The xBone is launching in these countries:
Xbox One-supported Xbox Live countries:

Australia
Austria
Belgium
Brazil
Canada
Denmark
Finland
France
Germany
Ireland
Italy
Mexico
Netherlands
New Zealand
Norway
Russia
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland
United Kingdom
United States

In 2014 they are adding Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and India.

Notice a lack of Japan?

Japan's usually a playstation/nintendo stronghold anyway isn't it? I remember some friends in Japan saying the Xbox 360's dead over there. I'm surprised at the general lack of countries it's launching in to be honest, especially places like south Africa where the gaming community apparently just took over as the biggest industry there.

Also; DAMN Villager is creepy

Yeah but it's still traditionally a massive gaming hub. Very odd choice.

Does anyone else think this is Microsofts way to get out of the business? Their system is more like a computer for your entertainment center then a video game console, and they're pissing off gamers.

Maybe they don't want to be in the business anymore.

Yeah it is still weird to just give up on an area like that, even though the xbox 360 is pretty nonexistent there compared to the competitors I'd still imagine it turned a profit just through the sheer amount of gaming population there... But how would we be able to explain their actions as of late anyway?

Ooooh before I forget - i've been hearing a bunch of rumors lately that Microsoft has been hiring a TON of internet pr firms to post negative Sony/nintendo stuff and to post craploads of "go Microsoft" stuff on social media so their public perception is skewed drastically.. I knew they'd do this but apparently the scale they're doing it on this time is through the roof - which would explain why the xbone is still somehow the most preferred system by a mile according to social media analytical software while being trashed on every other poll on the web. I mean, I know the general public is pretty blind to hardcore gaming but there's no way they're THIS blind is there?

Oh who's that at the door? Is it the postman, I wonder what he has.

The VAST majority of my friends bought a PS3 early in the cycle despite the reaction of hardcore gamers, so if say that yes, yes they are. We may decide which console is better but a LOT of people will buy an Xbox One just to carry over things like gamerscore even though it is, much like the PS3 was 7 years ago, crap by comparison.

Have spent an hour with The Last of Us so far, taking me through the prologue and the first chapter. Really enjoying it, though Naughty Dog's tendency to not let go of the reins so it can make everything 'cinematic' is rubbing a bit - though I think that will dissolve away as the game goes on. I remember Joel taking a bullet and actually being pleased that it took away a sizeable chunk of health and made him stumble back. I then charged forward and smacked the guy into a wall before he could get another shot away - the combat has a great sense of weight and momentum, though the emphasis seems to be to kill silently or avoid enemies altogether. And, typically from Naughty Dog, everything is animated beautifully and the game looks gorgeous. High hopes.

People with a 3DS get me added: 4253-4235-5010
If you have MiiVerse: Lee923
PSN I'm: NinLee

I bought a ps3 in 2010 and knew a grand total of 3 other people who had one, everybody else that I knew had an Xbox - although from 2011 until now more people I know have been buying ps3 over Xbox (still a lot less overall)

Dammit lee now I'll be tempted to buy the last of us while I'm at work.. I've been getting nonstop FB messages from a friend of mine who got it early (naughty dog are extremely generous when it comes to reviewer copies) telling me to buy it now so he has someone else to talk to about the greatness, unfortunately for him (and me) I'm still backed up with other games like the mgs collection, ni no kuni and XCOM to finish first.

Anyone here a fan of the tales series? Tales of Xillia is coming out in English soon + the voices aren't horrible this time :D

Seemignly The Last of Us has a day one patch causing save problems.

The Launch Day Patch was to open the multiplayer servers.... and yea.... seems to have saving problems. And here's an interesting factoid. for every 1 xbone there are at least 4 ps4's being sold or preordered.

Well I had no problems yesterday neither did anyone else that I know of.

I got hit by the bug, it seems to have spread pretty far, I can't imagine it wouldn't have affected a guy in QA, either it was the patch or its something naughty Dog cannot fix. I'd guess for column a.

Also add me on PSN folks, kanedahewson, because Shotaro is taken so I cannot even replace letters with numbers in order to use it.
