Gamers unite -HQ

I've just decided my top ten of last gen:

Here's my list.

  1. Mass Effect 2
  2. Mass Effect 3
  3. Mass Effect
  4. Mass Effect 3 Online
  5. My first replay of Mass Effect 2
  6. My third replay of Mass Effect 2
  7. My second replay of Mass Effect 3
  8. My fourth replay of Mass Effect 2
  9. My third replay of Mass Effect 3
  10. Skyrim

I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 immensely. I don't get the sense I'd enjoy the other two as much.

I you enjoyed Mass Effect 2 you'll like Mass Effect 3 as it is essentially the same game with slightly better game play. The only reason I like Mass Effect 2 better is because the characters are better. Legion is my favorite character in the trilogy.

I'm currently playing Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. A typical DKC game. Great fun.

I bought the Mass Effect Trilogy last week so that will be my next play once I am done with DKC.

Woo! I'll talk to you in two months once you're done, though that's assuming you'll be pouring several hours a day into the game.

JGlass, my friend, I think Binary Domain would be right up your alley. It must be cheap as anything, even in the States.

Had to Google it to see what it was, but it does look pretty cool. If there's ever a gaming drought for me I'll pick it up, but between my NBA 2k16, Rainbow Six Siege, and the new Witcher DLC coming out, that may be a while. I appreciate the recommendation nonetheless.

Is there anything more frustrating in Pokemon than when you max out your Pikachu and have the debate whether to Raichu him up or not?

The Pokemon games have always been too easy for me personally, so I enjoy setting myself an additional challenge. Nuzlockes also give you an additional attachment to your party, which adds an element of emotion to the game. I always play through the games normally at first so I can take the best advantage of the new environment though.

I've recently started playing through the Crash Bandicoot series again. Before, I always used to feel Warped was the best game in the series, but after replaying them all, I have to conclude that Crash 2 is superior. The jetski and motorcycle levels in Warped are hell, and they happen to be the most common levels, appearing 4 times each.

Crash Team Racing is a very solid racer though. Maybe not quite on the level as Mario Kart 64, but a hundred times better than the fecal matter that is Sonic R.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and Mario Kart 8 are the greatest kart racers ever, anything else is a distant second, and both Crash Team Racing and Mario Kart 64 have aged horribly.

I just might have liked Sonic Allstars Racing more than MK8...

I also didn't think much of MK64 when it came out. Found it significantly inferior to Diddy Kong Racing.

Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed (Ctrl+C to the rescue) definitely has the best single player content of any kart racer by quite some distance.

The tune at the character choice screen that was different depend on which character was highlighted has stuck with me.

And who knew that in that line up there was a drinking, cursing, sex pest squirrel?

Banjo, Conker and tricky from Star Fox Adventures was the first boss.

Casual racism in DK Racing refers to the elephant with a magic carpet and a turban, yes?

That's what always stuck out to me about the game: it introduces a character that a few years later made one of the raunchiest video games of the era.

That said, I always picked Conker.
