National healthcare isn't a bad idea, but a bill that forces people to pay for something they don't want is fucking stupid. I like the way Obama set it up to where it doesn't even take effect until he is out of office so the problems can't be blamed on him. It's typical for him. Take something that is bad, make it worse, and blame it on a Rrepublican. What a joke of a President.

Drugs have definite harms that effect the public at large. What does Joe's not having insurance do to society at large? If people who are uninsured want insurance, they should pay for it. If they can't afford it, there should be a subsidy to help them. The government cannot run this efficiently, and it will destroy medicine in America. First of all, Medicare takes forever to pay doctors, if at all. Why should we expand that plan to not pay doctors? We can't afford to create jobs, but now we can stockpile money to pay for a massive bureaucracy that will slow down treatment and hurt the people who are here to save our lives.

And, before we go blaming Republicans, lets remember that Nebraska and Louisiana Democrats had to be bribed to the tune of nearly a trillion dollars to vote for this bill.
