How is Matt Hardy a bad champion?

there are worse reigns by other champions but there were obviously better. Matt hardy is just an average champion. Remember he held titles that dont mean a damn thing. If the US title or the ECW title were bigger than they were, then he would have been a better champion IMO.

I think one reason is that Hardy is just so.. bland. He can't exactly create a big fued because he has nothing to bring to it. I like him and all, but the champion is normally the one who makes the fued, and Hardy can't do that. In the US fued it was all about MVP challenging Hardy and it went with MVPs gimmick. Then Hardy gets the title and, well, he has no gimmick. So it was just random matches until he lost it. With the ECW he had even less options. Mark Henry was a fail because of how boring the matches were, and by the end people were just begging for Matt to lose it. Now Swagger has the title, and he's a guy who can make a fued. So I think that it's just because Hardy has nothing to work with because he's been stuck in the same gimmickless position for years. Now he finally has something, with his Jeff fued, which shows that Matt just works better at non-title fueds.

I'd wager any amount that the only reason Matt still subsists on the WWE roster is because of Jeff. And that's even being generous since I'm not so high on Jeff.

Totally with Eric Bischoff on this one; he's lucky to be taking home a paycheck every week.

I have to go back to something that NoFate said back on the first page: Matt is the definition of average. Think back to the last Matt Hardy match you watched. Now, try and tell me any outstanding spot he did. Kudos to you if you can, but I definitely cannot. I like how they are setting up his feud with Jeff right now because it is all true. The fans do like Jeff better and Matt has always been in his shadow, and that is because Jeff is better. Jeff is more exciting, more charismatic, and just an overall better draw than Matt. Even the pops he was getting as a face were carryovers from the TLC matches with Jeff. And who, may I ask did all the spots that made those matches popular? Once again it was Jeff. Matt Hardy is not necessarily a bad champion, he is just painfully boring. Hopefully this brother vs. brother feud adds some depth and character to Matt.
