Gamers unite -HQ

Don't think I played more than 5 mins of Super Mario Sunshine. Might have to rectify that. Been on a bit of an older game fix recently - currently on Alpha Centauri, although I am having a bit of trouble getting SMAC Alien Crossfire to work on Windows 7

Sunshine is an odd game, the first time I played it I hated it but second time I loved it. Odd stuff.

If you can get past the idea of fludd it's great.

I picked up Mass Effect 2, Madden 12, Deus Ex: Human Revolution & Vanquished last Friday as a result of Blockbuster going out of business.

Now the secret is finding time to play them.

Haha I'm like that buy a ton of games and just dont have time to play.

Play Human Revolution and tell me how it is. I want to get it after I beat the original Deus Ex.

To Daggar Dias and the rest of the gaming community here:

Dear fellow nerds,

I humbly request that we refrain from the constant clamoring for remakes of JRPG games decades past their point of relevance and instead push JRPG makers to create new IP's and new gaming approaches to compete with Western RPGs and gain new followers. For every cat eared fan of Cloud or cosplaying Sephiroth fan there are 10 potential new fans of the genre who are turned off. Western RPG's have hit more or less the same walls JRPGs did during the PS2 era, and there isn't really a better time to recapture that audience.

I love many of these older games. Many of them are why I consider myself a gamer by any definition of the word. But no one ever set the world on fire by re-releasing a game with some slighty spruced up graphics and a new dungeon or two. So, while I may lament that I will never see a 3D Final Fantasy 6, or that Chrono Trigger will never get a proper sequel, I'd rather live with that than see a genre I once loved tear itself to pieces and render itself irrelevant.

Love,

DirtyJose.

Like Xenoblade.

Like Xenoblade.

I wonder how Xenoblade would do with a proper US release. Even further, I wonder how it would do were it not tied in name to once proud Xenogear franchise, pulled under by the mediocre and over-hyped Xenosaga releases. It doesn't look like a KILLER APP but it looks like it takes steps in the right direction.

See also: The Last Story.

And, unless the rumors about US localization are true, it's not coming over here. Just like The Last Story. Just like Mother 3. And yet they'll remake anything for the DS. Boggles my mind.

We're gettign last story and Pandora's tower. We didn't even get Earthbound so mother 3 doesn't bother me.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Барбоса again

though that's not your name.

THE FUCK

They're releasing Skyward Sword the same day as Super Mario 3D Land

There's nothing really for the next few weeks :(

White Knight Chronicles 2 on PS3.
Ico and Shadow of the Collosus collection on PS3 - if youve not been through these, this is a must.
Thats it for the next 2 weeks really.

October sees Arkham City and Battlefield 3.
November IS THE month for releases. No doubt.
Assassins Creed: Revelations
Skyrim
Super Mario Land 3D
Skyward Sword
WWE 12 if youre interested,
Modern Warfare 3
Uncharted 3
Sonic Generations.

November is the pocket hurt month.
