in a Ladder match. McIntyre and Hardy have been feuding since WrestleMania when Hardy "cost" him the briefcase. Hardy has been working his ass off and carying McIntyre through the matches they've been in together (MITB, last SmackDown, McIntyre's second unofficial loss, etc.). He's shown another side of him ever since WrestleMania and McIntyre hasn't defended his Championship since 2 weeks before WrestleMania to the jobber and 1 month has passed since then. This match was freakin sick, better than what I've seen recently. I think Hardy deserves at least the Intercontinental Championship. They've been on each others throat since Mania and what better way to settle this than a Ladder match, the match that Matt was part of making famous and the match that started this feud. Plus Matt Hardy (without Jeff, fuck Jeff) gets like the biggest crowd reactions in the WWE, you can't argue with that. So what do you think of this?

I feel like Matt's last name is the only reason Vince hasn't dumped him yet. I will say that the last match the two had was fairly entertaining. I remember this because I don't say that about Matt's matches often. But he's good filler for Smackdown and that's all he needs to be.

I actualy agree with you, that could be a good match (not like 4 star match but you know). What I don't like is how WWE has stars like matt hardy and kane who have been around for over a decade and there both midcarders, and I even know poeple who calim kane is a jobber. You have people like that who have been around for ever and you just throw belts on people with connections, a little disapointing if you ask me.
I think Hardy should get the title at Extreme Rules. McIntyre has not fan reaction and his mic skills are horrible. He got his push way too early and it is time to put the belt on someone that the fans like. Then let Hardy feud with someone new from the draft and then the Intercontinental Title will gain new interest again. It has been one of the most popular belts in WWE History and it has garnered minimal attention from the higher ups lately just because it is a midcarder title, which is unfortunate and I hope changes soon.
You see, mrsavagelife, the smart thing to do is elevate Matt to the level beyond where Jeff has been in the WWE since Jeff is in TNA,the barely competition to WWE. As one Hardy (Jeff) is being used for a crap storyline in TNA, the other Hardy can be elevated to World Championship status and be a fucking serious contender for the World Title, not some fucking jobber to McMahon's/HBK's dick sucker. Right now, Jeff has been talking about bringing Matt to TNA. Does McMahon want that? I doubt that, because why the fuck would Jeff come back to the WWE if his bro isn't there?

I think Matt winning the belt would be a good idea. Now, I'm a huge Hardy mark so my opinion is skewed, but I feel that since McIntyre won the belt there hasn't been much emphasis on it and its profile has dropped. Having Matt win can get him back up to a higher midcard status, and I feel that after a few months McIntyre can win it back. I think McIntyre is a decent wrestler, but there just hasn't been much reason for me to care about his IC title run, and a little switch up in champion I think would benefit everyone involved.

I agree that they should give the title to hardy, because not only can it benefit hardy but it could also benefit mcintyre. Let's say Matt wins it from mcintyre at Extreme rules then automatically gives the belt some much needed popularity, then have him continue the fued with mcnityre for a month or so then eventually have mcintyre win it back. That would boost mcintyre because he won it from somebody popular, and it would help hardy move closer to the main event scene.
I'm not saying I know that's gonna happen, But I certainly hope it does. Because even though I am a HUGE hardy fan, I also happen to like drew mcnityre as well. I want both of them to be sucsessful.

Umm, actually it's pretty easy to argue against Matt Hardy getting the biggest crowd reaction...because he doesn't. Not even close. There are plenty of face wrestlers who get far bigger pops than him, including Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, John Cena (sometimes), Edge, Christian, HHH, John Morrison, Kane, and the most obvious, Randy Orton. Matt Hardy might get a pop equal to some of these guys, but not a better one. And some of those guys get a bigger pop night in and night out, no question.
I just don't see this fire burning inside of Matt Hardy that you do. I have watched every episode of Smackdown since Mania, and I don't see it. The only difference I see is that Hardy is now involved in an ACTUAL feud, as opposed to teaming with Khali or some junk like that.
Hardy is in a better spot than he was before Mania, but that really doesn't mean much. He is there, as a veteran, to put over the young guy, McIntyre. I'm not a huge Drew fan either, but the WWE is pretty high on him. Hardy might get some pinfalls over him, hell, he might even with the IC title. But Drew is going places, and seems to be going...nowhere, as usual.

Ok heres my opinion. Matt sucks. Dont get me wrong but he isnt very charasmatic, his mic skills are minimal and there is no way he is drawing enough money to warrant a World Title. Now I understand you are talking about the IC title here and Matt is very loyal to the WWE but lets face it. He is loyal because the E is paying 5x as much as he could get in TNA. Matt is a veteran who is there to put over young talent and groom them in to better ring wrestlers. Does he DESERVE the IC Title? Yes, but should the E give it to him? No. Give it to someone who needs the push, like well no one on Smackdown. Move the title to Raw and give it to Sheamus, MVP, or even Christian for now. Have Miz lose the US title to Kofi and move him to Smackdown in the draft, cuz Im tired of Kofi. But these are just my opinions...so there.

I would like to see someone take the intercontinental title from Drew. I really don't care who it is. I don't get what Vince sees in that guy, he doesn't wrestle all that well and he gets no crowd reaction. I would like to see a Hardy title run as I truly do believe Matt has more passion for the business than Jeff ever will. Matt deserves something for his dedication. However Matt has taken up a new role now like that of Regal and Kane. Matt's there to help the new talent and I don't see him going anywhere else.

That is what makes me so mad about the wwe, Matt has be very loyal to it he has never failed a drug test he never misses an event yet the wwe is willing to give it rey who has failed many of times and as much as i hate to say it because i love jeff to but jeff. Jeff has failed many drug test been released, suspended and has jumped ship twice now and has won the wwe and whc 3 times together and if he came back they would give it to him again. I dont understand when you have loyal good employees who live and breathe the company get passed by every chance they get. It is really sad and matt hardy should atleast get the IC title

Matt Hardy is good in ladder matches and has a lot of experience, Drew doesn't, so Matt will most likely be carrying Drew through the match. Matt should get a title run if only to make the storyline interesting, McIntyre hasn't had a meaniful feud since he won the belt. Having Matt win it will get people more interested in Matt and also to see what Drew will do afterwards.

Matt Hardy is Long over due for a title run. I hate the way the WWE boost a star (for instance the ECW world title and now a jobber most of the time)and then within a few weeks they are jobbing or teaming with with a "bottom" carder in my book and people just lose interest in stars if they have no story to go along with their character. Matt Hardy is a Great wrestler and deserves to be a champion, And I think the WWE should give him a IC title run. This guy has all the experience to be a Great champ, If they would give him a Good stoyline to work with.

I don't understand why all of you think he "deserves" these fantasy pushes. How many chances do you expect the WWE to take on this guy?? Besides tag team, he's a former US, Hardcore, ECW, European, and Cruiserweight champion. And how many of those title runs were successful? BARELY ONE OF THEM... the Cruiserweight championship. And why? Because he had a great gimmick that lost its luster over time. He caught lightning in a bottle with his V1 gimmick and has completely plateaued and floundered ever since.
In the name of all that is holy, why the FUCK would the WWE decide to have Drew Mcintyre, an extremely prosperous rookie that is continuing to bring prestige to the IC title, lose it to a jobber for the last two years in Matt Hardy? And in a ladder match, to boot? Oh, I get it... because his gimmick from ten years ago was to be extreme and because he's taken a few cool bumps in the few ladder matches he's been involved in over the past few years... yeah, that makes sense.
Some guys just don't have what it takes to draw an audience. Sorry to say, but Matt is one of them. He's like Shelton Benjamin... he has a cult following and is good at what he does, but he's missing some severe, key elements in his playbook. Yes I think that putting the title on any hardy at the right time and it instantly raises credibility and makes people care about it, I remember we had the same problem were having now back in 07 I think when umaga had the title for so long but then they put it on Jeff and the title became big again, another example is Matt with the ECW title cause really can anyone really remember who was the champ before Matt? He also did it with the the US title aswell but then WWE ducked that up by giving it to Shelton Benjamin for absoloutley no known reason.
