Night_of_Champions_2008.jpg

Apparently this is the first official poster, but like last year they will probably change it to the new champions, etc.

I guess the card will be:

Undertaker vs. Edge (Last Chance for Edge)
Randy Orton vs. Triple H (Only if Orton wins the title back from Triple H at Judgment Day or ONS)
MVP vs. Matt Hardy (to end the feud)
Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Batista vs. Jeff Hardy(I guess Batista will be drafted to RAW)
Rhodes and Holly vs. "Cantino"
Morrison and The Miz vs. "Reject and Redneck"
Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin (?)
Mickie James vs. Melina vs. Beth Phoenix (Somehow they have to make the feud between James and Beth interesting, adding Melina to the match will make it more interesting)

I will be damned if Punk misses another PPV.

Weird thought, do they have to defend all the belts or just have all the champions in action. What if they do what they did like a year and a half ago and have all the champions in one match. A Triple H v. Edge v. Kane type match. I'm just saying Edge because I don't think Taker is getting the belt back after it got stripped for a couple months. So here's my card:

Champion of Champions match:
Triple H v. Edge v. Kane

Winner- Triple H after Undertaker interference. Then Punk cashes in the MITB on a bloddy edge and takes the WHC.

IC Title:
Jericho v. Michaels
I think the feud continues to this point and Jericho retains but is a completely heel by the end of the night

US title:
I might be nuts but.......
Matt Hardy v Big Show
Winner - Big Show by DQ after Khali, Henry and Big Daddy V come after Big Show

Raw Tag titles:
Carlito and Santino defend against Holly/Rhodes, Kendrick/London, Cryme Time, Highlanders and Burchill/Regal
I'm just throwing Burchill/Regal in there as a 6th cause I think this is going to be a tag team turmoil match and it works best with 6 and also I see a Burchill push as Regal's fellow Brit. I think Carlito and Santino retain.

Smackdown tag belts
Miz/Morrison v Ryder/Hawkins
Winner - Ryder/Hawkins win the belts not sure how but I think they take the titles

Women's Title
Mickie v. Beth
Winner - Mickie, she wins with some roll up and Beth keeps being mad

There are clear problems with this card I understand that because there are only 6 matches, but with the punk segment after and a tag team turmoil match I could see it going for 3 hrs, and that triple threat will prob go awhile

Way too early, since we don't even know Judgment Day's card yet, let alone One Night Stand's, but I'm going to predict some stuff anyway. What the hell, right? Lol Not like I lose any money.

WWE Championship - Triple H versus JBL or William Regal
--I can see Orton losing at JD, JBL being the gimmick match at One Night Stand, and Regal positioning himself for a title shot at Night of Champions, but still losing.

World Heavyweight Championship - Undertaker versus Edge or Umaga
--I can't see Edge and Undertaker having five consecutive ppv matches against each other, but you never know. If they don't, I think Umaga will be drafted to Smackdown and be the next feud for Taker, possibly winning a qualification match to do so.

ECW Championship - Kane versus ??
--No idea whatsoever. Hopefully, its not against Chavo, Neely, Henry, BDV, or Khali.

US Championship - Matt Hardy versus ??
--It'll probably be some shitty feud like Palumbo or Mike Knox or Kozlov or something.

Intercontinental Championship - Chris Jericho versus Elijah Burke
--I don't know. I have no reason to believe it, really, outside of that it would make sense to ship Burke to Raw into the midcard scene.

Raw Tag Team Championship - Rhodes/Holly versus Santino/Carlito
--That is, of course, if they drag it out that long. They should lose the titles beforehand, though, and if that happens, then I can see Carlito/Santino against London/Kendrick.

SD/ECW Tag Team Championship - The In Crowd versus Moore/Yang versus Jesse/Festus versus Edgeheads versus Deuce/Domino
--If this happens, I wouldn't be surprised if the Edgeheads stole the titles in a way. I'm hoping Edge goes back to Raw, though, and that they go with them, so who knows what the draft will do. No matter what, though, I don't think Morrison and the Miz are keeping their titles after this match. Miz needs to move on to feud with Hardy for the US title and Morrison needs to move on to the main event.

Women's Championship - Mickie James versus Melina
--Or possibly Beth Phoenix....or possibly Natalya....can't see anyone else. Mickie probably retains.

I think writing staff are going to have some major problems with the PPV as you are looking at not having some of the big stars in matches unless the force feed us again the fatal four way from Backlash for WWE title. If not where does that leave Cena, Orton, or JBL for this PPV. We all can assume eventually Regal will get a shot at WWE title but when is the big question and if they do it here then we get the situation above.

I haven't even mentioned likes of Batista and HBK unless they are feuding with Y2J still are not really in position for any title matches. Last year they got lucky in some sense that HHH, HBK, and Undertaker where all on the shelf for a little while so they could throw together some matches that where not done before.

Now that my rant is done the predictions
WWE Title: Defended in 6-Man Hell in the Cell
HHH vs Regal vs Cena vs Orton vs JBL vs Kennedy
The have qualifying matches to see who is involved in the match and of course Regal has the easiest one to qualify. I cant come up with any other way to include everyone and still not have a same match as before.

World Title:
Undertaker vs ?????
Until we know where this stripped of the title thing goes it wouldnt shock me if this ends up with Batista as a hired Gun to help the Familia or could this be a match for the vacant title with multiple wrestlers in the match like Show, Batista, MVP, Edge and Taker.

Women's Title
Mickie vs Beth vs Melina
This kinda got teased on Raw when Melina cost Beth the title, i think they will keep this little tease going over the next couple of months and have come full circle at NofC

Intercontinental Title
Jericho vs Jeff Hardy
Hardy makes his return and takes his return match for IC title but of course Jericho wins as I think the next IC champion will be CM Punk when they feel ready for him to take it.

US Title
Matt Hardy vs CM Punk
Ok this one might be a little out there but why not he eventually has to be show as strong possibility to be a eventually World title contender. Hardy will probably win, but wouldn't shock me if Punk did.

ECW Title
Kane vs Mike Knox
I think they will eventually have Mike Knox feud with Kane, as we know that they like the big guys in WWE and its someone who might be able to make Kane look beatable.

World Tag Titles
Carlito & Santino vs Cryme Tyme
Cryme Tyme has never got there shot at the gold even though they are officially should be the #1 contenders dating back almost a year. I know the popular would be a Tag Team Turmoil match or something like that.

WWE Tag Titles
Four Way Elimination Tag Team Match
Miz & Morrison vs D&D vs Fetus & Jesse vs Wang & Moore
I think should be the end of Miz & Morrison reign as John should move to a feud with Hardy over the US Title.

I like the concept behind theis PPV. It's a pointless filler show. But it's a change from the norm. At least some of the titles that don't usually make it to PPV get depended. Even though last year 9 matches was too much for a card like that.

I'm not expecting many changes in titles until this show. Possibly IC, maybe tag. But thats it. So it's really just guessing what feuds will have ended by then.

Here I have some of the matches I would attempt to put on at WWE: Night of Champions. I have included a bit of a backstory to each match:

Match 1: SD/ECW Tag Team Championship- Miz & Morrison (c) vs. Yang/Moore vs. Hawkins/Ryder.

Backstory- Miz & Morrison keep hold of the belts till that point with one defense against Vladimir Kozlov & Snitsky (He becomes a Free Agent on RAW so he signs over with Vickie Guerrero on S/D). Teddy Long becomes GM after Taker tombstones Vickie at ONS and holds qualifiers for the remaining 2 places in his Tag Team Triple Threat. Yang & Moore beat Deuce & Domino. Edgeheads beat Dreamer & Delaney.

Winners- Hawkins/Ryder

Match 2: Womens Championship- Mickie James (c) vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Melina

Backstory- Continue James/Phoenix feud and build on the Melina/Phoenix angle started on RAW.

Winner- Mickie James

Match 3: ECW Championship- WWE Biggest Elimination Match Up- Big Show vs. Mark Henry vs. The Great Khali vs. Big Daddy V vs. Kane (c) vs. Umaga

Backstory- Estrada has an amazing idea where he thinks it would be great to see who is the WWE's best big man and he says the best way is to put his ECW Title as a reward for the winner. They all run in each other matches building upto the Title match they all get various momentum boosts by scoring victories over each others in Singles Competition.

Winner- Umaga- He has to pin Kane and for them to continue this feud to Summerslam. He would jump to SD/ECW via winning the ECW Title.

Match 4: IC Title- Mr. Kennedy vs. Chris Jericho (c) vs. Shawn Michaels

Backstory- Current feud between Michaels/Jericho goes on after JD. At ONS Kennedy and Regal have a match-up in which it is stated that if Kennedy wins he gets a shot at Y2J's IC Title. Kennedy wins at ONS. Build the Triple Threat feud from there.

Winner- Y2J- Goes onto feud with Kennedy. HBK gets drafted to S/D.

Match 5: RAW Tag Titles- Kendrick/London vs. Carlito & Santino (c) vs. Cryme Tyme

Backstory- Cantino take the Titles at JD. They feud with Cryme Tyme leading to a ladder match at ONS. Cantino win. Cryme Tyme steal William Regals WWE Title Re-Match Clause Contact (So he can't cash it in after he loses to Triple H later on at Night of Champions). Londrick get in via them both being able to beat Snitsky in a handicap before Snitsky gets released (storyline) and moves to SmackDown.

Winners- Londrick

Match 6: US Title- Matt Hardy (s) vs. Elijah Burke

Backstory- Elijah gets a big win over Finlay on the S/D after Judgement Day. then Teddy Long sets Beat the Clock with one place available in the US Title Match at NOC. Elijah wins goes onto feud with Matt.

Winner- Matt Hardy- Elijah and Matt feud till Matt is ready to move upto the Main- Event and Elijah has enough behind him to take the belt and goes on to feud with Shelton, Chavo and Tommy Dreamer.

Match 7: WWE Title- William Regal vs. Triple H (c)

Backstory- STOP TURNING OF THE LIGHTS!! Seriously there are other ways to get Regal more heat. This feud is coming so Night of Champions would be it. After he loses to Kennedy at ONS Regal goes into Hyper Mode and tells HHH that to prove himself he has to become top-dog in the WWE. He puts Triple H in various impossible situations with Triple H looking dead and buried.

Winner- Triple H

Match 9- CM Punk vs. John Cena

Backstory- Cena realises he is out of the Championship reckoning so wants the Briefcase. Obvious feud Cena doesn't have to be in a Title Match. CM Punk doesn't miss another PPV.

Winner- CM Punk

Match 8: WHC- Last Chance Match- Undertaker (c) vs. Edge vs. Batista

Backstory- Basically between Vickie and Edge split up. Taker beats Edge at ONS and Batista pressures Vickie into putting him in the Main- Event. This is the Last Chance for Edge and Batista.

Winner- Undertaker

I would then carry some of the feuds created here forward to Summerslam where the Draft would be held after Summerslam

Really, I like the idea of this PPV. I won't make any predicions right now, simply because half the titles are defended so rarely, it's near impossible to tell who the champ will be facing. Holly/Rhodes, Jericho, MVP (up untill recently) never defended the titles, why start now?

I would also like to see this as a chance to revive the Crusierweight title... But I doubt it.

I really enjoy this idea, just dont like having so many PPVS being squished together in such a short span. They need to scrap jugement day, and move up ONS, and keep Night of champions. and they need to do that soon. I say scrap judgement day, becuase ONS and Night of Champions both have a niche. I like this PPV, becuase a night of all title matches implies we will see a few changes, at least in the lower card titles, and it means we get to see titles defended on PPV that arent normally seen. That and this PPV singularly keeps my dream of a possible spot to unite the tag titles alive. Since this is the only show of the year we have garunteed tag title matches

Here is what I would like the card to end up looking like. The first match on the list is unlikely to happen, but it would be nice. This is a hard card to decide with so much talent and so little spots on this card.

Tag Titles Miz/Morrison vs Moore/Wang vs Edgeheads vs Jesse/Festus vs Dreamer/Dulaney vs Deuce/Domino vs Carlito/Santino vs Cryme Tyme vs Holly/Rhodes vs Cade/Murdoch vs London/Kendrick vs Finlay/Hornswaggle - Tag Team Battle Royal - Title Unification - Please unify the two tag titles. With little to no good tag teams around, make one division able to defend on all three brands. The last two remaining teams start a regular match to decide the titles.

US TitleMatt Hardy (c) vs MVP - MVP's last shot at the belt. Hardy should retain, sending MVP off to go for the bigger titles.

Women's Title Its almos obvous we are going to see Phoenix vs Melina vs James for the title based on the recent storylines.

IC Title Y2J (c) vs HBK vs Kennedy vs Jeff Hardy - Ladder match - This would be probably the most entertaining match of the night. Jeff comes off suspension to get his rematch, I see Y2J retaining.

ECW Title Kane vs Umaga - Umaga goes to SD/ECW to re align himself with Estrada. Umaga wins the title to set up a long feud again between the two.

World Heavyweight Title Undertaker vs Edge vs Big Show vs Batista - HIC match to determine the champ.

MITB defense match CM Punk vs Cena - I liked the way this sounded in an earlier post. Punk retains and eventually gets drafted to either Raw or SD to make his title run.

WWE Title HHH vs Regal vs Orton - Quite possibly you will see just HHH/Regal, but i still think orton is in the picture.

Pre-One Night Stand predictions..

WWE Championship: Triple H vs. JBL
--I'd have thought Regal, but, well, no need to elaborate. Thusly, I think we'll get a boring match between these two, as HHH/Cena won't happen until Summerslam or so. Triple H retains after boring me to tears with Flab In a Cowboy Hat.

World Heavyweight Championship: Undertaker vs. Umaga/Big Show
--Since the next 3-hour Raw is June 23rd (or so I've heard), I can see that being this year's draft and Umaga going over to Smackdown. Night of Champions is only a few days afterwards, so they'd have to rush it a bit, but they could just have Umaga steamroll right to the champ and issue the challenge. If not Umaga, then probably Big Show, as I don't think Edge will have a 5th loss in a row, I can't picture MVP moving up that quickly, and I savagely hope it isn't another Taker/Batista match.

Intercontinental Championship: Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. ?
--No clue, as they have never given Jericho a true path with his IC title reign yet. I'm just assuming that they'll throw Hardy and Kennedy and someone else (or more) into this just to get them on the card.

United States Championship: Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin
--After Kofi is done feuding with Shelton, I think he'll be moving on to feud with Hardy. They may have been testing this out with the past 2 matches they've had. If not, we'll probably get something tiresome like Hardy and Palumbo or Hardy and Kozlov.

ECW Championship: Kane vs. CM Punk
--Unless Big Show wins the match at One Night Stand, I think Punk is the next likely option over Chavo, Morrison (since he'll have another match, below) and Dreamer. Kane probably retains as they test out whether or not Punk turning heel would hurt their business.

WWE Tag Team Championship: The In Crowd vs. Jesse/Festus vs. Moore/Wang vs. Deuce/Domino vs. Ryder/Hawkins
--Really, despite how every one of those tag teams has no momentum in defeating Morrison and Miz, who have been consistently dominant ever since winning the titles, I can't see The In Crowd coming out of Night of Champions with the titles. Both of them have proven that they can be used for much better things (Morrison for main event, Miz for midcard title). Hopefully, if they lose it, they lose it in a way that's credible, like being screwed over by the Edgeheads or being ganged up on by every other team and Festus lol.

World Tag Team Championship: Cody Rhodes/Hardcore Holly vs. Santino/Carlito vs. Cryme Tyme vs. London/Kendrick
--The likelihood of having both tag team competitions with multiple opponents is on the low end, but if either championship ends up being one team versus one team, it'll be this one, with just Rhodes & Holly against Santino & Carlito.

Women's Championship: Mickie James vs. Melina
--Wild guess. It could just as easily be Beth or Natalya instead of Melina. Who knows? Who cares? Who's on first?

Like One Night Stand, I'm more intrested in this than the usual 'B' show. I also think it'll it'll be a show with plenty of new feuds. Which will make a nice change, as most of the past few have just been extensions of Wrestle Mania feuds.

John ''Bradshaw'' Layfield vs. Triple H: I just can't see how this will deliver. Maybe if it was a gimmick match. But it won't be. Not until The Bash anyway. I'm prediction a DQ finish. Or possibly we'll see a similar main event to last years show.

Kane vs. Big Show: For years Kane vs. anybody bar Umaga has been awful. But Kane vs. Big Show could be torture, it sure was at backlash '06.

Jeff Hardy vs. Chris Jericho: Jericho only got the title because Jeff is a fuck up. May as well give him another pointless run.

Matt Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin: I'd be intrested in seeing it. I don't see Hardy being in a proper feud.

Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes vs. Ted Dibiase & D.H. Smith: I'm hoping for Cryme Tyme. Only because I like to have the proper champs on SvR. But I see this ebing a match. Not necessarily involving D.H. Smith, but somebody new & young.

The Miz & John Morrison vs. Jesse & Festurs: Filler. I can't see WWE ever putting the titles on J & F.

Melina vs. Mickie James: Nothing more than a guess.

Underaker vs. Edge: I see one more month of this disappointing feud. I hope for a Casket match. It would be the better way to end the feud.

EDIT: The draft happens two days before, so this will probably be a completley different card to what I've predicted. Or so I think It happens a couple of days before.

WWE Tag Team Titles: Morrison & The Miz v Jesse & Festus : I think this is who will challenge the champs, but I think Miz & Morrison will retain

World Tag Team Titles : Four Way Tag Match : Holly & Rhodes v Cryme Tyme v DH Smith & Ted DiBiase Jr v London & Kendrick. This would be cool to see. I think the new champs will be Cryme Tyme.

United States Championship : Matt Hardy v MVP : A last chance for MVP and I think Hardy will retain

Intercontinental Championship - Ladder Match : Chris Jericho v Jeff Hardy: This would be a great match. I think Hardy will win so Y2J can go to
Smackdown.

ECW Championship : Big Show v Kane : Awesome Match. I think Big Show will win and CM Punk will cash in and win it.

Womens Championship : Mickie James v Natalya Neidhart : Neidhart will go to RAW in the upcoming Draft and beat James for the Womens Title.

World Heavyweight Championship - Triple Threat : Edge v Batista v John Cena. Cena will be drafted and beat Edge and Batista to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE Championship - Triple H v Shawn Michaels : How great would this be. HHH will turn heel and HBK would beat HHH to become the WWE Champion. This would rule.

These are all guesses

WWE Title- HHH vs John Cena, Cena won at ONS so I presume he will be the next challanger, but it could be JBL depending on what WWE want to do.

Heavyweight title- Edge vs Rey? or Chavo? or Batista?- If Rey is back it will probably be Edge vs Rey, if not then probably Batista vs Edge. Alternatively it could even be Chavo who gets disillusioned with 'la familia' just a guess this though, could end up being someone from Raw.

Tag Titles- Ted DiBiase Jr + ? vs Rhodes/Holly, new champions I think dunno who his partner will be, maybe D.H smith, maybe someone else?!

Womens- Mickie vs Beth- Logical match after ONS.

IC Title- Jericho vs HBK (vs Batista)- Jericho is yet to win any of the matches between the 3 and this feud is still there after ONS. I think they will have Jericho retain and may even have Batista involved if they dont have anything else for him.

US Title- Hardy vs Kozlov? Not Sure who they can have Hardy feud with, it might be Kovlov though. A Russian with the US title=Mega heat.

ECW Title- Big show vs Kane, Already confirmed pretty much, unless they do it on sci-fi.

Well One Night Stand went in a few crazy directions. Didn't see Taker or HBK losing last night, or Orton getting hurt. Well for now, I'll just put this up and ignore the draft. I may change it after the draft and come up with new predictions.

:undertaker2: My Night of Champions Card:robvandam:

WWE Championship- (c) Triple H v.s John Cena

Triple H gets the win finally over Cena. With Orton out, I can't see Cena not getting the spot to challenge.

World Heavyweight Championship- (c) Edge v.s Batista

Batista has to be number one contender now with Taker out and Big Show obviously going for the ECW Title. Edge will still win out though by cheating or Vickie making the stipulations to favor Edge.

Intercontinental Championship- (c) Chris Jericho v.s Jeff Hardy

Jeffs back, so I see him taking the belt off Y2J and then Y2J heads to Smack Down!

United States Championship- (c) Matt Hardy v.s M.V.P

Matt beats M.V.P and then M.V.P goes to Raw. Kinda sad to see this fued end.

ECW Championship- (c) Kane v.s Big Show

Kane wins this round, but I wouldn't be suprised to see Big Show win or win it soon down the road.

World Tag Team Championship- (c) Hardcore Holly/ Cody Rhodes v.s Ted DiBiase/ D.H. Smith v.s Cryme Tyme v.s Paul London/ Brian Kendrick

Just showcase the teams for a change, even a quick match at best. DiBiase and Smith will probably capture the gold.

WWE Tag Team Championship (c) John Morrison/ The Miz v.s Jesse/ Festus v.s Jimmy Yang Wang/ Shannon Moore v.s Duece Domino

Smack Down! may as well just copy Raw here, but Miz and Morrison will retain. Still can't think of anyone to take the titles off them.

Women's Championship- (c) Mickie James v.s all the divas in a Battle Royal

Might as well as it seems that can be the only thing to drive people to actually watch the matches. Or have Natalya face off against Mickie in a one on one, but either way, I can't see Mickie losing like this.

That's it for now, but we'll just have to wait and see. I hope the draft just really shakes up the rosters.:dark2::lsabre:

Night Of Champions Predictions

WWE World Tag Team Championship
Triple Threat Tag Team

Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Ted Dibiase, Jr and ???

Apparently Dibiase, Jr wants to be a tag champion but he has no tag partner. In the long run, whomever he picks, it should happen because it will most likely be someone from another wrestling generation so that would be pretty interesting to see being that WWE is very legendary for many things such as the history of family. Plus, Holly and Rhodes is just kinda gay and Rhodes needs to now be in the singles competition for maybe the IC title. Holly needs to retire and smoke cheeba.

WWE United States Championship

Matt Hardy (c) vs. Carlito

That is going to be a Matt Hardy win unless they plan to move Carlito to SD! Because this was actually suppose to be a house show match and still is but maybe WWE will keep it going. This would actually be interesting to see the outcome, so I won’t pick a winner.

WWE Women's Championship
Triple Threat

Mickie James (c) vs Beth Phoenix vs Melina

I would really like to see this all come to an end and Melina pick up the victory as a face because Melina has done a lot as a heel competitor and it’s time she got some bigger star power as a Women’s title superstar.

ECW World Championship

Kane vs. Big Show

This will most likely be rather interesting because they were once tag team champions and I think that they even feuded a little bit but for a title? That will be awesome to see.

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Ladder Match

Chris Jericho © vs. Shawn Michaels

Ok, lets face it. These two guys can get it done in a Ladder match and make it memorable. We’ve seen it in their various ladder matches before between guys like Christian, Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, you got it. Another thing I would like to see happen is that Jericho drops the IC title to HBK and HBK gets drafted to SD or Jericho retains and gets drafted because in that event, the IC title can then be vacated due to the fact that it is exclusive to the RAW brand and then creative should come up with some idea to throw newer mid carders into a mix up and a newer IC champ emerges and maybe newer feuds can happen. It really is time that these long time mid carders finally get a push.

WWE Tag Team Championship

Miz and Morrison © vs. a Tag Team Invitational (any team whether it be one or two)

I think its time Miz and Morrison drop the tag titles because they blow as a tag time and its definitely keeping them from making names for themselves on Raw and Smackdown as singles competitors.

World Heavyweight Championship

Edge © vs. Batista (with a hint of Punk)

This should end with Edge as the retainer of the title being that he’s on some high horse now that he’s beaten the Undertaker and I think that during the match, Batista gets screwed by Edge and the Edgeheads and Edge wins. After their little celebration, CM Punk comes out, cashes in and steals the title from Edge after an Anaconda Vice. This would then take CM Punk into a newer feud with Edge and it will be very fresh from the Edge/Batista, Edge/Taker feuds. Then moving CM Punk to SD because soon ECW and RAW will be touring together.

WWE Championship

Fatal Four Way match

Triple H © vs. John Cena vs. JBL vs. Mr. Kennedy

The reason why I chose this one is because I’d really like to see the top three guys kind of push Kennedy out of the way as being some sort of rookie in a WWE title match and somehow Kennedy pulls the victory out of the bag and wins the WWE title leaving the top three dogs in an awe state of mind and Kennedy to hold the title high with an implied statement that you pushed me out of the way and said I couldn’t do it, but look what I just did. Basically saying, its time for the new age of Wrestling to start.

I will most likely edit this later because of that Draft that BETTER be a good one and not a bunch of crap like last years.

WWE Title - Triple H Vs. John Cena

After Orton's injury, this is the only WWE title match I can think of for this PPV, I think HHH will finally beat Cena cleanly, although it's possible Orton could interfere and cost HHH the title.

World Title - Edge Vs. Batista

Even know this was done to death last year, I think it will be done again here with Edge winning after Chavo and the others interfere.

ECW Title - Kane Vs. Big Show

This is the only match confirmed so far and I think we'll see a new champion.

Intercontinental Title - Chris Jericho Vs. Shawn Michaels

I think this feud will continue after Jericho's interferince at One Night Stand caused Michaels to get hurt more, I can't see Michaels as IC champ, so I'm guessing there will be a DQ or Jericho wins by cheating to complete his heel turn.

US Title - Matt Hardy Vs. Jeff Hardy Vs. MVP Vs. Umage

I think Jeff & Umaga will be drafted to Smackdown, and this fits 2 feuds into the 1 match, so I think this makes sense, I think Matt Hardy should hold onto the title for a while longer.

World Tag Team Title - Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes Vs. JBL & Ted Di Biase Jnr.

I don't know if JBL would want to be in a mid card match but I think it makes sense for him to be Di Biase's partner, I mean his gimmick is pretty much a rip off of the Million Dollar Man, and it would mean both teams have 1 rookie and 1 veteran, and of course Holly & Rhodes forgettable title reign would finally end.

WWE Tag Team Title - John Morrison & The Miz Vs. Finlay & Hornswoggle

It could be Jesse & Festus, but I think Finlay & Hornswoggle will be the challengers here, and Morrison & Miz will probably retain.

Womens Title - Mickie James Vs. Beth Phoenix Vs. Melina

This is the only womens match I can think of and I can see Beth regaining the title.

This is my first post, and I like the concept of the PPV, but really, I think most titles should be defended at every PPV, or at least every other.

First, WWE championship- Triple H vs. Someone he'll likely beat anyway. Whether it's JBL or Cena, I don't particularly care. Cena and HHH actually had me rooting for Orton, which is something I never thought I'd do.

World Heavyweight Championship- Most likely Edge vs. Batista. I like Edge as champion, I just don't like how every match he has to be in is a 5 on 1. Honestly, it gets really dumb and predictable. No heels seem to be able to get the job done anymore on their own. I think Edge is probably going to run with the belt a bit, though I personally would've liked to see 'Taker run with it thru 'Mania.

ECW Title- Kane vs. Big Show. I'd personally like to see Kane hold onto the belt a little bit longer. I know he's not the performer that he once was, but hey. I still like him. And the ECW title match the two of them had on TV back when Show was champ was actually pretty good, I thought. I'm still hoping Kane retains, but I doubt it'll happen.

Intercontinental Title- Obviously the WWE doesn't care about this belt. What's the purpose of Chris Jericho facing Shawn Michaels on PPV at Judgement Day, and having it be non-title? As much as I really can't stand Shawn Michaels, having the two of them go at it over the belt would've added alot of credability to it, especially is HBK won. What pisses me off about WWE is that they make no effort to hide the fact that they don't care about any belts aside from the main two heavyweight titles. Jericho will probably be facing Hardy, but who knows, maybe him and Michaels will continue their rivalry and the belt will get thrown in there, too.

U.S. Championship- Okay, I know this won't happen, but imagine if you will what would happen if it somehow became a match between Matt and Jeff Hardy for the U.S. strap. First off, everyone would go nuts, especially if they made it a ladder match. Personally, I'm fairly biased, because I'm all about Matt Hardy, but given how insanely popular his brother is, and the streak they've both been on lately, think about how much momentum they'd each have going in. It would definitely steal the show, I think. Though I'd say Matt should win, retaining his title. It would help Matt to defeat Jeff alot more that it would hurt Jeff Hardy. Either way, it won't likely happen, and we'll just have Matt Hardy beating Carlito or something lame like that. What happened to Carlito being in a tag-team, anyway?

World Tag-team Title- I like seeing Hardcore Holly with a belt, myself, even if it's meaningless. The tag-team division could actually be good if they cared enough to do something with it. Personally, I'd like to see a large match involving several teams, and I'd also enjoy seeing London and Kendrick picking up the belts, but it'll likely be Ted DiBiase Jr. and whoever ends up as his partner. DH Smith, perhaps. Think maybe WWE knows or cares that having young people show up and win the lesser titles on their first day at work does nothing but make the belts look even more pointless than they already do? Not likely.

WWE Tag-team Titles- Miz & Morrison vs. maybe Hawkins & Ryder? I don't really know who else there is, aside from Yang and Moore. Jesse and Festus don't seem to be doing anything lately, and neither do The Deuce (thanks, Adamle) and Domino. I say pile them all into a match together and let them fight it out. I just hope that whenever Morrison and the Miz DO lose the straps, they keep their Dirt Sheet show on WWE.com, cuz that is damn funny.

Women's Title- Probably a triple threat between Mickie, Beth, and Melina. Probably their best bet for an actual match, though I'd like to see Victoria get back into the title picture somehow. I hope Mickie retains, and it'd be nice to see her dethrone Beth and actually take her down for a 3 count without just a little roll-up, but keeping her as an underdog works pretty well, too.

I assume what will happen is they will have the matches made before the draft and then have the superstars wrestle at NOC in one final match on their shows. This proly won't happen but this is what I think should happen.

WWE Title-Cena vs. HHH-It's already been made last night after Cena beat Hardy.HHH wins.
World Title-Edge vs. Batista-It was done too much last year, but there is no one else to face for Edge other than Matt Hardy and although he deserves the push he won't get it.Edge will be the victor.
ECW Title-Kane vs. Big Show under Extreme Rules-The match is already confirmed, but why not give it a twist.Kane is victorious.
IC title-Jericho/J. Hardy/HBK-This is a possible match of the year.Besides with the whole HBK/Jericho thing and Hardy losing to Cena for a shot at the title, this makes perfect sense.Hardy or Jericho wins.
U.S.Title-Matt Hardy/Chavo/Shelton/Burke-Another possible Match of the Year.Besides they are doing nothing with Shelton or Elijah right now.Chavo will win.
Women's-Mickie/Beth/Melina/Ashley/Katie Lea/Jillian-C'mon you have to love this idea.Six women who can actually wrestle duking it out at the same time for the title.Ashley or Beth will proly come out on top.
World Tag-Rhodes/Holly vs. DiBiase Jr. and Roddy Piper-You just wait it IS gonna happen.Roddy and Ted Jr. win.
WWE Tag-Edgeheads vs. Miz/Morrison-And Ryder/Hawkins will win. They'll win those titles and Chavo will be U.S. champ with Edge the World Champ and Bam Neely eventually getting the ECW title before Taker comes back with the Ministry to combat La Familia

Night of Champions: Match Predictions:

WWE Championship:
Triple H vs. John Cena - It has been confirmed. Will be a decent match. HHH wins.

World Championship:
Edge vs. Batista - Edge can make the match good, but we'll have to see. Edge wins, but I think a creepy Undertaker segment takes place.

ECW Championship:
Kane vs. Big Show - It has been confirmed. I don't really know who will win, but I'll say Kane only because I don't know what they'll do to him if he loses. Should be an interesting match.

Intercontinental Championship:
Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels - Match of the night candidate right here. Hardy wins, starts a new fued and Jericho and Michaels continue theirs

United States Championship:
Matt Hardy vs. Elijah Burke - I can't really think of who else because MVP I think has moved on. Hardy wins.

Women's Championship:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix - I think Beth wins here in a good match and starts a fued with Melina or Victoria/Natalya(which ever gets drafted to RAW).

World Tag Title Championship:
Cody Rhodes/Hardcore Holly vs. Ted Dibiase Jr./DH Smith - It looks like this is the direction their going in. I think DH Smith is the only choice they have if it is a permenant partner. Dibiase Jr. and Smith win.

WWE Tag Title Championship:
John Morrison/The Miz vs. Jesse/Festus - Morrison/Miz win, but I see them dropping the titles soon so Morrison can move up.

Last year they had 9 titles, with 9 matches. This year there is no cruiserweight championship, so maybe Punk will end up defending his MITB briefcase in an extra match?

WWE Champ---HHH vs Cena- I really think this was only thrown together due to the Orton injury and the ratings being so low. I see HHH retaining and finally getting a win over Cena with the belt on the line.

World Title---Edge vs Batista- There really isnt anyone else they could put in this match. I expect something to do with the Undertaker possibly, Edge retains.

I.C.---Y2J vs HBK- I think this is the direction they are going in, and I dont think HBK wants to be the champ anymore, so Y2J retains.

U.S.---Matt Hardy vs Shelton Benjamin vs Kofi- This would be a decent match, and a way to get some guys that wouldnt normally have the chance to be on a ppv. Hardy retains

ECW---Kane vs Big Show- This will be another match like the 2 have had before. I think Big Show will win after some interference.

Womens---Mickie vs Beth vs Melina- This was a really good match at Judgement Day, could see a repeat here with Beth taking the title.

WWE Tag---Jesse and Festus vs Miz and Morrison- Miz and Morrison will retain since the tag titles are worthless

World Tag---Holly and Rhodes vs Dibiase jr. and Partner(I think it will be DH Smith) Dibiase and partner win, cashing in on his gaurantee and making him look good for calling it.

and I could see:
MITB on the line---Punk vs Jeff Hardy- I honestly dont think they want Punk to have the case, and they will probably give it to Jeff since he was supposed to win in it in the first place. They have buried Punk by having him lose a few matches in a row, and then they had him compete for the #1 contendor to the ECW title at ONS. I can see Jeff getting the win and using it later in the night to make it a triple threat, or at summer slam.

WWE: HHH V.S Cena- Cena will win
World: Edge V.S Batista- Edge will win with help from La Famila at the end of the match all the light turn off and on the screen is a picture of the Undertaker
ECW: Kane V.S Big Show- Kane will win
Intercontinental: Chris Jericho V.S Shawn Michels- Chris Jericho will win
U.S.: Matt Hardy V.S. Kofi Kingston- Matt Hardy will win
World Tag: Harcore Holly & Cody Rhodes V.S Ted Dibiase jr. & D Lo Brown- Ted Dibiase jr. & D Lo Brown will win
WWE Tag: Morrison & The Miz V.S Jesse & Festus- Jesse & Festus will win but they do not gain titles due to DQ by Morrison & The Miz
Womens- Mickie James V.S. Beth Pheonix- Beth Pheonix will win but does not gain title because mellina comes and DQ mickie

Match Predictions:

WWE Title: HHH Vs Cena - HHH Wins should be a good match probally wont be though.

Winner - HHH

World Heavywieght Championship: Edge Vs Batista - Seen these to go at it hundreds of times probs be a decent match can see Undertaker playing a few mind games with Edge hopefully Edge retains.

Winner: Edge

ECW Championship: Kane Vs Big show - I see Big Show taking the title here in what could be a good match. But like someone said in a previous post if Kane lost what to do with him next?

Winner: Big Show

Intercontinetel Championship: Y2J Vs HBK Vs Jeff Hardy - Have Jeff win & go onto feud with someone else so Y2J & HBK can continue there feud. Should be the highlight of the night.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

United States Championship: Matt Hardy Vs Kofi Kingston Vs Shelton Benjiman Vs Elijah Burke - With the feud with MVP over this is the only match i can see happening should be a great match with Kofi & Shelton involved & another highlight of the night. Don't see Matt dropping the title yet so Matt retains.

Winner: Matt Hardy

Women's Championship: Mickie Vs Katie Lea/Natalya/Beth Phoenix - Don't care which of the 3 Mickie faces should be a great match whoever she faces as long as it isn't Ashley, Maria or Kelly. 3 good ppv matches involving divas in a row is WWE finally taking notice of there women's division? I see Mickie retaining & hopeully Natalya will get drafter to RAW where she can feud with Mickie & finally win the belt either at the bash or summerslam.

Winner: Mickie James

WWE Tag Team Championship: John Morrison & The Miz Vs Jesse & Festus i dont think it will happen but Jesse & Festus should win the titles so John Morrison can concentrate on being a singles wrestler.

Winners: Jesse & Festus

World Tag Team Championship: Holly & Cody Vs Ted Dibiase & ??? Obviously Ted & Partner win which i hope they do im so bored of seeing Holly & Cody as the champions.

Winners: Ted & Partner ;]

Match Predictions:

WWE Title: HHH Vs Cena - I kinda see this as a heel turn for HHH. He will then move onto facing Kennedy by Summerslam.
Winner - HHH

World Heavywieght Championship: Edge Vs Batista - I don't think Batista is a good champion. They made him look very strong at first, but after seeing the same moves over and over it gets boring.
Winner: Edge

ECW Championship: Kane Vs Big Show Vs. CM Punk - They will try to build up a triple threat, but Kane will win, then Big Show will come back saying you didn't beat me so then they will have a one on one match.

Winner: Kane

Intercontinetel Championship: Y2J Vs HBK - Because I think HBK needs to get revenge.

Winner: HBK

United States Championship: Matt Hardy Vs Shelton Benjiman only cause they seem to be pushing shelton very little.

Winner: Matt Hardy

Women's Championship: Mickie Vs Natalya
I think Natalya would be an awesome champion, but she won't win yet. and I have a feeling Mickie is going to be drafted to Smackdown anyway so this gives her a chance to face other divas that she hasn't faced yet.

Winner: Mickie James

WWE Tag Team Championship: John Morrison & The Miz Vs Cryme Tyme
Everyone keeps saying The Miz and John Morrison can't be beaten, but I see Cryme Tyme being drafted and they take the titles and this will lead to Miz and Morrison breaking up and Morrison turns face.
Winners: Jesse & Festus

World Tag Team Championship: Holly & Cody Vs Ted Dibiase & ??? - I have a feeling that Cody will turn against Holly and will join with Ted and say hahaha everybodys got a price and gives Cody the belt.

Winners: Ted & Cody.

I can't see HBK wanting the Intercontnental Title to be honest, he'll see it as a step down, though if he does win, give me a Matt Hardy/HBK as IC Champ trade any day of the week

I can't see HBK wanting the Intercontnental Title to be honest, he'll see it as a step down, though if he does win, give me a Matt Hardy/HBK as IC Champ trade any day of the week

Why does everyone seem to want/think that Matt Hardy is going to either drop the US title and immediately win the IC title, or that the IC and US will switch shows? Did I miss some rumor or report or something?

And really...idk if HBK wouldn't mind IC or not. He hasn't held a title in a long time and he's seemingly devoted his current career status to Undertaker's constant level of "main event talent, but focuses more on personal feuds on the side, and tends to put over the younger talent". If he specifically doesn't want the duties of WWE champion, he might not mind Intercontinental as it isn't as much spotlight. Plus, Jericho didn't mind taking a step down. Its definitely a step down for Michaels, but I'm not so sure he wouldn't be willing to do it anyway. But of course, that requires him to even have a match against Jericho, and that hasn't been confirmed yet anyway. All we've gotten is a head-smash through a TV screen and them talking about how he "might be injured" and so forth.
