He doesn't want to be seen as a legit news show. He gladly and frequently says that his show is a comedy show first and foremost. Whereas Hannity hides behind the veil of being a "commentator". According to Obama's staff the trillion is over ten years.

The CBO claims that it would increase deficits by a trillion dollars, which is 100 billion a year, but when you take into account that the estimated revenue from raising taxes on the insurance companies, which barely turn a profit as it is, it's another couple of hundred billion, plus NHC is partially going to be paid for through Medicare and Medicaid cuts which will account for another couple hundred billion, and then you add the $3,000 a year the average American will pay in taxes, and you get pretty close to a trillion bucks....per year. The defiecit will rise by a trillion over ten years, but that's only because he wants to raise taxes and cut benefits to the tune of about 700 billion a year.
