Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

I like Richie Steamboat. He is sexy, and that appeals to me.

Riley, I have no idea how he gets a face pop. I guess it is because the last time he did anything relevant it was when he was feuding with the whiny heel Miz, and people hate that Miz. I'm not sure why there are a decent portion of guys in the non spam who thinks he deserves a push.

Is Riley still employed? The only thing I liked about him was his theme.

I think it's the same reason why you like Richie Steamboat, he's very handsome.

He's a better promo guy than Alberto, so it shouldn't limit him to a dumb muscle role.

I reckon lots of guys on NXT are already better promo guys than Delberto.

Lucky is awful, was largely carried by Sandow and Maxine during his run at the top. However, I will give him credit where it's due for his run as top heel of FCW (yeah, it happened. It was a step up from the last two: Mason Ryan and Byron Saxton). The fact that he was a worthless pretty boy was made bearable by the fact that he was playing a worthless pretty boy and being a cowardly piece of shit. It was effective, and when Bo finally won the title it was a pretty awesome sight as they'd been building him up as the guy for months which a hell of an investment in FCW terms.

Lucky had a run at the top? He was always awful. And Byron Saxton was a top heel on FCW? FCW was all messed up, wasn't it?

It helped that his first challengers were Sandow and Kruger who each hid his weaknesses well.

Man, Sandow is pretty great, isn't he? I sincerely hope both he and Cody have great singles runs following Rhodes Scholars.

Maybe he likes WWE .

There's something to be said for the WWE style and being able to travel the world and enjoy the other benefits the WWE offers, but I think most wrestlers just want to do everything they can to entertain, and if Riley thinks there's an opportunity to do that in TNA I don't see why he wouldn't take it.

Is Riley still employed? The only thing I liked about him was his theme.

He did have a kick ass theme.

Know the Fairytale of New York? They sang that.

I am not familiar with that song. But you gotta keep in mind, there's not a lot of Christmas music being played around my house.

Then if we consider how highly he has risen on the roster, it's hardly fair to write of Kruger as being dumb muscle.

Yes. This was at the time when every single good wrestler that was in FCW had been called up by NXT. Byron Saxton who was a face commentator turned heel by hitting Johnny Curtis (top face at the time) with a roll of quarters. When he tried doing that shit again Abe Washington tried to stop him and got hit in the face with a roll of quarters for his troubles. Saxton also turned Ryan face in the same way.

If you're wondering, it was exactly as bad as that sounds.

I don't mean that's his roll now, I mean that that would likely be his role if/when he breaks onto the WWE roster. He's already pretty old, and it's going to take him a while to become established in a more complex role. Dumb muscle could make use of his size and talents without spending too much time on a serious build.

Yeah... thank goodness we're onto NXT now.

I don't think he'd need that much building to succeed on the roster. Guy's 33, but he's also got 15 years of experience and knows how to get his shit over.

It got better. There's a reason why NXT: Divas edition existed.

I liked Byron Saxton a lot during his season of NXT. Speaking of that season of NXT, that was when I sort of first became a Ziggler fan. He was fucking hilarious on the mic, he would just take potshots at the show the whole time -- it was gold.

Yeah, the last time I found Saxton tolerable was when Barrett was sitting next to him on commentary. Shite in the ring, shite on commentary. Good talker on his own though.

I love how Firefly is so high up on the list when it hasn't been on the air in what, a decade?

Bronies being on top makes sense... but it makes me sad.

Whedon has a big following, but Firefly being on the list surprised me. I think Buffy still comes on some stations as late night reruns but Firefly has been off TV a while.

I just want Justin to read it so I can give him shit on MLP being #1 compared to Walking Dead being #3. I love fucking with that man.

Get to meet Twins manager Ron Gardenhire next month. I want to ask him why the Twins refuse spend ANY money & go after talented players that can help them win NOW.

I'm not shocked, but happy to see TWD & Firefly at 3 & 4, would've liked to see SOA represented somewhere on the list & Breaking Bad a little higher though.

Must try harder.

Gardenhire is a good manager, he just gets stuck with one of the lower payrolls in the league each year. Another problem, I think, is some of the trades they've made in recent years didn't work in their favor. Like did anyone of value emerge from the Santana trade?

I'm predicting a bullshit answer.

I think you'll notice that a lot of the shows that are higher on the list are the ones with fans that struggle for legitimacy. Bronies obviously have a big struggle to overcome, Walking Dead has its detractors, and Firefly fans are still clamoring about its unjust cancellation. Breaking Bad has never had to face the adversity many of the top shows have, and I'm pretty sure the same can be said for SoA, though I'm not as familiar with that show's broadcast history.

SoA isn't as popular as it is good. I'm not going to preach that everyone should watch it, but it deserves more viewers.

Plus everyone needs to take in as much Ron Perlman as they can.
