Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

I talk about far more than history. Video games, WZCW, sports and occasionally weekend escapades come into the equation regularly.

Even though I'm not really limited, I much prefer talking about 4th and 5th generation consoles.

So I just got back from seeing the Hangover 3 in theaters with a few of my friends, and quite honestly, it's funny but you can wait for it to come out on DVD before seeing it.

I was thinking about going to see it on Wednesday with my friend when tickets are 5 bucks. Is it worth the 5 bucks?

The only movies coming out within the next month that I want to see are Kings of Summer, Man of Steel, This is The End, and MAYBE The Internship, Bling Ring, and World War Z, but those would all be second parts of double features.

This Is The End looks hilarious. I wanna see Grown Ups 2 as well although I have a feeling it will suck compared to the first one.

Have any of you ever snuck into a different movie before or after the one you paid to see? I did once cause the theaters website was fucked up and basically my friends and I were like 3 hours early for our movie so while 1 of my friends played in the arcade, our other friend and I went for a walk and ended up sneaking into a theater and watching whatever was playing.

Nobody said anything to us so it was nice watching 2 movies for the price of 1 ticket.

Yeah, that's what I call a double feature. I do it all the time. It's good for seeing movies I have no interest in paying to see, like The Interns or World War Z.

I didn't know if your theater offered 2 for 1 deals. :p

Our theater (I have two near me but one is 15 minutes away with many places to eat on the same road and the other is a half hour and in the middle of fucking nowhere so guess which one we go to.) is crazy expensive. 10.50 each for tickets, 5 bucks for candy, 5 for soda, 5.50 for pretzel bites, which they just changed so you get frozen cheese instead of warm liquid cheese and less pretzel bites. What's funny is the old pretzel bites were 4 bucks too.

Doc's roommate stories from last year are much more interesting.

Never forget. Even when my roommate is great, I still end up with a ridiculous college story. Case in point: The people upstairs breaking their toilet and flooding my bathroom.

Probably gonna see Fast 6 sometime this weekend, but really the next movies that I really want to see this summer are Man of Steel, Elysium, & Pac Rim.

I have very little interest in WWZ, it just looks like a movie that is gonna rely waaaaay too much on it's crappy CGI.

Oh man, I totally forgot about that. Dorm living does not seem to agree with you.

Yeah, that's why it would be the second part of a double feature. I took a look at the zombies in the movie, and they look horrible. They basically look like normal people with blood around their mouths and maybe slightly paler skin. It's probably not going to be very good, but I like Brad Pitt and zombie movies, so I figure why not?

And yeah, Elysium looks awesome, right up my alley. At the risk of being crucified by Sam, I'm not really looking forward to Pacific Rim, but I might see it.

Fast Six is slightly better than Fast Five, which in my opinion was the best Fast & Furious film. That doesn't mean Fast Six was exactly outstanding, Vin Diesel's antics were fucking ridiculous in this one.

Oh yeah, a question for all of my fellow DBZ fans; Just finished watching an episode the other day, and in it Piccolo destroys the moon to prevent Gohan from fucking everything up as a great ape. But wasn't the moon already destroyed (or at least damaged enough to prevent Goku from fucking shit up as an ape) by Jackie Chun in Dragonball? When did the moon get fixed? Did I miss something or was this one of those DBZ plot holes I've heard of?

Yeah, I think it was an oversight. I'm not sure but I think Goku mentions something about the moon being able to be restored after his tail was removed prior to the 23rd Tournament.

That sums up almost every Vin Diesel movie ever made ever.

I hope you're right. Noticing that put a dent in my nostalgia-filled viewing marathon.

Pacific Rim basically looks like a mecha anime, but live action.

So basically, right up my alley.

Speaking of anime, even if you're not an anime fan, check out Attack On Titan. One of the most intense shows I've watched. Basically, the last of humanity is trapped inside a walled cities because giants of an unknown origin have taken over the outside world. Plot twist after plot twist, and the animation is gorgeous. Only eight episodes are out so far. Highly recommended.

And you really need to get round to watching the best movie of 2012:
