

Complete random draw to determine entry numbers to the match, no time limit, managers allowed at ringside, no countouts or DQ....jesus; that'd be my idea of ultimate heaven!!! In that bunch of wrestlers you have high flyers, technical specialists, legititmate hardmen, superb tacticians, uber ring presence....in fact to quote Jim Ross; "Good God almighty!"

Any comments to make anybody???

Ok, let me chime in with one nobody else will say...

Marty Jannetty.

I have a lot of friend who say "Vince fired the wrong Rocker." While I don't go THAT far, I feel he did have a lot of untapped talent that his attitude and work ethic got in the way of. His matches with Shawn Michaels were legendary, and he was a tag team specialist like Bobby Eaton was.

While I know some purists may consider him one of the original spot monkeys, I always felt Jannetty's high flying repitoire made sense. It created a sense of "this match could end at any moment" due to the number of risks he'd take. It also gave a ring story of "the smaller guy has to take the high ground to beat his bigger opponent." That's how the Rockers toppled the Twin Towers. Not the real towers - Bossman and Akeem. Hassan and Daivari did the other towers. :)

I could really go for seeing what Jannetty could have truly done in his prime had he not messed it up, only to be Jobber fodder to Ludvig Borga.

Very Hard question i would have 5 top wrestlers
No.1 Bret Hart
No.2 Mike Awesome
No.3 The Rock
No.4 Goldberg
No.5 Tazz

All of them i would love to see back in the ring and all of them i loved thier style and matches

I would want to see Eddie Guerrero vs Bret Hart, imagine that match for a minute, it would be a 7 STAR MATCH...

honorable matchups:
Benoit v Malenko
Hart v Ricky Steamboat
Malenko v Stone Cold

I gotta say this was a hard one for me but two names come to mind when i saw this and to see them square off would be great...it would be a clasic contrast in styles.. The solid technical and submissions of the one and only human suplex machine Taz against the high flying wizardy of Hayabusa..

Bret, Owen, Benoit, Malenko in Four-way elimination match for the classic wrestling match.
Sabu, Cactus Jack, Tazz, Terry Funk in hardcore match

Those would be my ultimate matches of the retired/deceased/not currently with anyone.

For me it would definatly be the hitman bret hart, or maybe owen hart. could you imagine this fatal four way: Angle vs Bret Hart vs Owen Hart vs Chris Benoit. That would be a match for the ages 4 men who are amazing technical wrestlers who could never really have a bad match.

Bret Hart could have never had a bad match? Guess you didnt see any of his work against Yokozuna, Undertaker, Diesel, anyone who wasn't average height and weight infact.

I'm sorry but to be a great technical wrestler you have to know how to execute and when to execute more than 7 moves.

1. Drop a knee from second rope
2. Russian Leg Sweep
3. Suplex
4. Bulldog
5. Sharpshooter
6. Clothesline
7. Dropkick

I can't recall seeing Bret ever do anything else!

For me this one is easy, Davey Boy Smith ' British Bulldog' anyday. He is a huge inspiration for me, being an English wrestler, and even better a English wrestler from Wigan, where i also come from. when I watched him when i was younger, and again when he was around in 1999 (I think) I always loved his matches, i liked his powerful style and all the styles he covered. I would love to see him wrestle Triple H, or HBK, or even just talk on the Mic, because i loved the fact he kept his lovely northern accent. I suppose i will just have to be happy with the next best thing, his son.

How about the triple threat of Shane Douglas, Chris Candito, and Bam Bam Bigelow against the Freebirds of Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy and the other guy (can't remember his name). Could have made for some very very solid matches and the promos would have been incredible.

At the risk of having someone bash me, I would love to see Jake "The Snake" Roberts back in his hayday actually win a title. He is my all time favorite as his in-ring and mic skills surpassed EVERYONE in his time. Some may agree while others won't, but like many have said in the past, if he could have worked out those demons in his life, Jake could have been ALOT more. So sad of a story.

Bret Hart or Rick Rude. Both were great wrestlers whose careers were ended by bad luck or wreckless opponents depending on your viewpoint.

For Dead Wrestlers I pick Chris Benoit cause Unlike wwe and most of the media I won't remember him for what he did to his wife and kid but for the great wrestler he was I would loved to see him wrestle the following people. CM Punk, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Abyss KAZ and Robert Roode.

My Alive pick is Obviously Bret Hart Cause I would love to see him wrestle the same ones i mentioned for Benoit but i also include Kurt Angle.

the one id love to see again would have been the all time best tag team

the road warriors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P mike"hawk" hegstrand they were the most dominant team in the 80's and i also use the team name for my c.b. handle while im out on the road!

road warriors rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me it would be my dream match. Even though this could never happen. It would be a match between Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle vs. Taz vs. Benoit. The pure wrestling that all four of these guys have would be chemistry. All four and there prime. It would be crazy, it would be a mix of everything thats good in pro wrestling.

How about a Battle royal with all 12 Hart Kids. The winner is decided as the best Hart, and will end all the jealousy over who is better. The Girls could pick their husbands during the 90s (Bulldog, Jim, etc).

I would have to go with Chris Benoit. Regardless of everything he was a great wrestler. He never got any of the recognition he deserved as a wrestler with that amount of talent, and I would love to see him have gotten that before he died.

If any match, I would have him against someone like Kennedy, who has the potential to go really far. I think a match with Benoit would also have been good for him. He would have learnt a lot, and I can see Kennedy becoming like Benoit in terms of wrestling skill.

Or It would have been good to see him go against the Undertaker. They'd both been around, for the same amount of time, and even though Undertaker got a bigger push, and is a lot well more known, Benoit had a similar amount of talent to him. I think they could put on an interesting match, as they both have a lot of experience. I can't recall a match between these two before though.

Another wrestler I would like to see just once more, is Mankind. This was my favourite Gimmick of Mick Foley, and he played it so well. He was great at making the audience follow him, and even with the amount of gimmick changes, he still had the ability to make the audience believe in the character he had at that moment.

I would want to see Mike Awesome. The dude was just dope. Mike Awesome versus Samoa Joe. How hard hitting would that be? It would be interesting to see what Droz could've done. Maybe a jobber like Val Venis, maybe more, but the guy never got a chance. Rick Rude was dope too.
