If You Could Create A Stable...

Pre-Show Stalwart
If you could make a stable consisting of any active Superstars on the WWE roster:
1. Who would be in it?
2. How would you book/sell them? What's their story or gimmick?

Tyson Kidd, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, and Drew Mcintyre

They could really create a mid-card mafia.
Sure, they are lower card now. But with the proper build this could be gold.
They are all good in the ring, and learning on the pipe.

The gimmick could be similar to past groups like Nexus. Just go in and win.

My Stable consisting of current talent would be...

Vickie's Stable:
Dolph
Jack Swagger
Drew McIntyre
Mason Ryan
David Otunga

This would be a great stable to build some great heels! You already have Dolph as the potential main eventer to kind of take the lead role. I could easily see him face off against Punk and win with help from the stable. McIntyre and Ryan could win Tag Titles and Swagger could just be there to be there. and i guess Otunga could be the mid card guy that will eventually leave the group as a huge face.

I really had to think about this because a lot of the guys on the roster wouldn't make a great stable. I think the only down fall for this group would be the lacking of Superstar power...and that is why on 1/2/12 you bring in the staple of the stable...

Y2J: Chris Jericho

Now everything i said changes....take out Otunga and put in Jericho. This way you have an already established superstar and you dont have to worry about how to get Dolph over since him eventually beating Jericho would be his over. Swagger again remains there as a presence. Ryan and McIntyre can still get the tag gold!

Alright, I know that a lot of people are going to have a Booker T moment and think "WHAT THA HAELL." But hear me out, this is my list.

- Mason Ryan
- Sheamus
- Tyson Kidd
- Ted Dibiase
- Alex Riley
- Matt Striker

Why would I have these guys? Because it doesn't make sense. The WWE needs to create more home grown superstars that are good. Mason Ryan is, as we all know Batista 2.0. With that being said, he could definitely be the muscle of the group and groom him in the same style as Batista, i.e Evolution. Tyson Kidd would be a viable person to be someone that could fit the roll of X-pac. With the way that I mean that, is he could be very spunky in the ring. While he is not good on the mic, he could still be that person that runs around with tons of energy and keeps the crowd into matches, as well as thinking "What is this kid going to do next?". Ted Dibiase and Alex Riley could actually work as tag team champions, since the division is already struggling as it is, they could walk around with some cockiness and then really start to show their shine and moving them forward together. While I'm not sure how their chemistry would be, they have the build that would definitely be a favorite in my book. Sheamus is a clear cut champion, and you always need a main champion but he is not the brains of the operation. Manager, Matt Striker, who would also not be afraid to fight in matches if he needs to. Allow him to walk down to the ring and do commentary for the guys, and let him be the only person who does interviews. Give these guys more of a cocky attitude, and with Striker and Sheamus as the real mouth pieces of the group, you can't really go wrong. Now, I know other people will read this and call me ******ed, but to make more people relevant, this is one thing that I would do. Sheamus is already a home grown star, and these guys could start flocking towards him, to make a similar path to the main event. Now, what would their stable name be? They wouldn't have one. That's extremely 90's. However, let them have the same theme song when coming out, and they can keep their individual ring theme's as long as it seems relevant to their "stable theme".

Now, flame me because I think outside the box.

1. There are two stables that I would create. First would be a stable containing CM Punk, Bryan Danielson (scrapping his WWE name), Tyler Black (scrapping his FCW name) and Jon Moxley (scrapping his FCW name). Don't know what I would call this stable, because I'm not really that creative when it comes to naming teams (kinda like WWE lately with names like Air Boom and the Dudebusters).

The other stable that I would create would be The Miz, Drew McIntyre, and maybe the team of Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins.

2. I would sell the first stable as a group of guys that are looked down upon by WWE because of their independent background, and that they are sick of being overlooked by guys with a certain look or the right parentage because they were "created" by WWE.

The second stable would be akin to the Horsemen. You have The Miz as the guy that is the main event. You have Drew McIntyre as the young up and comer that is just behind the Miz in the WWE pecking order. Finally, you have Reks and Hawkins as the tag team of the group.

The Entourage:

Leader/Maineventer- Alberto Del Rio
Mid Carder- Hunico
Tag Team- Primo & Epico
Announcer/Agent- Ricardo Rodriquez
Diva-Rosa Mendez

Have Alberto Del Rio return from his current injury and claim that he is done taking crap from anybody and that he doesn't need to get his hands dirty which is why he's hired some new help. Have Hunico come out and be introduced as Del Rio's first stable member. Have Del Rio that if he is going to work for him then he needs to take some notes, such as how to dress, act, etc. For a week or 2, Del Rio and Hunico can tag team together and then during a match with Air Boom, Primo & Epico come out and distract Air Boom causing Del Rio/Hunico to win (non-title). After the match, the 4 of them beat down Air Boom and Del Rio reveals that he hired Primo & Epico earlier that week. So now you have "The Entourage". Rosa Mendez is with Primo/Epico so she also joins the stable. It would be similar to JBL's Cabinet but with better wrestlers.

I know it was sorta done with Legacy, but I'd roll out The Fourtunate (yes i know I spelled it with a FOUR) Sons. Ted and Brett Dibiase, Joe Hennig and led by ADR (Dos Caras Jr). I'd have them follow the similar path ADR has taken. Calling titles their destiny etc and bragging about their money. I think Legacy was a bit rushed and sloppy. Neither Dibiase or Rhodes got a real rub from being near Orton. If you look, both Rhodes and Dibiase had to reboot their styles to get over. Ted hasn't even gotten over yet, so he didn't benefit at all. If done right, all 4 of these guys could get a nice push if they stuck together for a year or two.

I would go with a stable led by The Miz. He obviously gets a lot of mic time and could probably help elevate some younger stars now as he has a fair degree of pedigree. I am certain that Riley needs to come back to align himself with Miz to reinvent himself again when he returns and that would give him and Miz some more heat. From there, Riley could maybe target the U.S Champion Zack Ryder and a new tag team could be added for Miz to mould in the same vein as him and Morrison. Maybe Tyson Kidd and Drew Mcintyre could be corrupted into Miz and Riley's plans too as well as the addition of a monster, like Kharma and maybe also add Eve Torres to add gasoline with Ryder in the U.S title feud. Miz would also need a bigger enforcer character on the stable, maybe Brodus Clay.

There. I'd go with Team Awesome. Captained by the Miz and consisting of Riley, McIntyre, Kidd, Torres, Kharma and Brodus Clay.

To make this stable more powerful I'd have them have a coalition with players like Barrett and Kane as they have the same common goals in dealing with the faces like Punk, Sheamus and Cena

I'd bill Miz as the WWE Champ and have Sheamus or Cena chase...

If this happened after Wrestlemania then I would also have one of McIntyre, Kidd, Brodus win MITB to make the dynamics more interesting. As, if the MITB winner was the lower ranked member of a stable, that would make for interesting segments....

My two pence....

Not really a stable but more a tag team that I created in WWE 12.

The fortunate Sons- Ted Dibiase & Joe Henning (I refuse to call him Michael McGillicutty)

Anyways, lets say on Smackdown, Dibiase and Curt Hawkins are having a match and Tyler Reks decides to interfere. The duo beat down on Dibiase until all of a sudden, Joe Henning runs down and saves the day. The following week, he cuts a promo with Dibiase saying how he's returning to his roots and him and Dibiase both come from a background of amazing talent. He then says Michael mcGuillicutty is no more. It's now Joe Henning. Dibiase then goes on to say that Priceless and Legacy accomplished great things but neither of them will compare to The Fortunate Sons.

**SIGH** Another stable thread. Im bored so Ill bite.

I always liked the idea that was tossed around the boards that WWE was thinking of a Fortunate Sons stable.

LEADER - Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes
VETERAN MENTOR/MANAGER - Dustin Rhodes (not as Goldust)
PLAYERS (any of these)
~Joe Hening (I refuse to call him by his WWE name)
~Husky Harris and Bo Rotundo
~Leakee (son of Sika from the Wild Samoans)
~Richie Steamboat
~Usos
~Tamina

I would do this after the fallout of Nexus. During a 8-man tag match between Husky, Joe, Alex Riley, and Justin Gabriel vs Cody, Ted, Ziggler, and Swagger. After teasing some tension about working with each other, Cody and Ted turn on Ziggler and Sawgger mid match. A shocked Riley, Gabriel, Husky and Joe look on as Husky and Joe turn on Riley and Gabriel. All four men beat down Riley, Gabriel, Ziggler and Sawgger.

Week 2, add Leakee and Richie to the group.

Week 3, you have Joe and Husky do a shoot type promo about how they tried to make a name for themselves and not use their dads names. It didn't work so they realized that they needed to capitalize on their fame. So they gathered the second and 3rd generation stars to make an impact, just like their fathers did.

Not this thread again

"Deh tuk er jobs" - filled with Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and Canadian wrestlers who work on the cheap and 10 times more efficiently than American wrestlers.

"Ninjas" - Danielsan acting like he is an Asian-American street bike racer along with a band of other Asians and maybe another vanilla midget or two

"Bikers" - stereotypical UT American Badass/Harris Bros biker dudes who feud with the "Ninjas".

"High Society" - basically a rehash of the Mean Street Posse or a bunch of complete stoners.

But basically WWE has been running Supershows lately and they should probably be trimming their roster as opposed to adding new guys or stables that have no chance of ever getting on TV.

Possibly a reformation of the Ministry of Darkness?

It would help the Undertaker last a little long and have his followers take his place in a lot of his matches. Although would it work in the current WWE era? I don't know.

Leader - Undertaker, obviously
2nd, Kane, mask and all
Others...
Brodus Clay
Tyler Reks and Mason Ryan as a Monster Tag Team
Kharma
and
Paul Bearer has to be in there too, for old times sake.

I'd have Arn Anderson become a manager. I have him recruit some guys and form a stable. First, he goes and recruits Michael McGillicutty. Gets him to be really aggressive. Says he reminds him of himself. Double M. Then, he recruits Ted Dibiase and tells him he reminds him of Tully Blanchard. Ted Dibiase and Double M start a feud with Air Boom and win the tag titles.

Then Arn starts scouting Alex Riley. Eventually, he joins in in the Barry Windham/Lex Luger 4th spot.

Then he sets his sights on a leader. A mouthpiece. A guy that can lead this stable to glory. I think Dolph Ziggler would be the best fit. However, Cody Rhodes or Miz would be good options.

So,

Dolph
Dibiase
McGillicutty
Riley

I would create a stable loosely based off of Evolution.

Leader = Wade Barrett,

Vetran = William Regal,

Rising Star = Drew Macintyre,

The Muscle = Mayson Ryan

Having these four guys together in a stable would rival some of the best stables in WWE history.IMO. Similar to Evoluton with a U.K. twist. I would call the stable, THE BARRAGE. They would be a heel stable that would be anti- everything, besides the U.K. I would have them in a major feud with a face Sheamus. Sort of like the Nexus and Cena, I would have The Barrage beating down Sheamus every week and trying to get him to join the stable, as a form of punishment. I think this could work out well for all involved. It would be a great last run for Regal. Sheamus and Barrett could have some epic matches. Plus, it would put Drew and Ryan back on the map for at least the mid card division. I would like to see Barrett as WHC. Drew as INC. and Mayson and Regal as the tag team champions. They could even have Layla join and become the Divas champion. A group that could take over Raw or SD. I think SD would work better. they could control the show for a year before they start turning on each other, or they get a new leader in Sheamus who kicks Barrett to the curb. There are a lot of posiblities and angles to further this story line and help it evolve over time. I definetly would not mind seeing this on SD every Friday night. Wouldnt it be great to see regal eventually turn on Barrett for control of the group. regal could have his final match against Barrett as the winner is the leader and the looser is out. Or regal could turn face and leave the group and have one final match against Barrett for the WHC. it could be TITLE vs. CAREER. That would be Awesome.IMO.

I was thinking of a european connection as well that another poster mentioned.

-Sheamus
-Drew Mcintyre
-Wade Barrett
-Santino Marella (tired of being looked at as a joke)
-and maybe a euro sympathizer(?) Jack Swagger leaving the all american-american gimmick cause he doesnt get respected in america (maybe give him some credibility instead of being a guy that gets run over all the time)
William Regal would be the manager

This would be something like the hart foundation in 97...anti american but not so much on hating america just not getting the respect they deserve... i know this has been done already in pretty much all federations but its better than the crap thats going on now. WWE would probably put hornswoggle in the group to f it up though.

Another idea i like was the entourage group that someone else mentioned... but how about a returning rey mysterio turning heel and joining that group... he would probably have to lose the mask again though ( just an idea)

i would acutely make a TNA stable consisting of lesser used wrestlers in TNA it would be Mark Haskins, Anthony Nese, El Zorro, Murphy, and Okada. 1st of all i know most of u are probley thinkin :wtf: and yes ik that okada and murphys profiles were removed from TNAs website a few monthes ago but thier relases were never confirmed and el zorro is signed he just isen't going there yet due 2 his storylines in AAA.Now what they do is they interfere in a main event match for the heavyweight title were a someone like maybe crimson or james storm are about 2 win and they attack everyone then they are presented as a huge force in TNA. Nese and Haskins work as a X division tag team, El zorro is a X divison wrestler, Okada chases the TV title, and Murphys in the heavyweight division

Its a good way to use these guys and it possibly makes future stars for the always rating decresing company

I would like to second the "like" of the Entourage Idea - Del Rio/Hunico/Epico/etc.
Also The Idea to fully evolve the Vickie Stable possibly w/Jericho is a good one.

But I would really like to see a a New Evolution stable...

EV. 2.0

Mentor/Manager: Triple H
Main-Eventer: Randy Orton
Top Mid-Carder: Cody Rhodes
Powerhouse: Wade Barrett
Diva: Kaitlyn

Package Them Like the the old Evolution but with even more style and class then before. All these guys(and gal) and play the stuck up, self absorbed, rich snob. It's prob actually all there best characters. Also adding a diva( and a one that is not just hit but strong and believeable) would add that new edge that they wpuld need though, so they dont exactly follow the old evolution. Also maybe even add some future members in an Alex Riley or Drew McIntyre.

Also another Idea...

The New Nation of Domination:

Mentor: Booker T
Main-Eventer: Mark Henry
Top Mid-Carder: R-Truth
Powerhouse: Ezekial Jackson
Tag Team: The Usos
Diva: Tamina

The History is there, Mark Henry was in the Original and is big enough to lead them now. The Usos and Tamina are connected to The Rock and the original nation. Booker T is relevant and R-Truth is more over than ever. Make is kinda like the original nation and just have them claim the dominance and try and take out others. Would probably only work if there were other factions around.

Cody Rhodes - The leader/main eventer
Dean Ambrose- The midcarder/ what randy orton was to evolution
Brodus Clay - The enforcer
Hawkins and Reks - The Tag Team

This stable would revolve around the basis of a group of misfits aiming to create total chaos. Their heel gripe can be that society and the wwe has held them down and that they turn their backs on society in favour of total anarchy. They'd have a similar vibe to the ministry of darkness/ raven's nest, but less gimmicky and around for longer. Have Ambrose under the tutorship of Rhodes until Ambrose breaks away for a feud over the championship with Rhodes. This would also give Hawkins and Reks (two extremely talented performers) something to do.

I know this would never ever happen and in today's world just can't be down without a leak, but I would love to have seen a group formed by some ROH talent. I would love to have seen them come in outsiders style and just start showing up and creating havoc. I would have started with Hero and claudio. Then, have Tyler black join them. At the elimination chamber, I would have a six man tag match. Triple H, CM Punk, and Daniel Bryan versus these three. Triple h gets eliminated. Now we're left with 2 on 3. Then Daniel Bryan turns on CM Punk and it's 4 against 1. They beat down punk. Now, Bryan challenges punk for a unification match at Mania.

I'd like to see a name that plays off of the Indy scene. And ring of honor. Problem is do enough people know who they are? Maybe something like the honor code....

The FACES of the WWE-Non main event guys that are faces and I have a hard time seeing as heels. Not really like a full time take over the WWE stable but guys that are friends who always have each others back

Air Boom
Yoshi Tatsu
Sin Cara
Santino
The Usos

Drew McIntyre
Curt Hawkins
Tyson Kidd

3 former tag team champions, McIntyre with Rhodes, Hawkins with Ryder, and Kidd with DH Smith.

All 3 now currently pretty much irrelevant.

Being as how Drew once held the IC belt he would be considered the leader.

These 3 enact the freebird rule to go after the tag belts again.

Eventually, once the team begins to get stale, Drew could break away to go after the IC belt again or the US title

I was coming in here to same something very similiar to this.

ADR starts a stable to protect himself. I would have it be

Leader- Alberto Del Rio
Ring Announcer - Ricardo Rodriguez
Manager - Vickie Guerrero (I think she has went as far as she can go with Ziggler)
Muscle/Bodyguard - Brodus Clay
Tag Team/Minions - Hunico/the new bigger guy with him this past week

Brodus Clay and The Uso's as heels. They all have the same look. Idk , I'd like it.

Christian, Curt Hawkins, and Tyler Reks

Wade Barrett and CM Punk have both being in stables recently and pretty much failed (Corre and New Nexus). Both are doing ok by themselves so why would people put them in stables again?!!! Evolution 2.0 sounds good though and I also like an Alberto Del Rio Mexican Stable. As things stand I would go:

Leader - Chris Jericho
Muscle - Brodus Clay
Tag - Alex Riley
Tag - Jack Swagger
Woman - Stephanie McMahon
Top Brass - John Laurinitas

I would have Jericho win the gold at Mania with the help of his faction and then turn The Miz face and have them go into a programme. It could really elevate Miz to the next level. Raw doesnt need 2 cocky antagonistic superstars who are similar. Riley and Swagger would make a great tag team. Clay could run with the IC belt and learn from Jericho like Batista did from Triple H in Evolution. Steph McMahon would be the 'she' and Clay and Laurinitis would fit in due to postponed debuts and hate for Punk.
