The whole movie is lulzy. I have no idea what they were thinking while doing it. It is so bad the guy who directed the original wanted nothing to do with it

I'm still hoping that this was a teaser, and not something that we'd see in the immediate future. I think Ryback's still too green.

I love the hell out of Ryback, but he is still too green. I'm hoping Cena isn't out longer than anticipated and they are bumping Ryback up to fill his role. I know that is unlikely, but I never put anything past the E these days. Hopefully it was just a short segment to further Ryback as a scary sum bitch

Yeah Ryback is still a little green, but I wouldn't complain. I'm on the KB boat of thinking that he should be champion come years end, but I'm biased. That guy is in my fave five. But the scary son of a bitch angle works well, just to keep him fresh in all levels of the WWE. Don't fuck with Ryback. I might be jumping the gun, but I could see WWE biting the bullet and giving him a dominant Rumble victory.

Kinda hard to say this, cause he is a awesome guy to the community, but Austin Collie, ye shall be missed this season, and I urge you to retire. Two major concussions in three three years and now a ruptured knee ligament.

Might I suggest you team up with Crock and form some sort of Mormon thing?

Ryback is clearly just there to keep Punk busy in the ring on Raw & at house shows till Cena comes back at HIAC. I'm guessing most of their matches will likely end in DQ's, or count outs, so to keep Ryback undefeated & looking strong, without making Punk look weak by getting squashed in seconds. I do think they should be sticking Ryback in a midcard feud with Miz or Cesaro right now instead but what are you gonna do?

I don't envy the refs in that came. It was a tough call to make, but they got it wrong.

As someone who had no stake in that game, though, I thought it was hilarious when one ref holds up TD and the other ref said interception. It's like something out of the WWE!

That call is the only thing on ESPN right now. I feel bad for the refs, because they aren't up to the task and are getting shit on. They are fucking up, but people act like proper refs never miss calls. They are doing a shit job, but they have no NFL experience.

People say the refs cost GB the game, normally I would say but what about the eight times Rodgers was sacked? Or point to another statistic, but the refs fucked up twice, the end play, and on the failed 2-point conversation.

In my own football news, fucking MJD man. That guys has run for 100+ yards against Indy 8 times in 13 games.

Javik is a good character in a real way in that he's a huge disappointment. You find a real Prothean and you expect it to be this noble alien that is a scientific and historical genius with answers to all of your questions. Then you find out his race were imperialistic monsters that force everyone else in the galaxy to either assimilate or die, and Jarvik himself knows very little about his own culture's history other than how they operated.

He's awesome to talk to though. His senses are fucking crazy cool, and his opinions about the modern space age can be anywhere from thought-provoking to hilarious. My favorite part is when you first meet him and he says something about Salarians being lizards.

Liara: I believe they're amphibians.
Jarvik: ...in my time they ate flies.

Pure hilarity.

I also always wondered why they chose to gave him an African accent. I wonder if it's a reference to the origin of man. We originated from the African content, and the origins of our advanced space travel is Prothean. That or they thought an African accent would be less silly than a Scottish accent.

The bolded part had me in stitches, Liara also gave an awesome expression of "really Javik?" afterwards. I really liked the African accent, felt 'twas a nice touch and a good way of making him feel different to everybody else. I'll admit that in my first ME3 playthrough I couldn't resist bringing him along all the time just to see people's reactions to a live Prothean, and his reactions to people of this cycle. His encounter with Padok Wilks was one of those awesome reactions. The whole Memory Shard thing with him in my first playthrough was a very tough decision.

Another great Javik line:

"Joker insisted on calling me Prothy the Prothean... I insisted on throwing him out the airlock".

Or something along those lines.

I didn't really see much humor in her in ME2, she was mostly just terrifying with moments of endearment, like after you do her loyalty mission. She's fantastic in ME3, though, easily the best former-crew mate you come across that doesn't board your ship (though Grunt gives her a run for her money).

Speaking of the crews in ME2 and 3, I thought it was a really nice touch than in ME2 they really set you up with the best of the best in terms of crewmates. You have the most powerful human biotic in the galaxy, an Asari Justicar, the doctor responsible for improving the genophage, the galaxy's greatest assassin, the deadliest sniper, the best Quarian tech, and a perfect Krogan.

In ME1 you really don't have any elite squad mates (Tali and Garrus were still honing their craft), and besides Tali and Garrus, EDI is really the only truly elite squad member, and that's because she's programmed to know like, everything.

I thought it was a nice touch that you're able to acquire all these unbelievably powerful allies through Cerberus, but doing things above board through the Alliance prohibits you from finding these powerful, but dangerous allies. This is especially apparent through the two DLC crew members in ME2, the galaxy's greatest thief and the guy who formed Eclipse. Not exactly the type of characters you want hanging out on the Alliance's best ship.

Grunt's appearance in ME3 is my favourite of all the former crew mates from ME2, I thought he was gone! Then he walks out of that cave like a boss. A boss covered in blood, but I suspect that would be very normal for Krogans of authority.

Zaeed formed the Blue Suns, but yeah, he's awesome. Definitely on my third tier of characters. Kasumi's cool too, considering her loyalty mission was a DLC, it was surprisingly touching. Same for all of them really. Recruiting all those amazing, in-depth characters in ME2 was very exciting for the first time. Seeing familiar faces along the way was also very cool, I remember recruiting Archangel and being like; "OH SHIT IT'S GARRUS!", then he almost died... or if you're optimistic, received a sexy scar. Sexy if you're a Krogan, that is. The team is so varied, and recruiting the best of the best makes it feels like you're taking a step up from ME1 in terms of scale, but really, you're not. In ME1, Saren & Sovereign were SO close to taking the Citadel and bringing the Reapers through Dark Space to harvest every known alien race. Then in ME2 you're destroying a Collector Station that abducted Humans. Only Humans. Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fucking Humans, but 'twasn't the threat that Sovereign was. Yet, it felt bigger. Truly great work from BioWare. EDI wasn't on the Normandy in ME1, she was a rogue A.I that you had to stop on Luna. The only elite squad member for me in ME1 was Wrex, but he wasn't even elite really, just experienced. Did you ever hear that story about his father?

Kaiden is a better character than Ashley in almost every way. Ashley has her things that make her interesting, no doubt, but of all the characters you get to know (including people like Treynor, Aria, Victus, etc.) she is among the least interesting.

Would you say that Ashley's the least interesting character of the trilogy? Because I'd rank her above Jacob and James. Of course I'm not counting guys like Shamesh Bhatia or Conrad Verner when I ask you that.

It's hard not to like the suicide mission. The final mission (before the boss battle anyway) in ME1 is fantastic as well, as is the final mission in ME3 (before the painfully slow part, which is still good but it doesn't require much skill obviously).

That's another huge credit to the ME series, all of their final missions are fantastic and have a feeling of finality to them. Skyrim's final (main storyline) mission left me wanting more, but after any of the ME final missions you can't help but feel relieved and accomplished.

I completely agree. Skyrim's main storyline quest for me was far from the best questline in the game and was just that, underwhelming. I'll take Mass Effect over Elder Scrolls, I'll admit that Elder Scrolls are probably better games and have better gameplay with the whole open world thing. But the Mass Effect story is so much more compelling, and has in-depth characters. That's not a criticism to Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect 2 is my favourite game ever.

So apparently I missed the game last night because I forgot and was busy watching RAW. Exactly when did the NFL employ Vince Russo to write their storylines? This shit is crazy.

On the radio they were talking about how great it would be if all the real ref's were secretly behind all this and are paying off the new guys to screw up. This would be hilarious. Likely very untrue, but hilarious none the less.

It's unbelievable how well they write comedy in Mass Effect. They manage to make some very funny jokes without making it ever detracting from the graveness of the mission.

And yes, Javiik's terribly depressing existence of being the only Prothean in the entire galaxy is offset nicely by the fact that he's hilarious.

Grunt's appearance in ME3 is my favourite of all the former crew mates from ME2, I thought he was gone! Then he walks out of that cave like a boss. A boss covered in blood, but I suspect that would be very normal for Krogans of authority.

Definitely! I was certain that when I chose to save the Queen that the entire Krogan squad would die, and it seemed like Shepard did too... but then Grunt comes stumbling out (as you said, drenched in blood) and Shepard's eyes light up. Of course, he wouldn't be a Krogan if he didn't drop a badass line... "I'm hungry!"

It truly painted out elite Grunt was and how he was indeed the perfect Krogan.

Zaeed formed the Blue Suns, but yeah, he's awesome. Definitely on my third tier of characters. Kasumi's cool too, considering her loyalty mission was a DLC, it was surprisingly touching. So much to cover in here, haha.

Zaeed is okay, his loyalty mission is pretty bad ass, but he's kind of an asshole. Definitely the biggest jerk on your crew.

Kassumi drives me nuts because it always seems like she's simply around just to be a typical "quirky Asian girl" character. However, her loyalty mission is unbelievably good, and probably the best non-combat centric mission in the trilogy (not that there are many to begin with, I can only think of Kasumi, Thane, and Samara's loyalty missions). That brings me to another point altogether...

The Loyalty missions were awesome. In most games where you have to earn a character's trust or something they make you find them something or kill someone from their past. In Mass Effect 2 they make you track down an abandoned father that has turned into an island overlord and used the local flora to make his crew into his mindless slaves. Or you have to help a mother kill her daughter because it's part of her code. Or you have to help someone learn to control themselves by taking place in some sort of manhood ritual. Just another example of why the ME series is so great.

And finally: yeah, the ability to build the story up from big to bigger to huge was phenomenal, as was the continuity they put through every game. Sometimes it's small things like Garrus's continued journeys, or sometimes it's something awesome like EDI being the rogue Luna VI.

Would you say that Ashley's the least interesting character of the trilogy? Because I'd rank her above Jacob and James. Of course I'm not counting guys like Shamesh Bhatia or Conrad Verner when I ask you that.

I don't think we need to speak in Spoilers for this part anymore, lulz. I'd put Ashley below Jacob for sure, maybe not James. Jacob is interesting because of his journey as a character and his relationship with his father. James is a little more difficult, but if you get to learn about him you'll see he's not as shallow as it seems. He has a very sad back story where he made a tough decision, and it turned out to be the wrong one. He also has the tough outer shell but he comes to Shepard for advice time and time again. His relationship with Cortez is also pretty interesting.

I completely agree. Skyrim's main storyline quest for me was far from the best questline in the game and was just that, underwhelming. The only part of Skyrim's final mission that I really liked was the location. It was beautiful and the battle's setting felt epic, but the battle itself was just another typical fight, except you had 3 very powerful allies helping you.

On the radio they were talking about how great it would be if all the real ref's were secretly behind all this and are paying off the new guys to screw up. This would be hilarious. Likely very untrue, but hilarious none the less.

Hey Jglass what are your thoughts on CM Punk currently? I know that before Summerslam you weren't happy with how he was working out as a tweener type character but obviously things have changed. What are your thoughts on his full on heel character + Heyman?

I have a few WWE themes in my music library and as I was driving earlier, Slow Chemical came on. I forgot how badass that song was. I'm sure you'd agree.

Well I would say I was more unhappy with how people were calling him a Tweener when it seemed to me that he was a flat out heel. I dug the character, but I felt things needed to be worked out.

Luckily they were, and now he's the best heel in the WWE. On top of that, the Heyman angle seems to have layers to it, a rare sighting in the professional wrestling world. This is also the first time that I've really wanted Punk to drop the belt badly. Between putting him against a great face in Cena and making him a great heel with one of the best heel accomplices of all time, they have put together a real enjoyable feud here. Too bad it won't last any further than TLC, or whatever comes before Rumble.
