Have You Ever Met A Celebrity, And What Were They Like?

I met:

Bret Hart: My dad worked security and he got him to say hi and all. He was in a towel after the show (no homoHe gave me a signed pair of his glasses.

Rick steiner: He quickly shook my hand in the back of my dads car before going into a club (That counts I think)

All the members of Kittie (2 different rosters, Multiple times):Morgan was cool but pretty mellow, (I got her a salad from TGIF) Mercedes was cool as hell, she smokes alot though. Jennifer (bassist at the time was probrobly the coolect of them all. She actually remembered me the two times shee came back. Lisa was a tool, I fucking hated her.

Candice of Walls of Jericho: She was awesome after the show. And during she SCREAMED at me and pulled my braids. It ruled.

Chris Benoit: I met him in November, he was a GREAT guy, he signed my figure that my girlfriend has. She cried when she took a pic with him. I had him sign the inside cover of his DVD, and I pretty much thanked him for all hes done and how he was a inspiration to me. (DOH)

I met most of the Canterbury Bulldogs NRL team, when I dated a cousin of one of the players. A lot of absolute jerks on the team, especially Willie Mason.

Funny that considering they have all the time in the world for their fans.

"Everybody hates us. We don't care"

i have met all of the newcastle knights players from their 2001 team
steve waugh mark waugh michael hussey michael clarke stuart clark
stevie ray shannon noll(really bad singer)

I've met a few people, including Helen Hunt, during the filming of the movie TWISTER (she was a stuck-up b*tch). At a house show in Lexington, KY, I met John Cena, Maria, Coach, Hurricane/Rosey, and Christy Hemme. At Backlash in Lexington last year, we were standing in the rain outiside wating for autographs when RVD pulled up in a white four door car. He rolled his window down and asked if we knew if it was raining...didn't help that a huge cloud of smoke rolled out of his car either...hmm...that same afternoon, Shelton Benjamin and Viscera shrugged us off for autographs, so Matt Striker (who was on his cell phone at the time) saw that, and hung up the phone to come say hi to us and sign autographs.

As far as me wrestling over the last seven years, I've met several current and former TNA guys, such as Sharkboy, The Naturals, America's Most Wanted, and Slash. I've been pretty lucky over the years.

PS...to the person who disliked Greg Valentine....I 100% agree...he is a miserable prick. Found that out at an AWA show, where Larry Zybysko, myself, Chris Harris, and Kamala were signing autographs.

I met kenneth branner working on a film he directed called the magic flut that was an experience i will always remember, clive owen when i was working on children of men

Branner: he was great he helped mentor me in regards to the acting business

owen was a bit of a jerk i dont know if it was the day we where shooting or just the plane fact that he wanted to be on everyones nerves

i actually kind of met Corey taylor (lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour)

it was after the concert and my buddies and i were at a gas station rest stop getting food and gas. i was walking out of the restroom and corey comes walking in the door looking for a place to eat. asks me if i knew anywhere to eat and i pointed him in the direction. i walk outside and sure as shit, there is his Stone Sour tour bus and the rest of the band just having a smoke break outside of it.

i didnt get all star struck over it. figured he was probly tired and just wanted to go home, so i didnt want to be that annoying fan yanno.

Finally, I can post in this thread. Last night, during Raw (or, to be specific to the time, Heat) at the NIA, I headed out back of the arena to make a phone call, and ran into a late arrival at the arena (the traffic did suck that night). Who was it? I'll give you a clue.

DAMN!

Yes, I met the immortal Ron Simmons!

He's actually a great guy. Despite being late, he stopped for a photo and an autograph once he'd got inside (it was raining) and he was a great guy. He was even wearing the DAMN t-shirt at the time, so it's a great pic, and he was (contrary to his on screen character) a talkative guy. Hoped I enjoyed the show, had a nice time, etc.

There it is. Total wrestlers met: 1.

Ron Simmons.

I've met a couple

I met a signer name David Alan Coe- he was staying at the hotel I work at, he was really nice and we talked about some stuff he had been working on with Dimebag Darrell before he died. He talked to me for about 30 minutes.

I met Lila McCann (sp?) she also is a singer, she also was staying at the hotel I work at, she was really nice and was trying o have a conversation but the lady that was with her yelled at her that she needed to go to bed. So she politely said goodnight and went to her room.

I met Mark Grace (baseball player for the Cubs and Diamondbacks) at an autograph signing, He was rushed because of the number of people there so he didn't get to talk very much. He was trying to be nice enough to at least hav ea short conversation. He also stayed an extra half hour even though he had a game the next day,

I met a band called Stroke 9, they did a show here and after hung around and talked to people, there were really nice and talkative. It was like hanging out with friends almost.

I have met a couple wrestlers

Disco Inferno- He was an hour late for his autograph signing, he asked if I was going to the show that night and talked to me about my shirt (It was a Bret hart shirt) he seemed really nice but other people were saying he was being a jerk.

Steve Austin- Met him at a hockey game. He was in the club room after the game so I got to see him there too, my sister almost hit him with a door becasuse she's dumb and can't see through glass I guess. He was nice. a girl that was there said hi aas he was walking by and he stopped and said "how ya doin honey?" then one of the hockey players walked over after austin left and said "he looks maad, did you guys lay the smackdown on old stone cold?"
he didn't know stone cold was behind him and stne cold jsut turned aroudn and kind of smiled and walked away

Ric Flair-met him at a hockey game too. He wouldn't talk to anyone and hardly made eye contact. People were asking him questions and he just ignored them. He was very much acting like he didn't want to be there.

Kane-Met him at a baseball game. It was while he had the mask and he was in full uniform. A freind of mine asked to be chokeslamed and Kane said "it will cost you" my friend pulled out $20 and Kane laughed. I didn't stay around after he was done but people said he hung around and answered questions and talked to people. He seemed cool, he shook my hand and almost crushed one of me friends hands

Stacy Kiebler- Met her at a hockey game, When it was my turn to get her autograph there was a fight going on and she started pumping her fist and saying "Fight, fight fight" so laughed and said sorry. She also came down to the club room. A girl I was talking to looks kind of like her and Stacy stopped and let the girl get a picture with her. She was nice.

Tddy Long- Stayed at the hotel I work at. He gave tickets for the show to a co worker of mine. I talked to him while he was cehcking in. He pretty much asked where a local gym was and I asked if we were going to see an awesome show the following night, he laughed and said "you better believe it playa"

Rey Mysterio- Stayed at the hotel. He was really quiet and ignored the kids that were in the lobby. He looked pretty rough though and had jsut come from an event.

Chuck Palumbo- Stayed at the hotel. He wasn't really talkative. He wasn't rude or anything though. When I gave him his key he said "thanks brother" that was pretty much it

Mark Henry-Stayed at the hotel. He was really soft spoken. He was awesome with ht ekids even though he is aheel. He wasn't in charecter at all. He brought back a pizza nad asked me if I wanted a piece.

Viscera- Stayed at the hotel. I didn't really get to talk to him. He went out (with Mark Henry) to a club and brought back a girl. He let her go down the hallway then turned to me smiled and gave me thumbs up. He also talked to the kids.

Matt Hardy and MVP- Met them at the hotel. I posted my conversation with them in another thread. I asked tehm if they were golfing fot the next challenge and MVP started talking about how he would beat Matt. THen I told Matt I was going to riot if he didn't get teh world title soon. He shook my hand and said "that's awesome! thank you!" MVP then said "what about me?" I said "dude that's matt hardy" and MVP said "then who am I?" and I said "MVP, matt's tag partner" MVP said "I'm 10 times better than him" then Matt said "why do you need another title? you have two" MVP said "I'm MVP, I like gold" then they kind of argued back and forth. THey were awesoem with the kids in the lobby. MVP ws very mcuh playing the heel role telling the kids they had 10 seconds to take a picture because he was important and had important things to do. Matt, MVP and Rey were getting ready to go out and Matt asked directions to where they were going. He also made sure Rey and MVP knew that he wuold be doing teh driving.

Rey, MVP, Matt and Chuck all came in together. MVP asked for the WWE rate which is what I gave to Mark Henry and VIscera who came together, then Matt asked for an even cheaper rate.

I also met a NASCAR driver John Andretti, he wass nice and pretty talkative.

I met a couple members of the Harlem Globetrotters. they were nice and talekd quite a bit.

I met Albert Pujols (baseball player with the cardinals0 when he was a minor league player. He was friendly.

Mike Macdougal (baseball player with the white sox) I met hm after a game. He was talking to a bunch of kids and I aksed him if he wanted to go to the waffle house with my friend and I. he laughed and shook my hand.

Jose Contreas (sp?) (baseball player) I met him after a game, he was signing authographs and talking to people. He was nice.

Odalis Perez (baseball player) met him after game, he waas signing autographs. He was with this really hot girl so I said "I want her autograph" the girl laughed, Odalis didn't

Kind of Frank Thomas (baseball player) there were some white sox signing autographs after a game, frank came by in his suv and ignored everyone, I was about 1 foot from his suv and decided not to move, he drove past as if no one was there.

Mark Burhle (sp?) (baseball player) - He signed autographs and talked to people. Nice guy

Well seeing as this is a wrestling forum, when I was six years old I met Mene Gene Okerlund while on holiday in Tampa, Florida. He was pretty funny, he told me that Sid Justice and Macho Man had houses in the area. He also tried to chat up my mother... dirty old man lol.

Oh and also he assumed just because I was British that I would be attending Summerslam at Wembley later that year lol! "See you at Summerslam"

Havent met any wrestlers-yet. Hoping to me some next time I go to a show. I have met that cook Emeril Lagrasse (sp?). It was at a book signing, asked for our opinion (or something to that extent) on the Red Sox(hes from Mass)-I believe it was during their World Series run in 04.

I also met Rodman Philbrick, who wrote the book Freak the Mighty (it was made into the movie The Mighty). He was really cool, and met with my entire school, cause we had to read the book over the summer. He signed my copy of the book, and said he could possibly use my name as the one of the names for a character in one of his upcoming books (he said he likes shorter names cause it takes a shorter time to type them). Really cool guy.

I was walking through the pittsburgh airport at like 5 in the morning when all of a sudden i see like 50 people in a huge group walking towards me. The entire steelers team was comin back from a game they had with the colts the night before in mexico city. I am a huge steelers fan and i kordell stewert who was my favorite qb at the time walked by and smiled at me i was in shock and kept walkin and continued up the escalator and realized the I didnt even say hi or ask for an autograph wat a douchebag

Everyone I met were professional wrestlers. Bryan Danielson, Macho Man Randy Savage, Kurt Angle, Hillbilly Jim, Brian "Crush" Adams, Nigel Mcguinness and the legendary Superstar Billy Graham!

The one I thought was the biggest asshole was Bryan Danielson. He didn't bother saying anything to any of his fans other than just signing autographs quickly after a ROH show which disappointed me a lot. The greatest wrestler I met was Kurt Angle (this was back in 2001) and Superstar Billy Graham.

Meeting Superstar Billy Graham was probably one of the greatest moments in my life, literally speaking. I would never trade that moment for anything. It was during the road of WrestleMania 22. I purchased a Limited Edition action figure for him to sign.

I've met alot, as i used to work backstage at G-A-Y, its a big nightclub in London were acts perform on a Saturday night. Girls aloud, will Young, Madonna, Maria crey, Kylie, McFly, Jamelia, to name but a few have all performed there. I was lucky enough to meet a few of them. I didnt get to chit chat with them, it was very formal so it was hard to figure out what they were really like.

I don't know whether or not that they are considered celebrities but i got to meet everyone from the group, or Breaking Benjamin and that was freakin' awesome...The guys will really mellow and down to earth. They all signed my cd fro me, and the lead signer signed my shirt.

Amaury Nolasco: He's the guy who played the drunk puerto rican pitcher on The Benchwarmers. I met him when my dad and I were extras on prison break. I actually thought he'd be a dick lol, but he turned out to be a really nice guy.

Juan Gonzalez: Former outfielder of the Texas Rangers. After the game there was a huge crowd outside with security all over the place. We were waiting for the players to drive out when I spotted him walking to his car. He had three guys with him. He was my favorite player at the time so I tried to get to him but we were immediately stopped by security and I was pretty much yelled at to stay back(I was 11 years old). In the end we were at his car just before he was going to leave, we got our baseballs signed, shook his hand and both parties were on their way. It was awesome.

Bill Goldberg: He was scheduled to be at a convention in downtown Dallas, and there we waited in line for three hours. He was a really awesome guy, one of the best people I've ever met.

The rest are wrestlers I met on the same day at a wrestling convention.

Kevin Von Erich: Surely you guys know who he is. A true legend from the golden days of wrestling. He seems really quiet, but nonetheless he was a nice guy. It was an honor to shake his hand, the same hand that executed the iron claw for many years.

Al Snow: Just a joy to be around. A few minutes after we met him, we were talking to Dr. Death Steve Williams at his table when out of nowhere Al grabbed my brother and I, and pretended to knock our heads together and told us to get out of his way(jokingly, of course). Just a total goofball lol. I could've got his autograph, but I've always felt that a signature means nothing. He was an awesome guy and shaking his hand means a helluva lot more to me.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams: Another awesome guy. We shook his hand and asked him if he would take a picture with us. Without hesitation he got up with a title belt of his and gave it to me to hold as he put his arms around us. After my dad snapped the picture he asked a stranger walking by to snap another one for us because he wanted my dad in it. I was in awe. I love that guy.

Mick Foley: The lady in charge of the place had a big gray curtain set up for fans to take pictures with him for a price of 15 bucks, and if we wanted an autograph it would be 30 bucks. We didn't like her for shit anyway because she was a total bitch. We took the picture and got it 10 minutes later. So later on Mick was sitting at a large table with all the wrestlers. We walked up to him to thank him for the photo. He held it in his hand with a smile on his face and then looked around for the same lady, snuck out his marker and signed it for us, free of charge.

King Kong Bundy: Also from the old WCCW days. Really great guy.

Rick Steiner: He wasn't scheduled to be there, but he showed up anyway to say hello to a few of the guys and sign a couple of autographs. Some people have told me he's a total asshole, but I've always been a huge fan of his and he's actually a cool guy. He shook our hands, talked a little bit, took a picture with us and was on his way.

Gary Hart: Super nice guy. Didn't hesitate to take pictures.

Francine: The whole day some fat guy kept stalking her, but despite that she talked to us and happily took a picture.

Kimberly Page: Stuck up.

Rodney Mack: Really great guy. Took a couple pictures with us.

Jazz: Extremely nice to talk to.

Jacqueline: Very cool and gave me some good advice about wrestling.

Shawn Stasiak: Prima donna prick.

And finally, Skandor Akbar: A legend from WCCW and one of the best people I've ever known.

Shortly after his 2nd Cocaine conviction, I spotted Lawrence Taylor on a Bench Press. It was at a gym up in Upper Saddle River, NJ where he was a member. It was during high school wrestling season, he and a friend of his were on the flat banch next to mine. I was doing 225, he had at least 325 on his rack. Well, his buddy had to take a phone call, so he looked at me, 5-lb diamond stud in his ear, and asked "Yo man, can you spot me?" I reluctantly said yes.

I asked him if he needed a liftoff, and he said "I should be good." He proceeded to pump out 8 reps without me touching the bar. There was no testosterone laiden "C'Mon LT, NO PAIN!" screams coming from me - in fact I didn't say a word. I was terrified he might try to snort me.

I've met two wrestlers; Mick Foley and Kurt Angle. I was too young (probably about six or seven) to remember much about meeting Mick Foley, but I do remember waiting in line and I do have his autograph. I didn't really expect to meet Kurt Angle when I did, but it was really cool. I went to New Year's Revolution in 2006, when Kurt Angle was eliminated by Shawn Michaels after he was hit by sweet-chin music in the Elimination Chamber match. After everything was done (including Edge using his Money-in-the-Bank opportunity), my brother and his friends were leaving and we saw Daivari (his then manager) and Kurt on the lower level near the locker room's. Kurt was nice enough to sign 5-10 signatures, even after he lost the match, until just about everyone noticed him and started to come over. He was really cool though.

I went to Ozzfest this year and the Miz was the "hype master" and there to plug smackdown I guess. Anyway shortly after arriving I saw a tent with a short line that said WWE Friday smackdown, I was dissapointed when I saw it was the Miz but I still went on over to meet him. I shook his hand and jokingly said, damn man when they gonna put that world title around your waist? Then he said oh yeah well they should at least give me a shot, I mean Ive faced some big guys like the undertaker!" Which I thought was pretty comical but I got an autograph and was on my way.

9 or 10 years ago I stood line to get Sandy Alomars autograph at Sams club. I just said thanks, he said no prob and I was on my way.

I met Rafer Alston, kinda, at just an autograph signing thing. He seems like a positive guy, always smiling, didn't mind taking a picture in addition to the autograph.

I met Kid Kash a few months ago at a wrestling show, he was really nice and was willing to chat to me for ages, which I thought was nice.

Met CM Punk after the Survivor Series Tour in Aberdeen - cool guy signed my book then complimented my blue hair (I dyed it for that night)

Cherry came out but missed the section I was in. Kane and Festus just went straight into the bus without even looking at the crowd.

I met Chris Jericho at one of book signings in October. I acted like I was an oblivious fan and didn't know anything and said "You know, you should come back. We all miss you a lot." He had such a fake look of surprise and said "Oh yeah? Wow.. Maybe I will. You never know." And then about a couple of weeks later, he came back to RAW. Jericho was a very nice guy. He stopped signing autographs for people in line for a minute and got up to talk to a kid in a wheel chair and took a lot of pictures with him. It was very nice.

I met Drew Carey in DisneyQuest in Orlando. He was getting on a virtual ride in front of us and my stepdad yells out "HEY LOOK! IT'S DREW BARRYMORE!" It was so embarassing. Drew Carey just looked at my stepdad like he was a sad individual.

I met Kid Kash a few months ago at a wrestling show, he was really nice and was willing to chat to me for ages, which I thought was nice.

One of my friends wrestled Kash a little more than a year ago. Prior to that the only big name he had been in the ring with was Samoa Joe, and it was just to get tossed out of the ring along with five other guys (Joe is one of the coolest by the way). Kash was funny as hell. My buddy had to take a running boot to the face as part of the match, he went up to Kash before the match and said "don't hold back with your kick, hit me right in the face" (my friend was like fuck it, I'm wrestling a big name) Kash chuckled and said "oh I was planning on it." Kash was just giving him a hard time.

I met mick foley around when his book foley is good was released, he was pretty cool for a big name and he seemed a little depressed but still very cool i couldnt shake his hand for some reason the security said not too right before i got the autograph.

When i was in 5th grade my dad and my older cousin went to get nitro tickets and goldberg was signing autographs but i couldnt go because i had school. I remember balling my eyes out but as i got older im glad i had school because goldberg was terrible and kinda gay

Met Randy Ortons mom if thats anything shes a nurse at a hospital over here in the stl she has picks to back it up now only if i can meet Randy and Kane since they both grew up here

well i got bret harts and jim duggans autograph when i was like 5 years old and i've also met conan o'brian for those of you who know who that is. the guy is hillarious.

my dad has actually met a bunch of people though. He works in time square at some huge law firm so lots of stars go there on business but hes actually met Stone Cold (whose autograph i got), Michael Jordan, Elton Brand, Billy Joel, Rosie O'donnel, Ellen, Phil Simms and Manny Ramirez. a couple of other people too but i cant remember.
