A Post Is Worth A Thousand Words
I was reading through the above predictions, there's some good ones. But just to throw out a new idea/twist for consideration: it's been a while since they've had 2 simultaneous winners of the royal rumble. And I don't think they've done it since the double brands emerged. That could make things really interesting, since now the winner chooses the show that they challenge the champion on. What if there's 2 winners...do they both stay put? Do they both challenge the same champion? Or if they're from different brands, do they both jump ship to the other?
I'm not saying I predict a double winner, but it would be interesting and something they haven't done in a while and probably something no one would expect. If and when they go that route though, I sure hope they have a more creative final solution than a triple threat at wrestlemania
Well in 2005, Batista and Cena both went over at the same time...though if you notice, one of them clearly won (I forget who). Instead of classifying it as a double win, they made them get back in the ring and have another elimination, where Batista came out on top. I guess they're doing that from now on, though if they really wanted to change it up (like they do with the rules for a handicap match every other time, lol) then they could make it so if both people are from different brands (say, for instance, a Raw and a Smackdown guy both go over at the same time), then they both challenge the one from their roster.
Either way, I don't think they're doing that this time around. Undertaker/Edge isn't going to be a triple threat match cause that'd take away from it. Maybe Orton would have a triple threat match, but idk, they still haven't exactly shown where they're going with him, but it seems like the two most likely options are a Batista switch or to continue with Hardy (which I hope they do, unless he simply sucks at the rumble lol).
