GSB's Post-Vasectomy After Care LD - What Rhymes With Sterile?

I am surprised. I think of Goldberg as an IWC whipping boy. I expect Andre to lose unfairly to the Harts, Guerreros, Punks, and Jerichos of the world but not someone with a crap legacy like Goldberg. It is the damn prime argument that I can't stand. Legacy should win over prime, especially when you have two guys who are no longer working, let alone at the top of their profession. Goldberg had what? 5 years? It was a great run for the most part but after a while it got tiresome and hard to believe. His signatures (the spear and jackhammer) were the kind of moves that were either impossible to affect or even apply to a guy the size and build of Andre (again Andre is not Big Show). On top of that, put a long weapon in Andre's hands (like a ladder) and you lose any speed advantage. And on top of on top of that, ladder matches are never about the faster guy racing to the top. They are about a vicious struggle leading to one guy slowly and dramatically reaching the prize. A speed advantage means nothing at the end.

Shit, this would have made for a better argument than "Goldberg would never fight on the Sabbath".

Oh well, time to either move on to Hogan or to stop caring. And no, as much as I love Ricky Steamboat he has no business making it too far.

Yeah I loved your argument that Andre would just knock Goldberg out with the ladder because it's probably true. Andre could also just put Goldberg through a bunch of ladders until he can't even stand.

People assume Andre is Big Show and that's why he lost this round. Would you have voted Andre over Hogan?

Just sold our house. It wasn't horrible but there were too many things that made us unhappy. I'm not sure where we are moving. Either the NW or Northern Suburbs or Buffalo NY if I can find a job there.

Sorry to hear you might be leaving us here in the Chi. Hope the move isn't too bad. Hope this cheers you up.

Probably but that would be based strictly on bias and nothing else objectively reasonable. The right stipulation that clearly favored Andre's size and power may give me a less biased reason but I would need time to think about it.

By the way I just wanted to let you know that I have made it so that only a finite number of people can read this thread. Welcome to the Super Adventure Club.

Well Andre got past Goldberg.

You can sleep easy tonight knowing that. The question is can he get past the fourth round?

There was a last minute vote that put Andre on top. I wish we could tell who did it.

I see nothing in Thesz' main move set that would lead me to believe that he could beat Andre's size. It's all power, submission and working the body. None of it would affect Andre at all. The stipulation is the only thing that puts the match in doubt.

That and the hard-on guys around here have for the IWC's current goldenboy, Lou Thesz. We will see.

So i'm watching the comedy roast of Donald Trump and I've never seen somebody bomb on these....until tonight with The Situation from Jersey Shore.

HOLY SHIT HIS JOKES SUCKED! At one point he even fucked up and said "Donald Chump" instead of Donald Trump.

Do you like these comedy roast shows GSB?

Yes, I try to watch them when they first come out. The Situation was a mess. He has no timing and no self awareness. I think this was also a time where he was doing some heavy drugs.

There is one roast where Hogan was on the dais. He gets ripped apart almost as much as the man of honor. I can't remember if that was the Trump roast but it is some good stuff.

Nah Hogan wasn't on the Trump roast. Never seen Hogan as part of any of them.

Ever seen the Charlie Sheen one? That may be my favorite one ever. Maybe just for his line at the end of "Did you really think your little jokes could hurt me? I'm the Wild Thing Ricky fuckin Vaughn!" cause Major League is a great movie.

Sheen's is great. He's such an easy target.

Any time Gilbert Gottfried gets out there I lose it. Jeffrey Ross is made for roasts.

Major League is a classic. That is one movie franchise that went to shit after the first movie though.

I liked WM. Only saw the last four matches and enjoyed most everything I saw. I am not certain why the rest of the IWC is in such a tizzie but most people are idiots and it is probably good for site traffic.

Coz the crowd looked dead after the Punk/Taker match. No piss-breaks and shit.

I'l tell you one thing, they relieved themselves wholely for that Raw.

It's been almost 10 years since I watched a WM event. Besides some of Taker's matches, am I missing out on anything?

It's New Jersey, those people will relieve themselves just about anywhere.

I think so.

Not much, I am not a fan. Born and raised a Sabres fan. I will not commit sports bigomy.

I also cancelled my sports package that got me the NHL Network about a week before they announced the strike would end. Whoops!

Ahhhhh. Understandable. Well, as an "outside", so to speak, fan, what did you think of their point streak?

Impressive. Kind of sad it didn't get more national attention but with the strike and it being hockey the media just isn't as interested.

Should be interesting to see what hockey can become again. It's my favorite sport to see live. Baseball is too slow and the weather can suck, basketball is too repetitive and doesn't feel exciting normally until the last few minutes, football has too many long breaks and the weather can be an issue. Hockey just flows and the sounds (checking, shots, saves) are fantastic.
