Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

Man I got so excited when I heard Linda lost I had a heart attack, because I knew the Attitude Era was coming back and John Cena would be fired and all the PG kiddies would go away and my heart was like OMGWTFBBQ!!!! and crapped out on me.

Not really, but between doing volunteer work and starting up my job search I realized I've missed you crazy bastards.

It has been less than a week but I find myself at a complete loose end with something to write about everyday. Suppose that has basically been my life for the past seven years since I went back to university in 2005, what with essays, dissertations, a thesis, articles and a book.

Ah well. Might start some preliminary notes on my next project soon.

On the bright side, Grune the Destroyer has smashed through the 150 hour barrier. Only now finishing off the Thieves Guild quests. Still have not visited Morthal at all

My ex sent me a random text today saying that she lost custody of her daughter, & then went on to blame a friend of mine because he wouldn't let her move in with him, & then blamed me because I didn't try hard enough to convince him to let her move in. This girl had 3 months to find a "permanent residence", she could've applied for Low Income Housing assistance, she could've saved up her money & got a decent apartment, but no she decided she would rather get knocked up by her new BF within weeks of starting to date him, & sit home & smoke weed all day & hope that her friends would just bail her stupid lazy ass out of trouble, & then blame everyone else when shit didn't work out for her. Shit just pisses me off.

In other news I picked up Deadpool #1, read it, put it down & went "meh...". Story-wise it was very average, with a few chuckle worthy moments, art was by Tony Moore so as expected that was good. Overall I can't see this being a book I continue to pick up on a monthly basis, though I plan on sticking with it until this first arc is over.

There's really no reason to visit Morthal anyway. I just had this long paragraph typed up about what an awful place Morthal is, but then I realized I was talking about Markarth. It's been a while since I played, but with the new DLC due out in less than a month, I might have to blow the dust off the cover and break out Bronn's battle axe and Octavo's magical hands.

Doesn't she know Obama is still president? Handouts for everyone!

Seriously though, losing your child is probably among the worst things that can happen to a parent, so it makes sense that she's lashing out right now. Hopefully she'll get her shit together and be rational eventually.

Not everyone can be as awesome as Saboteur unfortunately.

I tried Googling it, but I got about three dozen posters that I've already seen/were irrelevant. However, I did see this earlier, and it looks awesome, but I reckon these will be three protagonists spread out across three games, much like the Niko, Johnny, and Luis were across the GTA IV series.

I don't think she likes Obama, though I'm not sure why, or if she even knows why.

This is why I never bothered to text her back, losing the kid sucks, & I truly feel bad that her daughter got taken away, but at the same time she had 3 damn months to get her crap together, & she blew it.

Hopefully she'll get her shit together and be rational eventually.

Doubtful, though I really do hope this acts as a wake-up call for her.

Resident Evil 5 is free this month on PS+, looks like I got another new game to add to my winter gaming list.

Yeah apparently you can switch from character to character whenever you want. Don't know how I feel about it but at least they're trying something new.

Also GTA V is suppose to have the biggest open world in any RockStar game including Red Dead Redemption.

The Game Informer article confirmed it -- I'm not pulling this outta my ass.

EDIT: Details here: http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/gta5/news/gta_5_all_the_game_informer_details.html

Yeah, I don't think I like this... nothing is going to suck more than having to play through the game as one character and then not being able to access the next mission because you have to play through 20 missions as this other guy, and then 10 missions as the third guy, and then you'll have to keep jumping back and forth between them to get shit done.

Unless it's all the same missions with a different character or something. That I can deal with.

It's same missions just through different perspectives from what I've heard. I don't believe they're forcing you to do everything with all the characters but who knows.

Well, that seems frivolous in that case, but acceptable. I guess they figure this is a fairly simple way to make players get a longer run out of the game as they'll be willing to play through the story with all three characters. Hell, I probably will and I don't even like this idea. I wonder if they'll come with different assets, like one will have longer stamina, one will get more money when completing missions, shit like that.

Markath is not that bad, although it is certainly the weakest of the five major settlements. There is plenty of interaction with numerous quests from other cities and even the main stories but its own quests are pretty weak.

The Forsworn Conspiracy had some real potential but once you break out of the mine, it falls completely flat. Should have led to a real blazing revolt across the Reach.

The Silver-Blood family should also have been used better. Rather than just having the Stormcloaks capture Markath, the Silver-Bloods and the Dragonborn could have led an silent pro-Ulfric/anti-Forsworn/anti-Thalmor insurrection with you having to persuade or remove numerous major persons across the city.

The map will be bigger than GTA IV, San Andreas and also Red Dead put together

What I suspect they'll do (or rather, what I would do) is have all three have their own story quests which (while overlapping) can be done completely separately. i.e. you can completely finish the main storyline with Character A without even touching Characters B or C. However, you'd be rewarded for doing all three by unlocking sidequests for other characters and/or slightly changing the other's missions (for example if Character A does a mission where he has to break into a warehouse to get something/kill people and Character B has to invade it for his own mission he'd encounter fewer enemies, but there'd be cops in the area which you have to avoid but not kill (which would be a fail criterion)).

Cyclops is getting a bit of a new look
