We've had some gains and some losses. The non-spam discussion has definitely improved, but spam discussion has definitely declined in value. I attribute this decline in value to less justinsayne, non-kayfabe Monkey, Y 2 Jake, and jpfizzle. Looking at the answers, I'm guessing forums...

I joined with my first account back in like 2005/2006 (forgot the password and username ). I remember there wasn't really any spam rules. Lots of hate. So when I left for about a year or so and came back, I didn't know you couldn't spam or flame. Oops.
