I'd be pissed if Fallout 4 was X1 exclusive. And, also, it would convince me to buy an Xbox One.

There's probably a lesson about gamers here.

Guess I wouldn't play Fallout 4 then. I doubt they'd leave PC in the dust. Bethesda loves the PC gamers. They released software for modding Skyrim to make it easier for the modding community as an example. Unless Microsoft gave them a blank check.....

It's a pretty wild rumor, but it'd also be a pretty big shot fired by Microsoft. Despite some appearances and talk otherwise, this is still a gaming world dominated by exclusives, and turning a franchise that's traditionally not exclusive into an exclusive for X1 would be insanely huge. Still, the kind of resources that would take would be pretty nuts. An X1 and PC exclusive - maybe. Good will is an elusive thing and of debatable use - everybody hates EA, but they're still fucking huge - but it remains to be seen what effect Bethesda blowing all of the goodwill they have with gamers would do.

My guess is that it'll release on Xbox One and PS4 and probably cross gen as well, but it'll be fun to watch at least.

Of course, it might have to be a different company and not Rare.

The thing that makes Conker showing up feel kinda like a middle finger is that yeah we can create something with him but contrary to the advertisement there probably are limitations to what you can do with him in Project Sparks as a regular gamer compared to what a full company can.

And of course like you said it's very possible to make a full version in this day and age.

EDIT: Though I do get the whole thing about Rare, but still...at least try a new version.
