It doesn't help when the writers don't know how to book a face.
Let me explain; John Cena is the top babyface. But at least in storyline, AJ has every right to be upset about what he did to her. He openly made her out with her on screen, kept leading her on, and really dicked around with her. AJ is unlikeable, but John really comes across as kind of a douchebag playing with what he knows is a mentally unstable girl.
It's the good ol' double standard. Faces are allowed to be unmititgated assholes but the moment a heel stands up for themselves they're supposed to be the bad guy. Like Hornswoggle could mess with other people's stuff and stir up shit with someone yet when the so-called heel calls him on it we're supposed to hate the guy for putting the little sonofabitch in his place?
Or we're supposed to condone Trish Stratus calling Molly Holly a fatass yet boo Layla And Michelle McCool for doing the same thing to Mickey James? I'm sorry but I'm gettin' a lot of mixed messages here.
