I went with Windwaker HD. I wanted it so it saved me cash.

Disappointed in Mario Kart 8 though, mainly because nothing much so far has been added to differentiate it from any other Mario Kart. I don't want more ways to customise my kart. I want more tracks and different types of gameplay instead of meaningless time trials and battles. What I really want is a Grand Prix with longer and more races.

At the moment, it is far inferior to Sonic All-Star Racing.

I've found it's a lot better playing with mates. The battle mode is hilarious as only one of you will have the map.

My Pokemon badge collection is growing slowly. I'll add a pic tomorrow once I get the frame.

Sonic is the superior single player - so much so that it's not even funny - but MK is the superior multiplayer, Sonic being crippled (from a technical perspective) whenever more than one person was playing.

Mm, but Mario Kart has always favored multiplayer - this is hardly the first threadbare single player campaign that's accompanied one. At least I still have the Mirror GPs to do.

True. I just wish it wouldn't have such a narrow focus and spending so much processing power on pointless graphics rather than making the tracks more interactive and different.

How hard would it be to add in a proper F1 style Grand Prix - 5-7 lap races, 10-20 race season, maybe even qualifying to get the starting grid?

Mario Kart DS's single player experience was phenomenal as the tracks were all very interesting and there were boatloads of unlockables and mission mode missions so it's a shame to see that the big N's taken a step back there. The game looks very fun to play with friends, though, but I'm still not comfortable enough financially (nor do I play enough video games right now) to justify a Wii U just for it and a few other games.

The pandering to multiplayer is another worrying trend in gaming for me.

It really is. The fact that its considered odd these days when a game DOESN'T have some sort of Multiplayer element is strange - Bioshock Infinite was sometimes criticized for this.

It's worse when the MP is so damn terrible and phoned in. I'm looking at you Arkham Origins.

if you want a good game about a dead detective, play Ghost Trick for DS. Fantastic animation, clever gameplay, and at times hard as hell. Great story, too.

Only seven years late to the party, I beat Bioshock today. What a wonderful game. Admittedly the gameplay itself is little more than a fancy FPS - the plasmids are fun and allow for some creativity, but their use is kind of predictable after a while - but the atmosphere and adventure is just superb.
Don't feel too bad, I just beat it for the first time a couple weeks ago after it went on sale on Steam. There's an incredibly nuanced plot about how the ultimate fallibility of Objectivist beliefs is that they rely on submission to authority and are subverted by people who adhere to objectivist beliefs while not adhering to the sense of 'fair play' implicit in the objectivist argument.

This is somewhat lost as you reload your shotgun to shoot creatures that look a lot like zombies in the face.

Damn you Sony and your Flash sales.

So I have 60 GB ready to download between Uncharted 3, Ni No Kuni, and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

I only have a 120 GB hard drive in my PS3. Guess I'll be running a backup and installing a bigger hard drive so I have enough space for these games.

Ni no Kuni is outstanding.

How are people only now getting amazed by the Witcher? Series has been amazing since the begining. The devs are good people and having a game series based off of books help.

I always liked the Witcher games. I'm really impressed with how good the graphics look now. Hopefully the gameplay and optimization reflects that (I'm talking to you Ubisoft).

I've heard good things about Killzone: Shadowfall and Infamous: Second Son. I mean, at this point, that's about it as far as big titles go.

I can attest to Ni No Kuni. Lot's of fun.

I've just bought watch dogs and I'm confused how it can go from shoddy driving one minute to seamless running and vaulting of objects the next. The former is like playing a True Crime game. The latter is more impressive than what you'd find in GTA.

Fun game s far though. It seems to have suffered from being over-hyped a bit. Just playing it as A game it's fun and impressive.
