Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

So, I'm going to assume I'm not any ballots. I don't care enough to check but I'm not exactly notable.

Also, got elbowed in the face earlier. Cheerleading is still the manliest thing I've ever done.

I went to my niece's Christmas play tonight. She ran up and gave me a hug and I've got glitter all over me. I swear that shit is like herpes, it never goes away. Next time I step into the sun I'll have a flair up.

...or a 12 yr. old girl will think you're a vampire.

Do I start Tampa's D against the Eagles or do I keep them benched in hopes New England has one of those crazy good Defensive games?

Philly has given up the most fantasy pts. to defense all year, I highly doubt they're going to end that now. Meanwhile Houston has given up the 2nd fewest pts. to opposing fantasy defenses this year. This really shouldn't be a hard decision for you.

Seriously. New England's D is pretty overrated, and while Tampa isn't as good as they were a few years back, they are going against a rookie QB. I believe either Maclin or Jackson is out also, plus McCoy is unlikely to play. Meanwhile New England will be tasked with stopping Foster, and even if they do Schaub has put up solid numbers to Johnson and Daniels all year. Step ya game up Pancock.

So Kevin Smith's final movie was originally just going to be one film, then he realized he had too much story he wanted to tell, so he decided instead he was just going to split it into two films, like Quinton did with Kill Bill, then he learned just how hard it is to get funding to do one hockey movie in America, & that trying to do two would be next to impossible, so he decided he would just cut some shit out & just go back to making one movie. Now he's announced his final film is no longer going to be a film at all, but instead a mini-series, so now he can tell the entire story, which spans 30 yrs., that he originally wanted to tell. He hasn't said what network has picked it up yet, because they want to make the announcement themselves. Personally I just wish he'd make the damn thing already.

New England's defense is pretty porous and the Eagle's offense is abysmal. I say go Tampa.

Well now that Philly no longer sports Michael Vick at QB, the turnover problems are being cut down... but they still suck. Eagles are definitely the better choice.

Oy vey. Well, it sounds like it's not his fault that he hasn't made it, he just can't find funding. Let's hope he has enough friends at AMC that they'll be willing to kick him some money for the project.

After he came to blows with The Weinstein Company over the promotion of Zach and Miri he has had a hard time finding funding and distributors.

AMC seems like a decent bet for a mini series. They are pretty high on him.

It wasn't so much the distribution of Zach & Miri that caused the riff between them as it was him telling Harvey to shut the fuck up at a screening cause he wanted people watching to enjoy the film & Harvey was making a bunch of noise in the back of the room. His issues with distribution come from studios buying a film that only cost a few mil. to make & then spending 2-3x that promoting the film, meaning that the studio needs to make all that money back plus what was spent to actually make the film before it turns a profit or something along those lines. The Kevin sees it, the majority people that are going to come out to see the movie, & are really going to care know about the movie through Twitter, Facebook, his podcast, & other free forms media, it really doesn't make sense to spend bunch on billboards, bus ads, etc.

As for this projects new home, I'm really hoping it's AMC, it seems like the best place for it, & he's already got a good relationship with them due to Comicbook Men.

Playing GTA: Vice City on the iPad... God, I love this game.

GTA might be the only series where the games got better with each release. 3<VC<SA<4. I can only assume 5 is going to be the best one yet.

Is it better than San Andreas?

No, San Andreas just had so much more going on. Better game play, better cities, better story, better missions... all around a better game.

I've had the latest issue of Game Informer in my floor for like two weeks and I have yet to read up on how the game will work with three different characters.

I always marvel how older games from like 30 years ago are so much harder than games nowadays. I was playing through Donkey Kong 64 and you have to play and complete Jumpman before you can fight King Krool - that shit was fucking hard. Gears of War 3 wasn't even a 10th as difficult.

Finally visited Morthal last night. A quiet little town that the Grune the Destroyer could seriously see himself retiring to in his dotage, especially after after he and his trusty bow dealt with the vampire coven.

Killing Alva, the woman behind the killing of Hroggar's wife and young daughter, Helgi, was particularly satisfying - snuck up on her while she was sleeping and dealt an overhand power strike with Wuuthrad. Fortunately It was not quite enough to kill her but a quick punch in the face with the handle left her in prime position for a decapitation.

._.

I can just never get into games like GTA that offer you so much freedom, I prefer more linear straight forward games, like Uncharted, Arkahm Asylum, Gods of War, etc. Different strokes for different folks I s'pose.

Woke up this morning with that scratchy, flemmy, gross feeling in my throat & my sinus all congested again. How come NyQuil seems to work better for Drew Brees than it does for me?

Grune wants to retire to that type of life? No thank you. If Bronn doesn't wind up living in one of his manors on the outskirts of the smaller Skyrim cities, he'd probably like to live in Solitude where he can regale the locals with his stories of courage, visit the Blue Palace for banquets where he can be a living representation of Skyrim's strength and courage, and if need be, he can dust off his battle axe and dragon bone armor and take a few swings at whatever the Thalmor throw at the great walls of Solitude.

He may be a gruff beserker in the battlefield, but Bronn loves his homeland too much to ever give up defending her.

There was a bug in my game where she came back from the dead. Everyone else who died on that quest stayed dead, but Alva came back. Maybe it has something to do with the Dawnguard expansion which concerns itself with vampires.

There's something to be said for both types of games, and I definitely think there's a happy medium in the middle that makes for the perfect game. Mass Effect reaches that balance since you can choose which missions you want to play and explore the galaxy on your own, but once you load up those levels it's pretty linear.

Because he's Drew Brees, a highly trained athlete whose body is extremely strong and capable of fighting disease... and you're not.

By dotage, I mean too old to wear his battle armour or carry Wuuthrad.

Anyway, the Dragonborn will be present at the Fall of the Blue Palace, not to the Stormcloaks or Thalmor but into the sea...

I imagine though that the Dragonborn's actually future lies beyond Skyrim and perhaps even Tamriel. Not sure he is stupid enough to go to Atmora but Akavir could definitely be a destination. Or if he was feeling really adventurous, perhaps looking west across the Eltheric Ocean to the remnants of Yokuda or further south to Pyandonea.

I suppose though that it is possible that due to his interactions with the Daedra that the Dragonborn gets some kind of deal to extend his life, although I am not so certain he would want something akin to what is rumoured to have happened to the Hero of Kvatch.
