Anybody got any tips on how to beat Shao Khan with Raiden? The only way I beat him with Liu Kang was that I made his health lower than mine and ran out the clock.

Here are some hints from someone who has yet to play the new MK game.

1. Raiden should be able to teleport, right? Use that followed by some strikes (combo that shit up, yo).
2. Doesn't he do the superman-like thing that he did in the original games? Use that.
3. If he projectiles, then use your projectile. Raiden shoots lightning out of his hands towards the enemy.

Finally, my ultimate hint for beating Shao Kahn is as follows: drain his health to zero.

I want to get the game, but my financial situation, as well as my potential console switch, make me not want to spend the 60 bucks yet. In due time, I will pick up the game, though, as MK is the shit.

The game is fun as hell, I played it with my friend's roommate in tag team mode and we had a blast. Some of the fatalities are just vicious, as the whole game is even more violent than usual. Awesome.

The first one is The Jokers from the MKDC (except now they show the headshot), and the 2nd he makes the guy rip off his own head.

I saw Noobs, and I loved the make a wish one, but Shang Tsung wins this one, flawless victory. Noob does have a better babality (when he becomes the baby) though.

The fatalities in MK9 are just vicious. I love it.

Speaking of vicious, I finally got around to looking at a Death Trap compilation from Mortal Kombat Deception. Stage fatalities are my favorite kind of fatalities so I loved the death traps. Some of them were just hilariously sick, like the one in the factory where the opponent gets crushed by the giant press

Also speaking of Mortal Kombat Deception, if your opponent does a hara kiri at the exact same time as you do a fatality, this glitch happens. Watch the whole video; some are just hilarious:

If by combo you mean teleport, spinkick, teleport, spinkick, etc then that is totally what I did thanks for the advice! Rep coming.

I'm happy they went back to the violent side of things and made it extra bloody. I enjoyed the Story mode the most though. Especially the story of "Darth Kabal".

Recently signed up for Gamefly, and I got Mortal Kombat and Dead Space 2 in the mail and on the way.

Figured I'd rather spend $22 a month and pick what games I want rather than dropping $60 on every game I want. That just doesn't work financially for me anymore, especially games where once I finish it, it sits in the corner collecting dust.

Was going to post a thread in VGT but could not word it properly and then lost interest.

It was along the lines of asking what aspects of gameplay do you think need to be improved or expanded upon and I was going to use diplomacy in the Total War series as an example of computer AI and that it has yet to reach a level of adequate of sophisication when it comes to common sense

Dead Space 2 was fun. Got it for £15 when the price collapsed about two weeks after release. Lost interest in it after about a week. Maybe I'll go back and finish it.

Finished the third Penumbra game. The series is really good especially it's story but overrated. It has always been described as the scariest series ever in horror gaming. It was very scary at certain points but terrifying beyond relief? No. The first game only has weird dogs that aren't scary but only a slight irritant. The second game is a masterpiece as everything is so well placed and executed and the enemies are terrifying especially since these were indy games. Either way if this is what Amnesia is then I wouln't go out of my way to buy it. Considering writing up a brief review.
