Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
Jon Stewart just did a bit on his show where he had a computer as the perfect GOP candidate. He asked the computer about Obama being born in Hawaii and the computer wanted proof. Stewart then asked the computer if it was Pro-Life. The computer said it was. Stewart then said that it's considered fact that Obama's parents were married in Hawaii in 1961 and lived there earlier. Obama's mother was 3 months pregnant when they got married, and since life begins at conception to those that are Pro-Life, Obama was officially born in Hawaii according to those that are Pro-Life.

Well played.

Guys like Jon Stewart and Bill Maher are as liberal as it gets in the media, and I don't consider myself a liberal at all (there are some things where I have liberal viewpoints, but I would still never in a million years classify myself as a liberal), but regardless... they're the only political commentators I watch regularly. Both guys are absolutely brilliant.

That would be correct. The leaning part is important though as he'll bash libs/dems too.

The main thing he and Maher bash liberals about is them being *****es. They want their left representatives to be more outspoken about their beliefs, instead of pussyfooting around everything and being so considerate of conservatives feelings. The conservatives absolutely do not show the same consideration, so why should democrats?

Strictly speaking as a spectator, it would be much more entertaining if liberal politicians were as brash and blunt as conservative politicians are.

Because it allows liberals to (at least claim) to retain the moral high ground. Rather than filibustering every piece of legislation the Senate passes, the Dems reach across the aisle to try to compromise. And yes I know at least half of that is BS, but on the record it's the GOP filibustering, not the Dems.

I'm not bashing the daily show to clarify my statement. I enjoy Stewart, Colbert, and to a lesser extent maher. On the flipside I love Dennis miller as well. Political comedy is a bitch.
