Forgotten Stables

A forgotten stable (although probably forgotten for obvious reasons) was La Familia. It was led by Edge and each member was supposed to represent a family member. The members was Edge (father), Vickie (mother), Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder (sons), Chavo (uncle), and Bam Neely (cousin). This odd stable ended up lasting almost two years.

Edge went on to be an 11 time world champion, Vickie went on to become one of the most hated heels and this stable helped her some with that. Curt Hawkins is in danger of being future endeavoured, his best moments were during the timeframe of this stable when he and Zack Ryder won the WWE Tag Team Championship. Remember that? Ryder's way past that now, although even in his new character I fear he might get future endeavoured. Fingers are crossed that he sticks around. Chavo has become a joke, and it started right around the time of this stable, when Kane defeated him in a grand total of 8 seconds at Wrestlemania 24. Then there's Bam Neely. You might be asking yourself "Who the **** is Bam Neely?". Exactly. He got fired and has not been heard from since.

This was a weird stable but it served its purpose by prodiving Smackdown with a power couple (Edge as world champion, Vickie as GM), tag team champions (Hawkins & Ryder), an ECW Champion in Chavo, and Bam Neely as an enforcer that no one took seriously. Memorable feuds were against Big Show and Undertaker. In the end, it was mainly just Edge and Vickie though. This stable is largely forgotten probably due to how random it was and that half of the members sucked.

EDIT:

Well there was The Cabinet, JBL's short lived stable which contained himself, Orlando Jordan, the Basham Brothers, and I believe some chick with a thing on her face who I can't remember. They were pretty successful for the most part as The Basham's held the Tag Titles, Orlando Jordan held the US Title, and of course JBL was World Champion. I don't know if they all held gold at the same time, but they all held championships while being members of The Cabinet. So that's a pretty successful, yet largely forgotten stable of the past.

Another good one. Although not all of them held titles during this time. Just the guys. Jillian Hall was the girl you referred to and her only title reign ever was as Divas Champion in 2009, it lasted less than a minute.

Does anyone recall Teddy Long's managerial heel run in 2003/2004? He led a loose stable of individuals which he called Thuggin' & Buggin' Enterprises.

It was pro-African American and included D'Lo Brown, Rodney Mack, Christopher Nowinski, Mark Jindrak, Jazz and Mark Henry. I think Rosey may have been involved also. Long would always say ''Get down with the Brown'' and ''Back Da Mack''. He also told us all not be ''drinkin that Hate-orade''. Around this time Rodney Mack had his 5 minute White Boy Challenge which was apruptly ended by Goldberg. I feel its an often forgotten group. What are your feelings on it?

Oh my... how in the world could anybody forget about without a doubt one of the biggest heel stables in WWE history, RIGHT TO CENSOR? They were just so fucking bad ass. Sure, they might not have made it to the world title picture but they were beast. Team members Stevie Richards, Bull Bucannon (sp), The GOODfather, Val Venis, and Ivory (my favorite all time diva). They were this awesome mid card stable that at the time was pretty big.

I don't know why WWE found a reason to break them up because they were totally worth keeping around.

Good call with RTC. What started as a tongue-in-cheek impersonation of the PTC (Parents Television Council) for aggrandizing the TV-14 elements of WWE turned into a pretty funny stable for a while. I remember them crusading against Miss Kitty and covering her up with burlap sacks. Haha. Good times.

Also someone in another thread brought up X-Factor: Justin Credible, Albert and X-Pac. Seemed like a random combination of people with nothing better to do to me. X-Pac was the quintessential "I'm only over because of the group I'm facelessly blending in with" kinda guy, so as a leader of a faction, especially one with an Uncle Kracker song with a "thug" sounding guy screaming "X-FACTOR!" randomly spliced into it probably wasn't the best idea.

Impact Players from ECW consisting of Justin Credible, Lance Storm, The decoder man alive Jason and Dawn Marie had been a personal favorite stable of mine. These guys ran rings around the company till the belt was put on Justin.

ECW never really had stables because at that time, WWE and WWE where doing that thing but they did have the network that ran for years. Lots of guts came and went but was always ran by Cyrus the virus! A character created to vent Pauls frustration at TNA. One of the major storylines was trying to get the tv title off RVD which he held for nearly 2 years. Eventually RVD had to let the title go after Jerry Lynn broke his leg. I'm sure the network also had issues with The Sandman which wad felt with by the networks Rhyno. Good times.

I loved 3 Count especially when they had Tank Abbot; he would come out and introduce them and dance. They would bring out those big green dots and perform dance choreographies.

" Get up on your feet...put your hands together....we like the backstreet boys, nysnc too...britney spears is kinda cute!!!!!!! everybody, 1 2 ttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhrrrrreeeeeeee"

Cant forget about the west texas rednecks; PURE GOLD.

The young dragons were pretty funny too especially the backstage stuff with Ernest Miller.

Thuggin and Buggin Enterprises was great too and the 5 minute whiteboy challenge lol

Ravens Flock, the alliance, BWO, and vampiro and icp (juggalos)

The Union. It was like The Corporation at the time were like the NWO, Austin was WCW & The Union were the Four Horsemen. I felt they could have gone places, had Mankind not gotten injured and I would've loved to have seen more members join The Union to oppose The Corporation, hell maybe Austin would help them out even though he wouldn't be a member. But Union vs. Corporation would've been a iconic stable war which could've come to an end at Survivor Series that year with the losing stable having to disband, had The Union & Corporation lasted longer. Plus their theme song is one of the best ever. It's so badass, you have to listen to it if you haven't.

The Radicalz. They lacked charisma but their theme song was pretty badass too.

X-Factor with X-Pac, Justin Credible and Albert. Man, I just didn't like that from the get go and the fact that they came out to Uncle Cracker made it that much worse. Also Team Canada in WCW. It wasn't that bad but when they forced Mike Awesome in there when the guy is from Tampa, Florida and then you turn 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan heel by having a guy, who's gimmick is based on his love for the USA, turn to Canada. Didn't like it.
