Staying up all night in an attempt to sleep on the train was probably not a great idea. I'm pretty good about sleeping in just about any situation, but trains provide a particular challenge. The extra legroom an Acela train provides you is a mixed blessing since one of my favorite techniques is to lean on the seat in front of me and sleep that way, but now the seat is to far away and leaning forward is very awkward. I've been rocking the coat-pillow on the tray technique for most of the ride.
Still, it was nice to be reunited with my XBox after so many days of a self-imposed video game fast. I didn't get around much, just played Ultimate Team Mode in Madden, but had a blast. Made some upgrades to my O-line, D-line (Geno Atkins FTW), and I padded my reserves for when my players contracts run out (Miles Austins will be replaced by Jeremy Maclin eventually). I still desperately need a running back after Ryan Matthews just ran out of contracts and I'm using Ben Tate again.
Justin, you'll be pleased to know that Randall "It's Cobberin' Time" Cobb has made his way onto my team as my 4th WR (behind Greg Jennings, Miles Austin, and Devry Henderson), and he is kicking all sorts of ass. In the last game I played he had something like 4 receptions for 70 yards, including one huge 3rd down conversion where he dove for the ball and rolled his way past the first down line to convert. I'd move him up to the the nickel option, but he's doing so good at dime that I can't bring myself to do it! I get about 300 YPG in the air every game (which is great considering the short quarters), and the yardage is split pretty evenly between my 4 WRs and 2 TE threats (Greg Olson and Chris Cooley. Yeah, Chris Cooley.). I'm excited to see what will happen when I get an elite QB under center instead of Ryan Fitzpatrick. I have Alex Smith waiting in reserves, but I'm not too keen on him either. If I get my team up to a 92 overall I can play for a Joe Montana card. I want that card.
