Hellsing has a great story to it. Prefer the English dub over the original Japanese. Its just too odd to imagine Brits speaking Japanese.

Gantz... I want my money back. Its just Kill Bill-ish anime with some sex scene's.

If you're not, make sure you watch the Ultimate Hellsing OVAs, they are better than the original anime series.

I wasn't much into Gantz, it was alright, but I'd prefer to watch something like X instead.

Watch X, great movie and great anime series, give it a try. The movie is a bit confusing but the series really fleshes it out.

Cowboy Bebop - Still my all time favorite anime and I"ve watched it start to finish multiple times since I first saw it on adult swim 6 years ago.
Hellsing - Is outstanding
X - Movie was great, never did finish watching the series which is sad since I do own it.

The two Vampire Hunter D movies are very good. Damn I really need to go through my old DVDS and see what else to recommend.

Edit: Ninja Scroll is another series/movie I would recommend as well.

Actually watched the first couple of episodes of Hellsing on Monday after I remembered Doc saying it was good. AWESOME WATCH! Really enjoyed it. That first episode especially. Great stuff. The visuals are really awesome. Just went and ordered the whole series on Play.com.

Gantz is awful if you're looking for anything other then blood and gore. It's absolute shit and only uses overt violence to keep people watching.
