"Hi, Brother of Arkay. Follow me to a feast we are going to have in your honour..."

Most of the Daedric artefacts are pretty useless or underpowered, although I do have Volendrung and the Sanguine Rose close to hand on all occasions as well as Azura's Star and the Masque of Clavicus Vile.

Oh how fun the quest for the Masque of Clavicus Vile was.

I was watching MLP reruns earlier, and after MLP is over Super Hero Squad is on. It is an okay show, it is designed toward kids...says the man who watches MLP...but it isn't bad. The Hulk is always Hulk, Bruce Banner doesn't exist, and Hulk is basically a giant green downs baby. Wolverine is much less of a hard ass and much more of a team player, and some of the villains are different. Like MODOK is more like Krang and Dr. Doom is just a weird foreign guy. Also Abomination is normal size.

The thing that distracts me the most of that Tara Strong voice Twilight in MLP and she voices Scarlet Witch on the show, and she uses the exact same voice.

Just managed to get the Oblivion Walker achievement in TESV, even though I have yet to reforge the dagger of Mehrunes Dagon. Ended up taking advantage of a glitch during Ill Met By Moonlight, where you get the choice of saving a werewolf from hunters to get the Ring of Hircine or kill the werewolf to get Savior's Hide.

I helped the werewolf escape, was given the ring by Hircine but then the werewolf walked right by me when he shouldn't have. I slaughtered him with Volendrung and skinned him for my 15th Daedric Artefact.

I must say that the quest to get the Ring of Namira is pretty grim.

I don't think you need every Daedric Artifact to get that achievement, just 15, and I believe there are 17 or 18 overall, and getting both from the Hiricine quest is probably counts for 2.

It certainly is.

That Oblivion Walker achievement is the last I've to obtain. I may wait a while longer then purchase the Dragonborn and Dawnguard DLCs. Thus getting myself back into Skyrim.

Oh that's right, you PS3ers are yet to get Dawnguard. That one has some really difficult challenges, like killing a legendary dragon (they don't appear until you're level 70 or something), and gaining level 11 Werewolf/Vampire abilities. Those are particularly hard because staying as a Werewolf/Vampire is not particularly advantageous in combat, but fortunately my game has a weird glitch where it claims my character has consumed a heart to progress his werewolf skills even though he's still in human form.

I saved that jive fool's ass and slaughtered the Namira gang.

If you're into playing as a werewolf the Ring of Hiricine is crucial, and the Saguine Rose is great for summoners. Volendrung is a nice artifact until you are able to craft daedric and dragon bone (and perhaps even ebony) weapons and stick two enchantments on them. Mehrune's Dagger is great for stealth characters with a penchant for double dagger usage, and Azura's star is a must for anyone with any interest in enchanting. Oghama Infinium is easily the best artifact as it gives you +5 points across an entire skill type (Warrior, Thief, or Mage). The Mace of Molag Bal has two very good enchantments and is tied with dragonbone mace for the most powerful one handed weapon, Dawnbreaker is phenomenal at getting rid of the undead, Ebony Mail provides terrific defense while muffling the user and causing poison damage to anyone that tries to hit you with melee damage, and Spellbreaker will block against both physical and magical attacks. And you have to give it back, but obviously the Skeleton Key is an awesome asset.

That leaves the Wabbajack, Skull of Corruption, Savior's Hide, Ebony Blade, Masque of Claudius Vile, and Namira's Ring for the less useless Daedric Artifacts.

I'm going to have do disagree with you on your original stance, Barbosa.

Along with the Skeleton Key, it was the one quest I was tempted to not complete. Barbas the Virtually Invincible Dog is a better Daedric "artefact" than the Masque

He's so annoying though, with his constant whining and what not.

Well, it looks like the JGlass American Tour is going to be postponed, I didn't get the job. I get the feeling me being from Boston was what really killed it for me because they never properly interviewed me.

Oh well, que sera sera and what not.

Good lord I have no idea what's going on in this thread these days. Nothing makes sense here...bit like this actually:

Thoughts on the GTA trailer?

Soooooo fucking sexy. I already love all three characters and can't decide which one I want to be. I'm thinking that I'll play as the rich guy first, the hick second, and the black guy third (not because I'm racist, but because he pretty much seems like he's CJ from San Andreas).

This one really just showed off the graphics and the characters, not much about the plot. I'm really looking forward to the trailer that reveals who the bad guys are and why each of these characters are getting involved with... whatever they're getting involved with.

This already has me more hyped than GTA 4. The way the stories could connect gives me a Pulp Fiction type feeling. I'm glad it doesn't give away the plot though, it's something trailers do all too often now a days. I'm kind of hoping of co-op but we'll see.

Yeah, you need 15 for the achievement. There are 16 Daedric Quests in Skyrim (there are technically 17 Daedric Princes) with the potential for 17 artefacts with the Hircine bug.

If you're into playing as a werewolf the Ring of Hiricine is crucial

I disagree. Grune is a werewolf and has no need of it.

the Sanguine Rose is great for summoners

Agreed.

Volendrung is a nice artifact until you are able to craft daedric and dragon bone (and perhaps even ebony) weapons and stick two enchantments on them.

I do like its stamina absorption enchantment.

Mehrune's Dagger is great for stealth characters with a penchant for double dagger usage

No need of it. If you are going down the cowardly stealth kill, be clever about it and use a bow so you can be cowardly from a long way away.

Azura's star is a must for anyone with any interest in enchanting.

Wouldn't call it a must.

Oghama Infinium is easily the best artifact as it gives you +5 points across an entire skill type (Warrior, Thief, or Mage)

This I will concede as useful. Unfortunately not re-useful (yeah, I made that word up but it fits)

The Mace of Molag Bal has two very good enchantments and is tied with dragonbone mace for the most powerful one handed weapon

I was tempted by the Mace of Molag Bal/Spellbreaker combo but one-handed combat is shite.

Dawnbreaker is phenomenal at getting rid of the undead

EVERYTHING if phenomenal against the undead. A gust of wind is phenomenal against the undead.

Ebony Mail provides terrific defense while muffling the user and causing poison damage to anyone that tries to hit you with melee damage

I'll stick to the defenses of my dragon armour. No need for stealth when you are an enchanted killing machine and if you find yourself needing the minor poison damage, then you are in the wrong business.

Spellbreaker will block against both physical and magical attacks.

A shield is for *****es.

And you have to give it back, but obviously the Skeleton Key is an awesome asset.

As I said, I was tempted to keep it but so high is my lockpicking skill and the added bonuses of necklaces/gauntlets, it really was not needed, especially at the expense of the rest of the Thieves Guild questline.

That leaves the Wabbajack, Skull of Corruption, Savior's Hide, Ebony Blade, Masque of Claudius Vile, and Namira's Ring for the less useless Daedric Artifacts.

I got the Masque very early on in my game so I found it useful heavy armour and for speechcraft. I still use it occasionally for better prices when I am selling the mountains of stuff I have accrued.

He's so annoying though, with his constant whining and what not.

This and his constant bumping into you was the reason I eventually sent him back to Clavicus.

Has anybody seen Skyfall yet? I went to see it yesterday and it was my first James Bond movie. Skyfall was decent. I gave it a solid B.

Went to see it yesterday too. Enjoyed it. A refreshing change from the normal "Bond searches for bad guy; Bond chases bad guy; Bond kills bad guy" formula

I don't know if I'd call it a bug as much as I'd call it an exploit.

I disagree. Grune is a werewolf and has no need of it.

It allows you more than one transformation a day. If you're a werewolf and want to be a werewolf all day long, you need the ring.

No need of it. If you are going down the cowardly stealth kill, be clever about it and use a bow so you can be cowardly from a long way away.

You can deal 15x damage with daggers, not to mention you can keep it out with a long sword too.

Wouldn't call it a must.

It's unbelievably useful and saves you lots of money.

I was tempted by the Mace of Molag Bal/Spellbreaker combo but one-handed combat is shite.

Unless you're a one handed character...

EVERYTHING if phenomenal against the undead. A gust of wind is phenomenal against the undead.

Clearly you haven't faced many Draugr Deathlords. Seriously, Dawnbreaker has extra effects against undead and then it spreads them to the other undead surrounding them even if you haven't touched them.

I'll stick to the defenses of my dragon armour. No need for stealth when you are an enchanted killing machine and if you find yourself needing the minor poison damage, then you are in the wrong business.

Your machismo blinds you to its usefulness. For the first time it makes heavy armor/stealth a viable option, and that poison helps chip away at enemies that you're not facing. You can be slicing away at one guy while still damaging another. That's efficiency.

A shield is for *****es.

The rest of the stuff you get for returning it is worth it.

I got the Masque very early on in my game so I found it useful heavy armour and for speechcraft. I still use it occasionally for better prices when I am selling the mountains of stuff I have accrued.

Eh, various Dragon Priest Masks are superior, and most helmets give you better defense and better perks.

I don't know if I'd call it a bug as much as I'd call it an exploit.

I suppose it is. The more straightforward way to get both is an exploit - you help Sinding, get the Ring and then go back and kill him. However, my experience was a bug as well. I saved Sinding, went outside to meet Hircine and while I was receiving the Ring, Sinding walked out of the cave passed us in full werewolf mode like nothing had happened...

It was like his bloodlust had taken hold immediately after claiming that he would avoid civilisation. I had to save civilisation from him...

It allows you more than one transformation a day. If you're a werewolf and want to be a werewolf all day long, you need the ring.

Being a werewolf is overrated.

You can deal 15x damage with daggers, not to mention you can keep it out with a long sword too.

I'd rather be bludgeoning someone to death.

It's unbelievably useful and saves you lots of money.

It's not unbelievably useful. It is reusable rather than vastly abundant soul gems that litter Skyrim.

Unless you're a one handed character...

If I was, the Mace would be my choice. Although Chillrend might be high up there too.

Clearly you haven't faced many Draugr Deathlords. Seriously, Dawnbreaker has extra effects against undead and then it spreads them to the other undead surrounding them even if you haven't touched them.

Just finished clearing Reachcliff Cave, which had at least six of them. No bother.

I might give it a go when it comes to the Dark Brotherhood but considering I do not sneak anywhere, it is not useful for me.

Yeah, but Cap, like a Spartan, does not use his shield solely for defense.

Eh, various Dragon Priest Masks are superior, and most helmets give you better defense and better perks.

Yeah, I still use Krosis' mask for the archery perk. Might have to upgrade to something else though as its usefulness is decreasing for me.

What a gentleman.

Agreed, but some RPGers might be going for more of a Werewolf feel to the game.

I'd rather be bludgeoning someone to death.

I'd rather be overwhelming them with my battleaxe as well, but one handed weapons have their upside too.

It's not unbelievably useful. It is reusable rather than vastly abundant soul gems that litter Skyrim.

Black and grand soul gems are a little harder to come by than most.

If I was, the Mace would be my choice. Although Chillrend might be high up there too.

I've been training my two handed character in one handed weapons (mostly just to level up so I can find a legendary dragon), and I've been using dragon bone weapons. I used to have Cillrend, but I can't seem to find what happened to it. I put my entire arsenal in the armory of one of my Hearthfire homes, and I did not count Chillrend among my many artifacts. I have an absurd amount of staves despite the fact I rarely (if ever) use them.

Just finished clearing Reachcliff Cave, which had at least six of them. No bother.

Yeah, but you have to be on level 50 by now at the very least. If you're in the 10-30 level range, Dawnbreaker is an awesome tool.

I might give it a go when it comes to the Dark Brotherhood but considering I do not sneak anywhere, it is not useful for me.

Yeah, but Cap, like a Spartan, does not use his shield solely for defense.

Neither do Skyrim shield warriors, shield bash is an awesome battle tool, there's a cut scene that shows you using the edge of the shield to slit your opponent's throat, and there are perks on the blocking skill tree that allow you to do a shield charge, much like Captain America.

Yeah, I still use Krosis' mask for the archery perk. Might have to upgrade to something else though as its usefulness is decreasing for me.

I'm fond of using Morokei for my Mage character. The 100% magika regeneration goes nicely with his Archmage's robes, as well as various other apparel that make him able to cast a shitload of spells without running out of magika. I think everything stacks up to something absurd like 250% magika regeneration.

It's really okay. I'll graduate on time now, which is just fine by me.

Screw them. Just show them up by doing your own thing and becoming rich. Make something Kevin Smith style by doing it without a huge budget or corporate types. If you ever need an FX guy, let me know. I havent blown anything up in a while & i miss it.

I know I'm late to the Eddie Guerrero discussion but I've always wonder if Eddie's drug problems had a lot to do with him not getting as many pushes as Benoit did when they both came in 2000. I would have loved to see Guerrero vs. HHH or Guerrero vs. Rock. I know both of these matches happened but it would have been cool to see Guerrero fight for the world title in 2000.

Oh I've got Xbox 360. It's just that I may wait for the Dragonborn DLC to come out before purchasing Dawnguard. Buy them both at once and I may even get Leviathan for Mass Effect 3 while I'm at it.

Interesting, but can't say it's a bad call. I've got an Argonian waiting to experience both Dawnguard and Dragonborn at once.
