Hulk Hogan vs The Great Muta in Japan?

Money for nothin, chicks for free
Not even sure the date, it looks like pre WCW Hogan before he shaved off his mustache. The match is 16 minutes long and the crowd seems to be split between the two.

Match highlights....

• Muta gives Hogan the middle finger
• Muta says "Finish this motherfucker!" Before hitting his moonsault

• Hogan gets hit with the green mist
• Muta swings on a pirate ladder thing
• Muta kicks out of the legdrop
• Hogan heels it up several times, throws the ref on the mat twice
• Hogan executes an Inseguri (sp)
• The match ends with a regular move

I never knew Hogan and Muta locked up before. Not a bad match really.

It was in May 1993. Hogan was actually the WWF World Champion and infamously called that title a toy in the post-match press conference, saying that the IWGP World Title was the real world wrestling championship.

Here's that clip.

Hogan's signature move in Japan was the Axe Bomber, which to us looks like a lazy clothesline. I think he used that because the Japanese fans weren't convinced that the leg drop was a strong enough move.

Hogan in Japan is always neat to watch as he brings out a different style then we're used to in the States. The old SWS cards in particular are pretty fun to watch as they feature lots of WWF names from that time period competing in Japan since they had a working agreement at the time.
