Not a rumour. This was confirmed months ago and formed a little bit of the demo. Poke-rides are in and do the same job.

I've been playing video games since PONG (yes, I'm old) but one franchise has yet to snare me in its trap and that franchise is Pokemon. It's obscenely popular but I can't find a solid reason to play it. WZers seem to enjoy it.

I was target age for it when it was first released in the UK really. I got the first day on release date and was hooked.

Yeah I remember getting Pokemon Red for the classic Gameboy (which was technically my first game system altogether) and I've been hooked ever since.

Told my wife I wanted the new Pokemon game and got a raised eyebrow in response. I shrugged back at her.


As for systems I mainly game on PC and my 3DS. I also have my PS3 that I occassionally play, my Wii U mostly for my daughter,tThe 360 collects dust in storage at the present time. I also have for my OG systems a PS2, Gamecube, PS2, and a Raspberry Pi setup for NES, SNES, and Genesis games.

Strangely enough, it was the TV show that got me into Pokemon. It was on in the morning as I was getting ready for school. Eventually ended up with Pokemon Yellow.

Despite my supposedly being a fully-fledged adult, that connection with the original 151 still remains.

Some form of Pokemon game has pride of place on my annual game play list with Link to the Past and Super Mario World.

PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii, WiiU. Just discovered Playshare with a pal on PS4 and was flabbergasted. I had no idea it existed. He passed remote control options over to me and I played his Battlefield 1 opening stage for a laugh.
