Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Well, a dishonest person you can always trust to be dishonest...

Also, Redoran are probably the more manipulatable of the Dunmer Houses. They're all about doing their duty to their clan, their family and their honour. If they can be persuaded that taking back Morrowind is the best way to do it, they damn well will.

It doesn't sound like too far of a stretch to me. I mean, what else are they going to do?

On the other hand, the Empire isn't above making deals with Molag Bal. Which they did in the second era. Genocide is evil, but so is making deals with the god of slavery.

I am not familiar with such an alliance... elaborate please.

Hammerfell is smaller than Skyrim but the map of Daggerfall is absurdly huge. As in, it's the size of Britain. Elder Scrolls 3-5 are tiny in comparison.

Damn, that must have been painful to play through.

That depends on what the first move is. If Thalmor were involved with the Great Collapse (a trial run, so to speak) they could do some severe damage to Skyrim, potentially putting an end to the war as soon as it begins.

Agreed, but I reckon the Nord's only hope would be to run them out early. Waiting a few years is only going to allow the Thalmor to build their armies more, and I doubt any recovery the cities of Skyrim can complete in that time will be enough to withstand a full blown Thalmor invasion.

I'm on my phone, so quoting isn't an option but...

"Cyrodiil is broken and destroyed – its history states that it made a pact to raise the undead to help defend against the other alliances," Matt Firor on Imperials calling on Malog Bal. Granted, it's from the second era (and the plot of ESO) but the empire isn't as pure and wholesome as it appears.

Daggerfell and arena were both notoriously buggy

Daggerfell and Arena were both notoriously buggy, due to the fact that they pushed hardware to the limit... Also Bethesda suck at QC. Fast travel is not optional in both due to the sheer size of the map.

The problem with making an early move against Thalmor is that by the time you realise one is needed you've missed your chance to make it.

It just occurred to me: being that Finals start this Friday and I'm only taking classes on Tuesdays and Fridays next semester (barring the off chance that I decide to take Chinese 103 pass/fail), tomorrow will be the last Monday of college classes ever for me. Awesome.

Well the Empire has plenty of dark spots in their history, but they've never been genocidal as far as I know.

What is QC? Either way, I'm surprised that ES 3-5 were made given those other two games were so buggy.

Except that the Stormcloaks are going to want the Thalmor, the people the forbade the worship of Talos in the first place, out as soon as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if that was priority number one for Ulfric.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Ulfric was just power hungry. If he truly wanted Thalmor presence out of Skyrim he wouldn't have made so many strike against the Empire. His actions only weakened the Empire and as a result lead to increased Thalmor power.

Anyone like the Lord of the Rings? I gotta rewatch that saga before I see the Hobbit.

Love the LotR movies, naturally. Probably gotta say 1, 3, 2 in order of best to worst, but they're all pretty damn fantastic. I'm very excited for The Hobbit, which I will be seeing on Christmas Day.

I think I maybe the only person on the planet (or at least in this thread) that hates those damn movies

The fuck's wrong with you? I'm pretty sure we've discussed this before, but those movies are all sorts of awesome.

I went out and got the book for the Hobbit, it's been since like 6th grade, since i've read it. So I got it to freshen up on my Hobbit, lol.

Yeah man, it's been a loooong time since I've read The Hobbit, though there are a few parts that still stick out in my memory. My favorite part when I read it was the part where the trolls discuss how they want to eat Bilbo and wind up getting into a fight with each other.

Have you read the Silmarillion? I was disappointed Morgoth didn't make it to the BZT; maybe next year.

I have not, and Morgoth might be the type of character that could work, but he's a little too outside the box. Hell, I had to look him up to respond to this.

Yazloz, tell Andrew Luck to cut the picks out, please. Between him and Brees I had 8 picks on the team I've been keeping up with (totally forgot about the WZ leagues).

Yes they did. Tiber Septim (aka Talos) used a fucking giant stompy robot powered by the heart of the man who gave him control of Morrowind to eliminate anyone who wasn't on his side. Talos was a fucking dick, by the way. As in, he Macbethed his way to the Ruby Throne, forced his mistress to have an abortion alongside his use of the Numidium.

What is QC? Either way, I'm surprised that ES 3-5 were made given those other two games were so buggy.

Quality Control. And yeah, they nearly weren't. ES1 was popular, but not massively so, ES2 wasn't, the two spinoff games nearly bankrupted the company. Bethesda was only around to make the rest of their games because they got bought by ZeniMax.

Except that the Stormcloaks are going to want the Thalmor, the people the forbade the worship of Talos in the first place, out as soon as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if that was priority number one for Ulfric.

They are, but they aren't going to be in prime position to do that after fighting a bloody war. The Imperials aren't getting kicked out over night, after all. And there's also the possibility of Thalmor making their first move before the end of the war, enabling them to render nobody with a vested interest in Skyrim in position to stop them.

This would explain why you started McFaddan (out), Fred Davis (who's been on the IR for weeks now), & Brandon Lloyd, giving me possibly the easiest win all year, I'm currently up 143-49. You still have hope though, RGIII could go crazy tonight & give you 100 fantasy pts.:lmao:

I beat JGlass in the ESPN leauge, which I beleive he's said he stopped paying attention to weeks ago, so this is no surprise. The Match with Yaz was neck to neck right now, but in the end I'll be walking away with the win, I'm currently up 129-127, I still have Bradshaw to play tonight & I think he's done.

This is only like the second or third time I've gone 3-0 in fantasy. Feels pretty damn good.

Man the Yahoo League is perhaps the toughest league between this one and my friends league. 7 out of the 12 teams are going to end up 8-5 heading into the postseason, the playoffs are going to be crazy fun to watch.

I have the most fantasy pts. total for the year in both Yahoo leagues, yet in the large Yahoo league I could still potentially miss the playoffs.

I just yelled at for not calling someone who's number I don't even fucking have?
