Where it at doe?
It up to you guys to decide if I should buy and X-Box 360. I am mainly buying it for a few games like Halo, Fable, Gears of War etc etc. But there could be more games in the future which I could love. Should I get it or not?

BTW I already have a Wii and I don't want to get a PS3 because I don't think blu-ray is good. Oh and I will be playing online if I do get an X-Box.

:lmao: Milk has played it twice in 2 years and a kid that has never played it says I should get it. Ha ha.

Sam said a few months ago that I should get it if I don't want the PS3. So I don't know.

OMG you guys can't be serious. The Xbox 360 is an amazing system. Gears online will have you hooked imidiatly dude it's an awesome game. Also as for Fable it's a pretty addicting game and defenitly good for multiple play throughs. Also as for tech support its amazing. My 360 took a crap about a month ago. I hoped on the internet, registured my system and they send me a box to shit it in. I had my system back 3 weeks later working like new with no questions asked. So yeah you should definitly pick up a 360 and depending on weather or not you like to listen to music while you game I would suggest the 60 gig harddrive.

I got COD 4, Halo 3, Halo wars, Gears of war 2, and Farcry 2 for christmas. Beat them all in like a days time. Platforms suck man.

^^Very good point, I should have asked if he was in it for the online play. Cuase even though those games are easy to beat the online on those gives it hours of extra game play. Hell I played Gears 1 sooooo much that I didn't buy an other games for month cuase it was amazing.

That's a pretty solid lineup of games there. Personally, I'd say go for it, though I'm not sure on the exchange rate from Australian dollars to American. I got a 360 myself and I play the living hell out of it. Plus, a lot of games that the PS3 can get, are coming out for the 360 as well. All the PS3 has right now is Killzone and MGS4 as exclusives that are really worth a damn. The online environment is tight, and is all the downloads you can get from it too. Which reminds me to go pick up some more points, I got a few classics I gotta run through.

Lol I don't like the game, tried the demo and never got hooked.

Yeah it comes with all the games. Oh wait it's about $520 australian dollars including postage so alround it would be about 360 american.

Ok sweet.

I own a 360, and despite it giving me two separate "red rings of death" I'd still pick it over a PS3. It has better online abilities and a bigger networking of people to play games with.

I was never into First Person Shooter games, beyond Goldeneye. So I couldn't tell you whether 'Gears of War' is any better than 'Resistance'. But I do know this.

If you purchase yourself a 360, then decide to buy an online Gold account. ($30.00 for 3 months, or $50.00 for a year) I will definitely add you and play you in some NBA 2k games. I own 2K7 and 2K8. I'd own 2K9, but I was waiting until it was available for purchase on gamefly.

I also own SDvRaw, along with Madden, NCAA Football, NHL 2K, and several other sports games.

The entire reason I bought a 360.. was for Dead Rising, however. I entirely advise you to go seek out that game. Its amazing, and definitely worth it.

If you don't care about blue ray the 360 is probably the way to go. Most games these days are on both consoles, but there are still quite a few exclusives left. If you're into RPG's then the 360 without a doubt is the console for you. If you are into shooters, its pretty much split. Both the PS3, and the 360 have great shooters. It just depends what shooter exclusives you like more.

When you talked about RPG's Marquis, that made me chuckle a bit. Because the last generation, if you wanted RPG's, you went to the PS2, the XBOX had shit for RPG's, save Fable and Morrowind. I find it funny that the roles have completely reversed now.

I don't find it funny, it fuckin pains me to admit something like that. I used to boycott the 360, but the inner RPG fan in me couldn't go on any longer without playing a good RPG. So i had to buy a 360. Very ironic how the role of RPG console king has reversed.

I was actually contemplating purchasing a PS3 over a 360 before either was released because I too am a huge RPG fanatic, and I really hated most of the RPGs the original Xbox had. I never owned a PS2 so I missed out on The Final Fantasy series and I was bound and determined not to do so on this generation of consoles. And then I saw the PS3's price tag..... Needless to say that changed my mind pretty quickly and I even waited for the 360's price to drop down enough for me to afford it, not to mention the news that FFXIII was going to be on the 360 as well. I'm working on completing the new Star Ocean right now.

For me its like this

Not failing on me

PS3 over 360

my first 360 failed on me...I got another one this past christmas it failed on me so I had to go the next day to exchange it...this one works..

my PS3 I got the Christmas before that and it has yet to fail on me.

Online Gameplay

360 over PS3.

Without a doubt the 360 has better online play then the PS3..

Both are hard picks...good for me I got both them and the Wii

I bought the PS3 around a month after its release. Reason being i assumed the new generation of Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Xenosaga, etc. Was gonna be on the PS3. What a fuckin surprise i got seeing Sony lose FF and SO to the xbox. If that wasn't enough, they pour salt on my wounds by releasing Tales of Vesperia on the 360! Along with a bunch of other Sqaure RPG's. So i caved in and picked up a 360.

SO4 is pretty damn good. Probably the best new gen RPG i have played to date(its toss up between SO4 and TOV). Haven't gotten around to finishing it since RE5 came out, but looking at the guide I'm only a few battles away from the final boss.

Definately get it man.

Halo 3 is a game that never gets old. I'm thinking of buying it. I own Gears of War 2 (a very good game) and I'm currently playing Fable 2. Xbox 360 has great games and I would recommend you purchase one.

No offense, but I find your logic to be completely silly.

Why get an Xbox over the PS3? PS3 has FREE online play, so even if you don't use the Blu-Ray, by the time you pay for Xbox live, you'll be paying more money for the Xbox. Not only that, PS3 has the better processing capabilities, a full internet browser, built-in wi-fi for wireless internet, and, of course, the Blu-Ray, if at some point you do decide to go that way.

Halo isn't near as good as Call of Duty, and Gears just flat out sucks. Killzone 2 wipes its ass with Gears, and let's not even get into the Resistance franchise.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and get the PS3. Buying an Xbox would be like buying a cassette tape player. Just dumb.

OMG you guys can't be serious. The Xbox 360 is an amazing system.
So amazing that it has basically completely tapped itself out in terms of potential?

Gears online will have you hooked imidiatly dude it's an awesome game.
Gears suck. Xbox fanboys who think Gears is a good game gets no respect from me.

My 360 took a crap about a month ago.
Yeah, you don't say? Failure on a 360? You must be joking.

I hoped on the internet, registured my system and they send me a box to shit it in. I had my system back 3 weeks later working like new with no questions asked.
Well, you know what Playstation does for theirs?

Me neither. My PS3 has never fucked up like the Xbox does.

I own a 360, and despite it giving me two separate "red rings of death"
Oh, you've had trouble with your Xbox failing too? Hmm, seems to be a pattern.

Seriously, why would you waste your money on a machine that will die on you?

If you don't care about blue ray the 360 is probably the way to go.
Not if he wants to play online, it's not. The 360 becomes the more expensive console with online subscription.

With the PS3, the Blu-Ray player comes free. You don't have to use it, but you an.

What are the "Exclusive" RPGs, and how do they compare to the awesomeness that is Fallout 3?

Seriously, I have owned both machines at the same time, and have played both machines extensively, and the PS3 is the MUCH better buy over the Xbox360.

Not everyone can afford a PS3, Sly. Over here in Australia, PS3's are worth $688 (Aus) sometimes without a game.

I would reccomend the 360 cause most of the games that come out for the PS3 also come out for the 360 & the online play on it is way better than the PS3. Also if you do get the 360 either get the hard drive with 60mb or the one with 120mb to store more memory than a normal memory card does & a hard drive allows you to save music onto the system.
