Single player is an absolute blast. First time I can ever say that about COD except for maybe the first couple games. Story is actually really interesting.

For a good realistic FPS level, you need look no further than the first level of Medal of Honour: Frontline.

Sure it is taken straight from Saving Private Ryan (and strangely the entire game mirrors the movie in not living up to its opening scene) but it is fantastic

Second one was really good, but the catacombs were easily, easily the best part of it. The developer who made them (who were different to the developer of the main game, but I forget their name) should make a game consisting of nothing but them. First time I ever got vertigo playing a videogame. Just so, so awesome.

The thing the series most needs is to just drop that whole animus bullshit. The final fight in the second one sucked balls and made no sense. It's the future. Why don't the bad guys bring guns?

I remember playing the catacombs and almost falling and being legit scared that I was about to fall in real life.
