The fact that the embargo's not been released on reviews should be a concern.

I said it the last time it was posted is that it looks terrible.

I think you guys are taking it way too seriously, it's Deadpool, games like these aren't meant to be masterpieces. Nothing wrong with a game not taking everything so seriously and having fun with itself. Though the fact there are no reviews are worrying, but whatever I'll fun with it.

Comedy should always be taken seriously. I could go ok it's a comedy game if it looked even vaguely funny. The trailer makes it look at funny as getting your dick stuck in a zipper.

Deadpool reminds me of Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions. Seems like a perfectly decent game if you get it cheap

Comedy and a decent story can make up for poor gameplay. However, it is a tricky balance to get right.

The Deadpool game could be comedy and literally nothing else and when there is such an over-reliance on comedy, it usually ends up being forced and not being funny.

Deadpool looks fucking terrible, it looks like 10 hrs. of him repeating the same stupid obnoxious jokes with shitty gameplay & a piss poor story. I really have to question the sanity judgment of somebody spending $60 to buy this day 1, especially since there hasn't been a single review. The fact that I haven't seen a single commercial spot for it on TV just furthers by belief that the game is one big pile of dog shit.

I think it's a little unfair for us to assume things about a game that hasn't even gotten any reviews yet. It might be hilarious, it might be trying too hard. It might have crappy gameplay, but the gameplay might rock our socks off. I understand the speculation, but the fact that nobody even seems to be giving this game a chance seems pretty silly.

I'm sure the game will be plenty funny as it is written by a guy that wrote the character with Marvel for four years. Couple that with the fact that Deadpool gets to explore a new genre, and you have room for plenty of fresh comedy.

I'd also add that superhero games, when done well, can be absurdly entertaining. I thought Infamous 2 was incredibly immersive because of how powerful they made you feel while controlling Cole. If Deadpool can capture that feeling, I have little doubt that this is going to be a very fun game.

Non-A-list games rarely get TV commercials. I didn't see a single commercial for X-Com: Enemy Unknown, and that game is fucking awesome. I never saw any ads for Deus: Ex, and that game is excellent. Hell, I don't think I ever saw a The Last of Us commercial on television either, and we all know how amazing that game is.

I'll agree to an extent that buying this game on release day for full price is ill-advised, but I feel that way about just about every game. There's no guarantee that any game you purchase is going to be great, though there are safer bets (Bioshock Infinite, Last of Us, most sports related titles) than a game like Deadpool. Still, I think it's incredibly unfair to be damning Deadpool just because you think it looks shitty. The game won a "Best in Show" award at Gamescom where it competed with games like Arkham City, Assassins Creed 3, and Far Cry 3. Joystiq and GameSpot also gave the game's demo at E3 a positive review.

Sure, the trailers don't paint it as a must play game by any means, but are you really going to write this game off just because the trailers didn't blow you away?

I have seen shit loads of commercials for LOU, I don't know how you can watch TV right now not see a LOU commercial, the game has been even been airing trailers in the front of several movies I seen over the past few months in the theater, they're littered through every WWE show's commercial breaks, as well as TNA's, the Stanley Cup, not to mention I see them constantly when just flipping through channels, I also recall seeing plenty of commercials for Deus Ex: Human Revolution when it first came out in 2011 as well.

Deadpool has been a poorly written annoying character for years, the fact that the same guy who wrote him for 4 yrs., who also happen to be one of my least favorite writers in comics right now, only furthers my belief that this game looks like crap.

So far I've seen two 6/10's, two 3/5's, two 83/100's, 8/10. Apparent the gameplay is nothing special, even a bit repetitive depending on what type of games you usually play but in every review no matter what the score it's genuinely funny and a good fun chaotic ride.

I understand not liking the character or the way it seems so far but this whole judgement before you know anything concrete in the slightest is just ignorant. It's not like this game is trying to be anything other than a fun time waster for fans of the character. It wasn't in development hell for 11 years like Duke Nukem, it's not very expensive even on release day, it's not trying to be game of the year so just stop fucking take things to heart based off a trailer that just so happened not to be your cup of tea. But it's fine, just like I said people are going to like certain things and other's won't.

Whilst on Superhero games.
I bought Injustice Gods among us yesterday. Visually it's great. Will give proper impressions later.

A rep system is a bad idea. Easily exploitable. Especially with let's players

The current rep system on Xbox Live seems like it works. I've got a good rep and am generally matched up with players who have good reps, or at least am able to see and avoid people with bad ones. According to the article, this new one seems like it'll only improve on that.
