How much is "too much?"

cena is rich and successful, i doubt getting some boos does anything to bother him at all. as long as he stays like this, which will probably be for the rest of his career, he's gonna get these chants. face it, its not about surprises and changing shit up, all that matters in wrestling anymore is how much money vince can make.
look at when stone cold turned bad, that was excellent and im sure he lost money, but shit like that is what the audience wants. even if they dont realize it, change is essential.

Cena is exactly what Vince McMahon had been looking for since the departure of Hogan in 1993. Here's Cena back in 2004,2005. A man still relatively young, who fans were into. McMahon wanted to make Lesnar the face of the WWE, the Great White Hope. But Lesnar left, along with other big names such as Rock, Austin, and Goldberg. So enter Cena. He became a company man, a yes man, no drama outside the ring. Just like Vince and any other corporation owner likes it. Cena is a corporate puppet. And what makes it ironic is that Cena is everything today that his rapper gimmick stood against back in the old days.

Nothing last forever, something has to give. Either Cena may get hurt, his wife may insist in having a family, or he just may wake up one day and not want do it anymore.

Umm, with the Long Island incident. Does anybody realize that Cena is from Massachusetts and the event took place in New York? I'm not saying that has everything to do with it but if you look at the history of NY vs MA. Not to many nice things are said about people from either side. And last time that the WWE was in MSG Cena was booed like hell.

As far as the idea that Cena has a breaking point when it comes to the fans negitive reaction. I doubt that's gonna be the thing to make him quit. Cena has said multiple times in multiple interviews outside of the ring that it doesn't bother him. That it drives him to prove everyone wrong and I feel thats the truth.

Oh and as far as everyone saying "You can't wrestle" I really don't see the point of yelling it. There are far worse wrestlers on the WWE Roster (Ala Khali, Santino, Kozlov, hell I usually see John Morrison botch more than Cena. Although that is due to his high flying nature.) Cena is obviously doing something right as far as wrestling is concerned otherwise he would have probably gone the route of Kennedy/Anderson. I'm not saying that Cena is the best wrestler in history but there are certainly worst wrestlers out there.

Yes we have other bad wrestlers such as Khali, Santino, Kozlov..but are they 7 or 8 time World Champion? Do they open and close every Raw? Do they main event 8 out of every 10 ppv's? No, only Cena does this.

Cena has been in the Main event picture for the past 5 years straight because Vince McMahon has allowed it, because Cena is a corporate puppet and this is how McMahon rewards him. Cena is McMahons golden goose.

This cookie cutter Cena gimmick is not working because we are not in 1988. From 1986 to 1992 the E was in a more innocent era, but after 1998-1999 fans woke up, and today fans are harder to impress. And if we are to leave it to Cena to impress we are dead in the water. Because this guys bores people to hell.

in ring wise, and ONLY in ring wise Cena = Hogan. they both blow. where as with hogan, it's because he was never really trained the way todays wrestlers are, with Cena, it's because they are modeling him TO be the 21st century Hogan. he does know more than 5 moves, because he use to use them all back in 04, 05. and actually, the rock was the face of the company for quite a while, as well as SCSA, long before cena. if you mean like goody good boy scout wise, then you cant even use Brock, cuz he did a lot of screwed up stuff too, but thats because it was still Pre-PG era. there have been many "face of the company" guys in between Hogan, and Cena. some didnt quite have the success as those 2, but looking at Merchandise wise? and crowd support? Rocky and Austin were always bigger in the fans eyes than Cena ever was/will be, thats only because they appealed to young AND old. that is where Vince is loosing out a bit, i mean, it aint going to hurt his pocket books now, nothing can. but by pretty much giving the F-U (pun intended) to the loyal fans who been there all those years, and just marketing to the kids not only with Cena, but with the likes of Mysterio too, it's kinda a slap in the face. i grew up with the attitude era, with the Hardcore matches, and bra and panties and im not some screwed up guy going out and doing harm in the world. for those who say that "the attitude era ruined someone's life" no. those people were effed up to begin with, and are only picking the easy target of wrestling to blame. Cena can take it, and unless he gets injured (his wife having a kid or something will not take him out long, look at shawn, or HHH) we're stuck with him every Monday night for a long time to come.

Let me tell you a secret about every mark who has ever hurled an insult or doubted Cena or made fun of his abilities...

We all respect him a lot

Because as a human being, he comes as the most level headed, warm and quite frankly amazing person.Yes, he is limited in the squared-circle but outside it, I think all of us would love to sit down and have a chat with him and hear his story.
We like booing the guy, and he likes it too. He now feeds of it and uses it in his promos and actions to much success. I do however think there should be a limit to rejecting a superstar, as long as it's not personal it's fine.

I know that almost all of us would mark out when Cena goes back to his Heel Rapper Gimmick( that was 'my best gimmick of the last decade' by the way) because he was mind-numbingly brilliant, like The Rock-brilliant.

But he is now the superman and he plays it well, very well. He is, unquestionably, the BIGGEST wrestling superstar on the planet and he's earned it.

But we still like to boo him, and frankly, I think he likes it.
