Cody Rhodes is an excellant
I turned it on in hopes of seeing Punk, & got Stormtroopers, & giant turkeys dancing to fucking gagnum style. I want to punch my tv in the face.

I wish football would start already, I kinda bored.
Heard Stray Heart by Green Day for the first time this morning, absolutely loving it. Glad they seem to be past their preachy/ranty stage now as their mellower romantic side is a lot easier to listen to.
Jive turkeys, hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. To all my UK buddies, I hope you had a good day regardless.

This Jets game is so hilariously bad. I might take to my room and play Age of Empires instead.

I actually watched the Michael Jackson special on ABC instead of the football. Extremely fascinating stuff, and I don't even like Michael Jackson, musically or as a human being. In fact, I find it pretty despicable that we still celebrate a man who was an obvious pedophile, but you can't deny that the guy was talented and interesting.
I think he was a total pedophile but that doesn't take away from his musical ability. I'd argue he was the greatest entertainer of all time. That is just how shit works though. In time we tend to forget that famous/great people had flaws. Hell we live in a country whose Declaration of Independence was written by a man who not only owned slaves, but often had sex with them.
Like a short while ago when Lawrence Taylor was accused of raping that girl, people wanted him kicked out of the HOF. I'm not here to argue if he did or didn't rape her, but he was elected into the HOF for being one of, if not the greatest linebacker of all time, not for being an upstanding citizen. We should celebrate and remember men and women who accomplish great things, but we shouldn't treat them like bronzed Greek gods and forget they had flaws.
It seems like the Ancient Greeks were acutely aware that their gods had many flaws judging by the stories.
I don't think they should be idolized either, I just don't think that the joy they get/got out of touching kids takes away from their talent. Currently I am in love with Andrew Luck, the dude is so talented so far its unreal. I badgered Theo to come out of sig retirement to hook me up. If Luck came out tomorrow and said he enjoyed JOing to 12 year kids, I would stop holding him in high regard, but I wouldn't stop saying he was talented.
It seems like most people only get remembered for the good shit, or the bad shit. Like no one ever remembers that Nixon was the guy who opened trade relations to China.
Not often is a blowout fun to watch. I thank the Jets for being so hilariously bad. They should just roll with the circus team vibe and start intentionally doing ridiculous shit. All they care about is PR anyway, nothing will make them more famous than being a Benny Hill style football team.
Also, I'm pretty sure RGIII is an Android.
That's certainly an interesting, and as far as I can tell a legitimate point. JFK was a tremendous womanizer, but you never hear anything but good things about him. Jefferson owned slaves and made them have sex with him, but he's still a national hero. The list could go on and on I'm sure, but I guess in the end the positives outweigh the negatives, no matter how ugly those negatives are.
I can't really look at Michael Jackson as I would if he hadn't been a pedophile, just as I can't look at OJ Simpson as being an excellent football player after what he did (as if anybody even doubts it anymore). I can't deny that they're both talented, but there's a definite blemish on both of their legacies -- OJ moreso than Michael, but that's beside the point. Talent doesn't supersede the lack of character in either case, though.
Were they pedophiles?
